    Post Legacy of Jarmoth: Adria

    Legacy of Jarmoth: Adria

Jarmoth is an ancient world, it's people are numerous and diverse, ranging from giant barbarians to the most civilised of elves.

The continent of Dre’Val, a land known for the hardiness of its barbarian people who know nothing but war, live as they always have, their many clans and tribes waging war on each other. Those among them who have been blessed with magic and intellect seek to leave the continent in pursuit of their talents, or stay to rise up in their respective tribes and continue the eternal wars.

The great continent of Grandia, the continent of greatest magic, where dragons and elves and dwarves and all kinds of legendary creatures dwell, is passing through a golden age of peace and prosperity. For the first time in centuries its inhabitants have made peace with each other, the elves putting down their war staffs, the dwarves storing their mighty weapons and armour in the depths of their mountains homes, while the dragons watch from their sky cities, aloof to the troubles of lesser beings.
Fradinteig, Halvara and Jedra have all achieved balance. Fradinteig, land of the legendary ice and fire giants, Halvara land of the spirit mages, men who can leave their bodies, heal the spirit of others or attack the very souls of those who stand before them, it is a land of many spirits, of the splendor of an ancient magic. And finally, Jedra, land of the noble Jedrans, the only people who have united their whole continent, turning it into one nation under one ruler, they are known to be the finest humans, tall, strong dark skinned men, able to craft weapons on par with the elves and dwarves of Grandia.

Only one continent continues to suffer the ravages of war and disunity, Adria; a continent made up of two huge islands. The continent is split into five diverse nations, each with culture and traditions of their own:
Mardithia, High Ifferia, The Majdal Empire, Thirrmod and Andaluja.
The High Emperor of the Majdal Empire, the High Thian of Mardithia, the Emperor of High Ifferia, the Council of the Bow and the Senzero of Thirrmod, the Council of Wise-men and the Khalifa of Andaluja. These are the great powers which rule over the nations of Adria.

Where will you come in? How will you be able to change Adria? Will you spread unity and peace? Will you wreak destruction and terror? Will you live life for yourself? Will you pursue the Arcane? Create a character, and create a tale to be told again and again, a never-ending story of these people...these people of Adria.

REMEMBER, THE BETTER YOUR CHARACTER SHEET IS WRITTEN, THE MORE DETAIL THERE IS ETC, THE MORE LIKELY IT WILL BE ACCEPTED.
If you write half a paragraph for history and then make your characters magical talent and ability the highest it can be, it will not be accepted. If they have high magical talent, go into detail in the history, likewise for magical ability.

    Name:Lotus
Age:17(shes been working on such a goal since she was five compared to you guys it also makes her less attuned to combat)
gender:Female, depending on whether or not shes experimenting with said thing.
    Race:Andaluja
Sexuality- Bisexual, but i know it's a step more diverse from it actually. It's complicated.H
Appearance:(sorry couldn't find it with pointy ears, and ignore the wrench). 6 foot 8 in height and 210 lbs.
Personality-A bit extravagant a good mix of mad scientist vibe mixed with a cleric. It is really hard to explain this characters personality in anyway sorry so i just used a good mix.
Equipment- A lot of research materials.
enchanted gloves used to enhance her magic.
    Summoning supplies.
and a few spirit stones for her golemns

Bio:A harsh life led her to become bitter towards god and gave her obsession towards trying to create life. Threw the years she has studied under four masters although the last one was cut short. The first was a druid known as the sower of life. He took her in due to her love of life, and he specialized in not just controlling plants, but making them adapt. She took this concept to a whole new level and made her own brand of creatures known as jells out of micro organisms during a early attempt at creation. Her second master was a necromancer who took her in for her bitterness at god, and her will to do anything for power and create a true salvation. Obviously the third was a architect who took her in simply because she begged. Soon they died, and since then she has been searching for a way to truly bring back the dead.
Guild paragon(or empire if you need her to ) As big of a eat. and go back to feed the earth, type druid as she is she. still believes in the overall protection of life.
Starting Class: druid/msgi-craft/necro(it is just the term you should use) Also known as the wonderful Druid. magi tech(golemns and things of the like), necromancer, summoner extraordinaire. Her goal is to make a living creature from nothing, but in the mean time she can participate in frivolous matters such as political warfare. She isn't that strong shes just learned every possible way that may lead to creating life. Her pets as she calls them are unstable. her toys are breakable and hard to make, necromancy is well necromancy. Btw by necromancer im going with the d and d clerical necromancer here not the wizard bs. Raising the dead is healing... just not a humane way of healing.
Note there actually is growth branches to this is the weird part.

Strengths-She can raise a army given enough time. If you leave her unchecked in combat it can get overwhelming. Her creatures can shield her.

