    -----------------------------------------------------------------

It was a day like any other in the Hidden Leaf. The sun was shining and the village was filled with people. However, today there were more people than usual. Genin from all over the shinobi world walked about talking and interacting. Yes it was a special day indeed. Today would mark the beginning of the Chunin exams.

Meanwhile, humming could be heard as a woman walked through her home carrying and emtpy basket. "Nagato. Time to wake up." She said as she entered her son's room. Nagato awoke with a groan. He sat up and stretched. "It's so early." He said as he stretched out a bit. "Start getting ready. You told me to wake you up extra early so you could go meet with Ren and Hajime before you take your exams." Nagato's mother said as she picked up dirty clothes scattered across the floor.

Upon hearing the word exam Nagato quickly got out of bed and quickly began getting dressed. "That's right! We're gonna take the Chunin exams!" He said excitedly as he finished getting dressed. Finally, he tied his leaf headband and made sure his uzumaki band was attached firmly to the part of his sleeve of his upper right arm. "Bye mom!" He said as he ran out of his room. However, not even 5 seconds passed and he was back. He kissed his mom on the cheek and quickly was on his way again. "Love ya mom! See you later!" Nagato called out as he left heading for Ichiraku ducking passed the various people currently traversing the Hidden Leaf.

Sora stood there looking at the huge main gates of the hidden leaf, other ninja and civilians were walking around and the village itself looked busy with activity.

Oi Sora, are you going to stand there all day or are we going to go inside? The Chunin exams start today!

"Alright alright" Sora muttered back, it was a strange existence but Sora knew that talking back aloud to the voice would make him sound strange - but he knew differently; within himself was another sentient being - the eight tails Gyuki. "It was a long trek from Iwagakure - you could of at least offered a hand you know."

Try not to talk out loud when your talking to me kid, unless you want folk to think your mad, and there is not much I can do as I doubt you could do a full transformation.

Sora dismissed this with a shake of the head, his hair moving away from his forehead where two red dots had been tattooed there; he had been told that had happened to him before he was found there; after catching his breath Sora began to walk forwards into the Hidden Leaf village, having stopped by the booth to register that he was from Iwa and that he was taking the Chunin exam.

"On your own?" the guard had said when he saw Sora's headband tied around his arm"well good luck to you" after obtaining directions to the stadium Sora left the booth attendant and ventured in to the village.

"Wonder whats good eating here?" Sora questioned himself aloud, this time to himself - as he doubted Gyuki had actually eaten anything food wise from this place; it was tough being himself Sora thought as he always over thought things, even the little things about where to eat - after all his thinking and not paying attention to where he was going, found himself outside a small hut type building 'Ichiraku Ramen'.

"Here for the Chunin exam?" the guy behind the checkout asked. "Yes how did you know?" "Simple - I can see your headband around your arm and we dont get many kids your age from other villages here apart from when the exams start - tell ya what, everything half price!"

After four bowls of Ramen later

"Thank you for the food and your kindness sir - I must be heading to the stadium now...

(Edit) Green Italics are when Gyuli is talking to Sora and white speech is just random people like guards etc)

Volgun cracked his neck while walking on the path to Kohona. "It sure is different from Kirigakure, all we get is mist and rain, this sun feels good" Volgun said to the other two members of his team, Ryou and Jeni, while they got closer to the gate. He shook his thick dark red hair, trying to wake up. There team had traveled all night to make it here for the exams on time, and he didn't get any sleep. Jeni said "Do you wanna head to grab a bite to eat before we head to the exam building?", the two boys agreed quickly, as they where dying for some grub. While eating their food they saw lots of kids their age walk in and out of the place, and pass by heading to go to the exam building. The three kids paid for the food and walked out. Volgun felt it was time to equip his swords and head to the exams. Taking out the two weapons from his bag he was carrying, he slung them around his back and started to get ready.

After they where all ready and equipped, they started towards their destination. They didn't talk much, small talk wasn't really needed, the nervousness of being a rookie at the chunin exams scared them all, as they didn't know what amount of skill would be there, and of course they all heard the tales of people dying in the exams, but this is what they trained for, this was the moment to really go all out.

The sunlight threw its ubiquitous bright glare over the small girl slumped uncharacteristically in front of the window. The words in her book stopped registering to the glazed-over eyes and became a mere mess of symbols that now seemed too insignificant to keep her attentive enough to decipher them. All of the details of her reading session had now become so blurred that she couldn’t even recall what it had been for. Her cognitive processes had ground to a halt roughly four hours ago, when the sun had already settled in the distant mountains and a feeling of drowsiness started taking over. She groaned against the bright rays of sunlight that slid through the cracks of her room’s curtains, raising one of her arms in an attempt to block it.

