We were told heaven's gate had returned. We went there searching for answers only to find lies. It was a trap, a plan by an organization to rid the world of contractors. They lured all of us into one city and then sealed it shut.

The lucky ones had their teams with them. It would be helpful for what happened next. Soon after the gates locked down all the T.V.'s cut on to a man at a pedestal who said the only way we were getting out is if we killed everyone else.

The brief period of peace that has lingered when we thought we had arrived in heaven shattered. Everyone started killing each other and to make things worst the city was swarmed by dolls. They infested the place, there were thousands of them maybe more. They all thought they were human, living normal lives and it would appear that way sometimes. Then your neighbor would pull a gun on you and try to kill you. You could try to kill them but it only made you stand out to the other contractors. It happened to me a couple times, I found out it was better to run from a doll than attract the attention of a contractor.

Some of the contractors formed alliances in an act to reduce the number of threats, most signed a contract agreeing to work together until there was no one left but themselves but contractors are not human. We don't have emotions and we do not hold ourselves to a bond other than the one we must fulfill to use our powers. We do what we need to do to survive. That's all we do now, survive. I remember a time when things were a little less chaotic. They're just memories now.

I'd be very interested in working something out around this with you. I'd even planned to make my own role play off of it at some point.

Sounds like a plan, though I do hate how I keep liking these characters just so they can die at the end of each part (seeing as every two episodes are two sections)

Not all of the characters end up dying after there two episode run.

I am thinking the best setting would be a world similar [perhaps mostly the same] to that of the Darker than BLACK universe but it wouldn't contain any of the original characters [e.g. no Hei, Mao or Kirihara].

I'd have to look at whatever 'darker than black' is first =3 in the morning most likely XD But if It's got you in it [Storyboy], Then there may be a good chance I'll have ideas for helping out with it XD

Shoryu this might actually be something you could help with actually XD it has people with powers and such, it's on netflix if you have an account but if not the basics from what I know is...

-the stars have been replaced by false stars and each of those false stars represent a contractor

-a contractor is someone who appears human but isn't and they have abilities which so far are either combat based or spying on others (the later being like can see through water, as in if your in downtown San Diego and I'm on the otherside of it, as long as I'm by water you can see me through it like a distant eye. You'll get it when you see it in the show)

-contractors must pay a penalty for using their powers, they are all unique for each contractor. They range from painful task like breaking your own finger, annoying task like drinking a drink you hate, or odd task like folding the corners of every page in a book.

-dolls are fake people. They have the memories of being a particular person and look like them, feel like them, but they're not and don't know it. They could live a regular life until whoever made them controls them.


okay I could be off with some of that but from what I know so far that's correct. Also there's a heaven and hell's gate. Anyone who has walked past Hell's gate has died in this hell of a city, and heaven's gate dissapeared and not much is known about it (by me since I've only watched now 6 episodes)

I've only seen a handful of episodes myself but loved the concept and wanted to do a rp based off it myself. As long as its original characters count me in.

Well i saw the first episode xD and i'm checkin out the wiki, thus far I'm still interested =3 i'll be curious to see what ya came up with Story xD


oooh, Hell's and Heaven's gates remind me of 'the zone' from the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. =3 cept 'the zone' usually just kills people >.> then again, it does have a habit of 'affecting' people in unusual ways if they can find some way to co-exist with it.

HEy story =3 I made a CS Skeleton to see if you think it'd work well for the RP, just my first attempt of course, plenty can be changed =3

Also I already have an idea for a contractor power XD Shapeshifting at the price of Self infliction. More specifically, he can alter his body in various ways, but in order to use the power he must first harm himself in some way, from a simple punch to the face to ramming into something really hard, the extent and duration of his power when he uses it will depend on how much harm he willingly caused himself. He can also 'quick heal' the self infliction, meaning recover from ONLY things he'd done to himself, essentially a reversal of self inflicted harm, it cannot be used to recover from things other people have done, though he could technically recover from them faster than a normal human could.

Also the things he recovers would be situational too, If he inflicted multiple harms and power effects, then healing one will remove whatever power effect he created using that particular payment.

For Contractors:

Power: The unique power of a contractor of course, It can be incredibly varied.


Obeisance: The price a contractor must pay for the use of their power, it can vary between all kinds of things, from being forced to drink a certain type of thing, or inflicting self injury, and other stuff. One thing is for sure, refusing to pay the price will lead to the contractor's death.

Note: It 'is' possible to fully pay off a contract and forego further payments, but doing so requires a severe price of some sort, some contractors did so through 'death' or the loss of their body for instance. If you want to use a 'paid off' contractor, you will require something drastic and believable [in terms of the RP story] to explain it.


For Dolls:

State: Emotionless or Still has emotions?

Medium: The type of thing through which your Doll can send their 'ghost'. such as iron, water, dirt, and so on. The doll must remain in contact with the medium in question to be able to send their spying ghost to any other source of the same medium.


For All:

Personality: Dolls 'normally' are emotionless and bland but can vary sometimes, Contractors 'have' emotions but are considered hyper-rational in that emotions never play a part in their choices [this can be varied though, as nothing says that a contractor can't remain what would be called 'humanity']

Back Story: not required to especially explain every little detail, just some about who they are. Given that the common method of creating a contractor is not explained, It may be easier to let that be personal secrets for teh characters.