Weaknesses- She is extremely vulnerable due to her lack of self fighting skills, including basic attacking spells. She is a very slow start seeing as most of her creatures and summons take time to grow, be started up, or materialize. She can only keep a mental connection with so many things

Theme-Her character concept is about growth and adaptation, but has a underlying theme of not being able to change her mistakes only adapt.

Other:At the beginning she will probably have a how many time shes been owned count because she will not be good at combat

(will this do i had it made for another thread but the character fits so well in the race i have to give it a shot.)
My computer once had over 300 cookies. So I put it on a diet.

    NAME: Sun Dai’chi

    ALIAS: Sun
DoB (Day and Month): 5th of December

    GENDER: Male

    HEIGHT: 5’11

    WEIGHT: 180lb

ETHNICITY (What Nation S/He Originates From): High Ifferia

    AGE: 19

HAIR: Shoulder length, thick and black. He usually ties it so that it does not bother him during combat.

EYES: His eyes are very thin Asian like, and are a deep black.

BODY MARKINGS (Scars, Tattoos etc.): He is tattooed the Code of the Kenraiton on both of his pectorals. Otherwise he bears a few battle scars but not many.

BUILD/APPEARANCE (Written Description or Image): Sun’s body is lean and muscular, every muscle clearly defined and strong. It was forged in the many years of his training and devotion on his great goal to become a Kentaiki master. His legs and torso make an even split of his self, creating a perfect harmony of balance and spirit. His hands and feet are of normal size for a man his height. Although his body was a perfect match and could easily be molded the way he wanted, his face is a different matter. Not remotely close to ugliness, quite the contrary, his visage his firmly clasped by his square jaw. His nose elegantly jumps from his face, never once broken, a rare thing on a warrior’s face. Even so, he wished he could transform his look with hard work, something that is not possible.

CLOTHING: He wears a decorated and dark leather armor set; gauntlets decorated with golden claw insignias, a cuirass adorned by a jeweled tiger’s head and elaborate decorations surrounding it, greaves emblasonedwith a few carvings and finally, boots yet again decorated with symbols. He wore blood red clothing and a cloak, this time bearing little decoration.

HISTORY: Sun was but a child when he was sent to study the Kenraiton martial arts. From whence he came he does not remember, and was never actually told by his teachers and mentor, Ruy Nai’kimo, who consistently refused to tell him his origins. He was never actually visited by relatives and was left to wonder if he was to ever see his family ever again. As far as he could recall, he had been born within the academy. He would often wonder about his parents and the mystery they represented, and what had led them to bring him here, never to return. Although never completely removing his curiosity concerning his parents, this whole was not to rule his life. He filled it with the presence of his mentor, whom he strove to make proud. And he was successful. He would study hard and push himself to the limit when came the time to practice. He learned the ways of battle making the Kenraiton way his life.

Even if he gave himself completely to his studies, he did get to meet new friends with whom he became friends with during his stay at the school. He was not a loner although it did prove difficult for him to socialize he made sure to give some time to his fellow students. And so life kept going for a time. Sure, he was oft challenged and life was not always pretty at school. At some point, he was engaged in secret skirmished between student gangs, others, he fought rival teacher’s favorites, always proving that he, Sun the Nameless, Ruy Nai’kimo’s favorite, was the strongest. But in general, life was uneventful, hidden in the cocoon that was school.

It was not before the age of 18 that Sun, knowing full well that he would never have anyone better then Ruy Nai’Kimo as a father figure, he went on and asked for the honor of becoming his son. Ruy was not overly pleased with the demand, the reasons unknown to Sun. Ruy would not explain himself and told him that he would need to become his own man, and that he could not rely on him to develop into the man he was meant to be. Such reasoning, Sun did not understand but tried valiantly to decipher what his mentor had tried to convey unto him. Before long, Sun thought he had understood his master’s demand, that he become his own person. He named himself Sun Dai’chi, and declared he was his own man. That was not all though. He would need to do more. But first he would need to become a full blown Kenraiton. And so he did at the age of 19. Sun Dai’chi became a warrior of High Ifferia, along with many of his comrades. Celebrations happened, festivities to commemorate the inauguration of many Kenraiton, students of Sun’s age who had become warriors. But such was not enough. Sun did not yet feel he was who he needed to be. His becoming a Kenraiton did not feel satisfying enough. There had to be something else…

And so he knew: a pilgrimage, one where he would go around the world to learn the meaning of the Code of the Kenraiton. He would learn what it truly meant to be part of the Kenraiton. He informed his mentor and his friends. He would have to leave, alone, and learn the Code on his own, independently of his former friends and what he considered his family. After many goodbyes Ruy invited Sun into his apartments for a final farewell. Ruy was fiercely proud of what Sun had become, but most importantly, the decision he had made to go on a pilgrimage. He granted him a great gift; his armor and his sword, exotic weaponry. But even more intriguing was a promise Ruy made to Sun before he left. Then it was time to go, and Sun headed out, towards the world.