“You’re going to be late. Get up.” Her uncle called, briefly looking over at the Genin. He moved her bag from the table to its usual spot by the door, and then proceeded to heave open the curtains, before leaving her to wake up at her own pace. Atlas sighed, blinking several times before beginning to force herself to sit up and shift her gaze over to the clock. She pushed herself up and left the chair, heading for her bed on which she had arranged her clothing for the day. It wasn’t as if she hadn’t counted on awakening on the chair by the window; that was her usual sleeping spot after all. Next to the lone chair, there was an unstable pile of library books that had kept her entertained for the last weeks. They were all meant as research. After dressing herself in her usual ninja-attire, she left the room in a hurry- but not before grabbing the small bag that lay next to the door, and the headband that was tied to one of its shoulder straps.

When she entered the living room, her uncle was sitting at the breakfast table. Before he could, she started: “I’ll have breakfast at Ichiraku.” Then she headed out, whilst tying the headband around her upper right arm. It sort of defied the purpose of the ninja-tool, but leaving it to rest on her forehead wouldn’t do her much good either, if an adversary ever came that close the steel wouldn't hold him for long. Her uncle replied with a few words of encouragement, and then she left the safety of her home for the outside world of the Hidden Leaf. Her comrades would most likely take breakfast at their respective places, so she reckoned she would have to find them once she arrived at the location of the first exam. The three of them had been tasked with preparing for it, roughly since the beginning of the previous month.

Kimiko and Yuki walked out the door heading toward the spot they always meet Yuu and her other teammate at. Today was different as it was the start of the Chunin exams and ninja from all over was coming into Konoha. Kimiko loved that she would get to take part in this event as she was ready to become a Chunin. Of course the most appealing thing about the Chunin Exams is that she got to look upon new people and see who she and her team would be put agents. Kimiko and Yuki made it to Yuu it seemed they had been waiting a while for them to arrive. Smiling brightly Kimiko spoke loudly. “So you guys ready to start the exams?” Yuu shook his head slightly. “Slow down first we have to hand in the papers.” Kimiko looked dumbfounded she did not remember any papers. Just then Yuki nudged Kimiko in the arm with his snout. Looking down Kimiko seen Yuki had something in his mouth, taking it form Yuki, Kimiko read the paper. It seemed to be the paper that Yuu was talking about. “Thanks Yuki I totally forgot about this.” Smiling she showed Yuu the papers. He looked at it in slight disgust as it had dog drool all over it. Kimiko however did not seem to notice anything wrong. Knowing Kimiko would problem never notice the thing that others obviously would Yuu just suggested to eat at his aunt’s shop.

Hajime slowly rose from his bed, washed his face and brushed his teeth. They were having breakfast at Ichiraku's today and despite not being the type of person for breakfast he was somewhat looking forward to the day. Not because of the ramen but because of the Chuunin exams. He slowly got dressed in his traditional clan uniform - a dark blue oriental jacket with the clan logo on back, some black trousers and the sandals ofcourse. He grabbed his forehead protector from the desk and put it in his pocket. As he walked downstairs he immediatly walked out of the door. His parents weren't up yet so.. not much to say to them. It usually was like that, he was left to fend on his own. Not that it mattered to Hajime, he was kind of the einzelgänger of the village anyway..

As he walked down the street most eyes were pointed at him. Most of the genins probably face the same thing they were well known in here due to taking the exams. After that they would forget about them again, hopefully, but for now they were the center of attention. He decided to ignore it and put his hands in his pockets. A rock flew across the ground as he kicked it, and continued to do so all the way to Ichiraku's Ramen. Once there he shoved the curtains aside only to find he was the first one there apart from Ichiraku himself. Hajime decided to sit down and shut up as he had nothing interesting to say to the man, and the man probably felt the same way.

"Hey Teuchi are Ha..." Nagato stopped moving as he saw Hajime upon entering the shop. "Oh good." He said calmly as he took a seat beside him. "You seen Ren today?" He asked calmly. It was early, but not that early now. It was just about the perfect time for breakfast. The exams would be starting in about an hour or so meaning they didn't need to rush. Nagato couldn't help, but smirked feeling the excitement pulse through his body.

