Statistics
There are five primary statistics for each character. These are: Strength (STR), Dexterity (DEX), Knowledge (KNO), Willpower (WIL), and Luck (LCK). Each one helps determine your ability and rate of success in your adventures throughout the unexplored wilderness of Daela. Each statistic is measured on a scale of 1 to 50, with 1 being the level of a newborn infant and 50 being peak physical condition on an almost superhuman scale.
Strength is your muscular condition, how physically fit you are, as well as your ability to withstand physical pain and fatigue. It determines how powerful your physical attacks are, and how much gear you can carry.
Dexterity is your body's flexibility and reaction speed. It determines how agile you are in combat, how easily you avoid attacks, as well as many stealth-oriented maneuvers.
Knowledge is the summation of your experience and learning throughout your lifetime. In addition to helping you learn new skills quickly, and obtain information more easily, it also determines your spellcasting ability in combination with Willpower.
Willpower is your determination and focus. It determines how easily distracted you can be, as well as your capacity for casting spells and cantrips.
Luck is just that, how lucky you are. An exceptionally lucky individual finds more gold while hunting, as well as having beneficial encounters more often.
Each stat starts out at 20, the average for a human male. A beginning character receives 25 points to distribute among these statistics as they see fit.
