Elder Scrolls: Fall of the Blades

The Blades are the Empire's eyes and ears, a mysterious and secretive group of warriors, mages, and spies who work across Tamriel to protect the Empire. Though no longer tasked with the protection of the Emperor, they still serve a vital role in the defense of the Empire from threats both internal and external.

No threat is greater than the Aldmeri Dominion. Rising in the southeast, this Thalmor-led Ellen empire has slowly been massing power and consolidate territory under their control. The Blades, ever-vigilant, are the only ones who see this threat for what it is: a preparation to topple the Empire of Man. With the Empire unwilling to act without further proof of the intentions of the Thalmor, the Grandmaster of the Blades has ordered his men and women to undertake two dangerous and important tasks: sabotage or slow the Thalmor ambitions however possible and prepare for the war which only they can see coming...

This roleplay happens on the eve of the Great War and will focus on the preparations and missions of the Blades to hamper the Dominion and prepare the Empire. We may even delve into some of the Great War. I will play the Grandmaster, as well as other characters as needed. Players can be Blades (preferred), Imperial officials, Thalmor, or others who are somehow swept up into the impending conflict. This is a story to which the end is already known, so be prepared that many characters will die, and those who do not will go into hiding.

Could be interesting. I haven't actually been involved in an Elder Scrolls RP but I have played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Now just need a couple more people.

I say just put it in the advanced section. I am never sure why people are always so scared of the advanced section. The only difference I can find is that the RP's actually last longer and the overall quality is a little better. I don't think it is too much to ask for a couple of well written paragraphs that actually add something to your character, their interactions and the general plot.

Are you planning to use the shouts from Skyrim or are you going to keep it as a simpler fantasy style RP using the Elder Scrolls game as a template?

Well, considering it takes a lifetime of training to learn even basic shouts, I'd say no. They never made an appearance until Skyrim and even then it was only the Dragonborn and Ulfric who could shout with any power or regularity.

True enough. Also, upon consideration, the actual game mechanic set up to use it wouldn't really transplant well onto the forum. It would be a bitch to work out cool down and also make sure that the shouts weren't too over powered.

I am thinking of a couple of ideas for characters. I am not up on blade lore but do they exclude any of the non-imperial races from joining?