PERSONALITY: Curious and naïve. Sun was had never once set foot outside the school and was not entirely warned of the dangers it posed to those who would not be careful. He has much to learn. On the other hand, he his very strong willed. He will push himself to the limit to achieve his goals. He is also extraverted. At school, he was the center of his world. He sees no reason this should not be so in the real world either. He his not afraid to open up to people he considers worth the talking. This also leads to his imminent confidence. Having known nothing but success in school and being the person people looked up to during the years have forged an incredible sense of accomplishment and assurance. He does not doubt his own abilities.

LIKES: He loves a good fight. It is the core of his character, as martial arts are his favored activity. He loves finding new things. He was secluded in a small area of the world. The sheer vastness of it all makes him want to see every corner of the planet. Just like he loves finding new areas to explore, he enjoys socializing with new people. He loves artisanal weaponry and armor. Out of all the artistic showcases, those are his favorites.

DISLIKES: The demeanor of the world leaves him in a sour mood on occasion. To him, society should follow the Code. With its values upheld, there would be endless harmony, yet many are fueled by their own selfish desires. He disdains greed and injustice above all. But mostly, cornered by so many new things, he has not had yet the time to assess his dislikes.

FEARS: Above all, Sun fears failure and rejection. He has always won, always been the best. Such a desire to be the best was inherently powered by his inherent fear of failing in what he wishes to accomplish. Yet, isn’t the fear of failure ultimately connected to that of rejection? He does not know where he is from, and although it never got to his head, it still left a scar.

WEAKNESSES: That of any human. Thirst, hunger, wounds, etc. Most of all though, magic users. He is not used to magic, and himself, never fought a wizard of any kind. In case of magic he might just be more vulnerable than other, more experienced fighters.

STRENGTHS: He is an incredible martial artist, knowing many fighting styles and above all, a great sword-wielder. Great parkour skills.

ITEMS (Staffs, Swords, Orbs etc): The sword of Ruy Nai’kimo, a long blade of Jedran steel. It is enchanted to be light weight, ornamented by many insignias and symbols. On the blade is carved markings, saying: Justice, Courage, Benevolence, Respect, Honesty, Loyalty and Wisdom.

    Experience points: 8

Edit: Here's an image I found that really fit Sun. It's not him exactly but highly representative of his style.

Makiaka, it's a good character, but it's not fitting for this RP.
I'm not sure if you've read the first post, but things like necromancy are an extremely advanced magic, no one will be allowed to start with it, although it can be developed. The fact that she was also taken in by a necromancer in Andaluja is not fitting as firstly, there exists only one or two in Jarmoth and both are on Eladnos, secondly, Andaluja wouldn't have powerful magi such as those she studied with unless they're on Eladnos. And thirdly, magi can live for millions of years, so them dying is also not too in line with the RP.
I would prefer you remade her to fit (after reading the first post) or try your hand at another character

Rope, from what I've read so far, you seem good. I'll finish reading it later today and tell you. But so far so good.

And Maia, just read the first post and create a character sheet ;D

Rope, finished reading your CS. Fantastic stuff! Definitely approved.
Just one thing: the Kentaiki are the old warriors who died out. They are now known as the Kenraiton, so Sun isn't a Kentaiki, but a Kenraiton, if that makes sense.
Great CS, I really want to see what you'll make out of this character.

**Added note: I am going to edit this and fix some syntax problems. In the mean time, sorry!**

I took some liberty for my race and religion. I don’t think it meddles much with your plan as it is mostly conspiracy and charlatanism disguised, for the religion. For the race, it is really only about the birth of the offspring in this specific family line of Elves.

    NAME: Excidius Arel

ALIAS: “Voice of the Life-Bringer” or simply “The Voice”

    DoB: February 17th

    GENDER: Male

    HEIGHT: 6’4”

    WEIGHT: 180 lbs

    ETHNICITY:
Majdalian High Elvish Nobility, from the South-West peninsula territory, long before the Empire was formed.

    AGE:
    286 years old.

    HAIR: Straight, Silvery Grey

EYES: Violet with gold smoky wisps.

BODY MARKINGS: Flawless and untouched pearl white skin.

