Bio: Back when Garn was but a child, he had an interest in tinkering, due partly to his father owning a weapon shop on Coruscant. His family had left Mandalore, his mother, not being a native, believed the planet was far too hostile a place for a child to grow up.
During Garn's years working at the weapon shop, someone had brought in an old set of Republic Clone Commando armor, that was virtually destroyed. Garn was fascinated with the 'ancient' technology, and he set to work reconstructing it with old parts he could find over the years.
Garn had finally finished the armor, when his aging mother used her life savings to buy him the last piece he needed, for his eighteenth birthday. The ecstatic young adult put the part in, and the suit flickered to life.
Immediately, Garn signed up for the naval special forces division in the New Republic Fleet. He spent much time learning the basics of star cruisers in the Academy, which was the hardest part to learn whilst he was there. He had a knack for shooting already, due to his background, and he quickly became known as a skilled soldier in the ranks.
When he reached the rank of officer, he was shoved in command of the N5-Darkwind, a frigate in the New Republic Navy, garrisoned over Coruscant.
