I honestly can't decide what species I want to play. There are so many possible ways for this play out.

For the record, as I said, I do have a plot in mind. But, as with all of my RPs, I only create the key events. I let the players drive the story between the events and decide exactly how the events play out. I just build the story around what happens. Leaves room for lots of surprises - even for me.

Hm... maybe an Asari Spectre. That'd be interesting.

Mass Effect!

Since it's a brand new story, what are the chances the players can bring in a new alien race or two to be part of the crew?

I have an idea for a new, humanlike race that would emerge from the disaster (an even younger race than humans to achieve interstellar travel) that was come into contact with when the Salarians were looking for Element Zero to fix their Mass Relays and subsequently introduced in the past 100 years -an idea I am bouncing around. Of course there will be way more details and history which I will contemplate and I have played the 3 games to know how the universe works (will send you a PM regarding this new race).

Each Mass Effect game seems to highlight some new lore on the lesser known/new races. Which is where I got the idea, however, if you do not want to try the idea -I am still interested in this roleplay. :3

OOH!, I didn't think of that earlier o.o now that new races are brought up >.> I've actually been pretty thoroughly designing an alien species of my own for nearly a decade xD Bit by bit by bit by bit If ya don't Mind, I could send some relevant info on what I'd have in mind =3 There's a LOT and not all would be relevant of course, so i wouldn't send the 'whole' thing, though that would leave room for bits and pieces to be revealed over-time by the character himself XD

If I join, could my character be a teenage human biotic, who was biologically engineered by Cerberus to be a stronger biotic than any other human, but he was out in cryo stasis until now, whenever the humans find his cyro pod drifting in an empty and abounded Cerberus Vessel and wake him? Granted he would be hostile at first, but when he realizes they aren't Cerberus, he would become an ally?

Isn't there 'no more cerberus' by now? or is that one of those things that managed to persevere this long as well regardless? XD

Yes, you can make your own species. But, there is no more Cerberus. And, as advanced as their tech got, I doubt that a damaged ship would sustain enough power to maintain a cryo cell for two centuries. That's a bit much.

well, a single Cryo cell could probably last that long as long as the ship's damage wasn't way too severe, and there weren't any other systems taking power, it's possible that the 'event' that ended the Reapers could've fried the ships systems, leading to the obvous death of cerberus personell on board aside from those in cryo, who could've been shut down from power loss over the ages, they could end up having found it right on the verge of failing. Given that by the time the protheans were beat down, they made cryo pods that could last for Millenia even after being attacked by the Reapers.