"I know you're not a breakfast guy Hajime, but try to eat something. You know... Cause it's better for you to have something in you. Helps with energy and all that." He said before Teuchi came over. "Lemme get a Pork Ramen with extra everything okay." He said politely smiling. "Sure thing. Being that it's a special occasion and I've had so much business I'm even giving half price deals to the genin as a sort of good luck." The now old man said smiling.

((lol um... Teuchi is Ichiraku Ramen guy's name so... let's say this is his grandson who's already also an old man XD))

Sora had just got to the room where the information had told them they had to meet for the start of the examination proceedings would take place when two people walked up him, a boy of equal height with shoulder length brown hair and a girl with short blonde hair, his team mates.

"Dammit Sora"were the first words out of the girls mouth "Where the hell you been at? We thought you were going to skip out on the exams? Now lets hurry up and get some seats before it gets too crowded."

With small nods from both boys, they walked inside with the needed paperwork in hand, waiting for everyone else to get here.

Sorry for the shortness of the post, just wanted to get Sora's team mates in the RP and to move my plot along a bit :P

Striding through the streets of Konohagakure's main center, Atlas headed for the well-known eating establishment named Ichiraku. It wasn't all that far from where she lived, but it was not as if she was in a hurry, either. There was still roughly an hour until the beginning of the Chunin Exams; and arriving early would only make for more worrying. This was one of the few events she was nervous for, yet completely readied. Her uncle had lent his equipment to her, to get acquainted with and for training purposes. Her skills with the average ninja tools were only minor, yet she could defend against them without much problems. Strategies had been developed during the last weeks, and her comrades had been brieft on almost all of them as well. All that was left for her to do was to have breakfast, head for the correct location and then take the infamous Chunin Exams.

The gears of her mind stopped their constant turning, and she arrived at the small ramen-serving restaurant. It hadn't been too long since she last visited, and when she entered and the smell entered her nostrils, she felt right at home. That didn't mean she was only, though. Two others were already seated; both Genin from Konohagakure. She shot a smile towards them before turning to the man known as Teuchi and ordered.

    Meanwhile..

"..but I don't want to be late!" Ren Shichirou complained to his friend, giving him a friendly slap on the back. He was a sturdy boy, if perhaps a tad bit lacking in height. His usual position in them was that of the leader- in other words-, he led the wolf pack. The genin that walked next to him- Daisuke Takehiko -had a very different character from him. Where Ren was fierce, hot-headed and a born slacker, Daisuke had a much softer nature. He was the heart of the team; a kind-hearted blond, with a keen eye for detail and an interest in all kinds of medical knowledge. Instead of heading for Ichiraku's, they had decided upon taking their breakfast at home and meet up later. Later turned into after Ren woke up and found the way to his friend's appartment. Apparently, the hot-head had been to energetic to sleep- or have breakfast -and thus they both had to head for the location of the Chunin Exams, immediately. Daisuke didn't have much choice in the matter, but he didn't mind; they were friends after all.

In the distance, Daisuke's eyes could make out the eating establishment that sold the most delicious ramen he had ever tasted; his stomach stirred. "We won't be late, at all! One bowl of ramen won't-" He tried, only to be interrupted by his comrade for the fifth- or perhaps sixth -time that morning. "We are not getting ramen! Let's just get there, I want to see what other ninja's came. Genin from all over the world, imagine the.."

Hajime was simply staring around when he forgot that he had not ordered yet. He slowly looked up and looked around for Teuchi. “Excuse me.. can I have a portion of ramen please.. just normal.” He looked down at the counter again and slowly tapped on it. He was quite relaxed as always, but then again, you could never really tell with Hajime. When Nagato started talking to him again he simply sighed and looked him in the eyes. “I'm sorry Nagato..” Hajime was not that enthousiastic about the exams.. just another day in Konohagakure, really.

Suddenly a girl walked in, one with square glasses on her nose. She seemed kind of brittle from a quick look but so did Hajime. Death was in a small corner. He smiled slightly. So big corners are not as deadly as they seem. He looked back at Nagato and imagined him to be a large corner. He looked down again before turning to the girl again. “I'm Hajime. I suppose you're here for breakfast before the exams.. right..? Just like us then.. genius Nagato came up with that plan..” He sighed thinking about how he could've trained a bit more before taking to the written exams.

The hot bowl of soup was put down in front of him, so he started eating. Not because he was hungry.. because he was forced to.. stupid Nagato..