    BUILD/APPEARANCE:
Tall, lean yet muscular and infinitely graceful, Excidius keeps his perfectly straight silver hair loose, save a small braid above each ear that meet at back of his head to become one. His face is amongst the fairest in his line - let alone the land. His mesmerizing gold and violet eyes, his perfectly masculine yet delicate bone structure - a not quite pointed chin at the end of a semi wide jaw below high cheek bones, his soft, full and naturally rosy lips, pearl white skin and finally his pointed ears all contribute in making Excidius almost Angelic in appearance.

    CLOTHING:
Long white robes trimmed with intricate black and gold details, long enough to hide his white and gold knee-high boots. Excidius also wears a violet stole that shimmers rich golden brass highlights during movement, making it look like it perpetually floats behind his neck and down his front side. When the long wide sleeves of the robes slip back, you can see his perfect pearl white hands bearing his half inch long point nails, painted gold.

PERSONALITY: There is a certain maliciousness to Excidius no one perceives. His line of Elves do not see reality in only the present. Their sight is timeless: past, present and future converge into a single big picture in which they navigate their decisions. He will do what he must to fulfill what he believes is his destiny. Manipulation and secrecy run through his blood and rest in his bones. The Voice will, however, never ever compromise his position and social rank. So, he remains benevolent and kind to the public eye. Excidius is unwaveringly calm and serene.

    LIKES:
As all Arels before him Excidius enjoys power, influence and pretty things. He was a pampered child and prefers to remain as such.

    DISLIKES:
People on which his Word Magic does not operate properly, Aristocrats and Nobles. While Excidius revels in his wealth and somewhat snobbism, he can not abide those of his rank, hating them in silence and smile to their face.

    FEARS:
His perpetual state of calm and grace leave no room for fears. His beyond-temporal Sight also quells any doubts. The one blemish on his perfect mind frame is being known as a charlatan. But the thought still does not upset him.

    WEAKNESSES:
Excidius, as a Magi and Noble Elf is not very proficient in physical combat. Diplomacy, cunning and magic are his weapons. If a sword made its way through his defenses, his perfect skin would be easy to cut.

STRENGTHS: Diplomacy, strategizing, manipulation... and Magic. His plan is to develop his powers to a point where his defenses are unbreakable. Moderate hand-to-hand combat training.

ITEMS: He owns very little outside of his clothes, having relinquished just about everything to the Emperor as part of the deal. He does, however, possess colored glass stones representing stars and planets. He uses them to clear his Sight when the future is unclear.

    ABILITIES (Skills):
Exceptional proficiency for Word Magic, minor abilities in other spheres of Spiritual Magic. He is developing his potential for Physical Magic, but it is nothing of particular use as of yet. He has some fortune telling skill.

Another great CS. I would have rejected it due to the presence of Full Blooded Elves, and not just that, High Elves, but seeing as it's written so well, I'll let you get away with it. But remember, other than this family the rest of Majdal is either half elven/dwarven or human, humans making up at least 95%

As for magic, he seems very powerful, but I'm willing to let it slide. Before that, I want to get an overview of just how much magic he has, so just fill this up and add it to the CS:

    Type of Magic

Max of Two, if the CS is exceptionally good, a Max of Three (I think your char will have more than this Satheon, so ignore it for the moment)
E.g S/He has power over Physical Magic and has mastered Brown Magic so far (Brown magic is one) he also has some training in Spiritual magic and is adequate/mastering/mastered Soul Magic (Soul Magic is the second)

    MAGICAL Talent

Pick one of the highlighted in Red

(High: they are naturally able to sense and use magic very well, even if they have never trained properly.
Medium: they can naturally sense and use magic to an extent, even though they are unable to cast anything of too high a level without further training.
Low: they find it very difficult to sense and cast magic, and even after years of training, they will not be as magically able as someone who’s trained and is of a higher talent):

    MAGICAL Ability

One of the highlighted in Red

(High: they have trained for a very long time to bring their magic under their control, and have mastered much from training and experience. Able to cast quite difficult spells with a decent level of control.
Medium: they have trained a bit, and have gotten the gist of how to summon magic to them and form it into the general shapes and forms they want, however their control isn’t great enough for them to cast difficult spells well
Low: they have barely trained, and their magical power (if they have any) is wild and difficult to tame, making casting any spell a dangerous process):

Other than that small addition, I think you're approved! Great CS, great character, I look forward to seeing what this little ancient elf will do ;D

Done! I'm happy you like the character, I am very excited about him. Rest assured, I enjoy playing on a character's weaknesses/difficulties, so Excidius will be hindered as often as can be

I hope the format I did the magical abilities in does not bother you, I thought it might be clearer given his particular case.

Oh no, it's fine, whatever suits you suits me ;D
Yes, that's acceptable, not as powerful as I was thinking, but with very high potential. If you play it right, he can quite possibly become an Arch'Magae, although he's got quite the sinister side to him. Love it, can't wait to see him in action.
