[Vena Sera IV]

"No, I don't usually travel. I tend to stay near my home or close enough to it." Takeshi admitted, watching as a policeman's cruiser went flying down the street past them. Faintly distracted for a moment as he wondered where it was going, he came back to the matter at hand and looked down at Shu thoughtfully, surprised the boy had been so well traveled. "I'm surprised kid, didn't think you'd move around so much. Don't plan on running around like that though during training, I'm not going to go chasing you down everytime you decide to wander off. No coming back to town on your own either, go it? Heaven only knows what you'd be able to do if you wandered in here by yourself." Where would this kid even sleep? He had one single bed, so the sofa would have to do. Probably much more comfortable than whatever it was he slept on in the jungle, Takeshi doubted he would complain much. The biggest thing he figured now would be getting food for the two of them, thank goodness for the tournament winnings, otherwise they'd be at a loss. Another two cruisers speeding by caught his attention again, now he was truly interested, smirking a bit. Let's see what that is all about..." he muttered, grinning before sprinting off towards the vehicles, moving slow enough to follow and not over take them.

Shu was pretty happy right now, his hunger barely subsiding as he pulled out the food from his shirt and happily ate it as if he was a thief enjoying a good apple. For a moment, he looked a little sad when Takeshi said he'd not travelled, but was quick to shrug it off when Takeshi didn't treat it like one either. With the police cruiser flying up the road, Shu could only stare at it in fascination before he was quickly distracted again from Takeshi. He was really taking in a lot that Takeshi was telling him, luckily, but probably because Takeshi was going to be his acting teacher too. He really did love learning, it was interesting how quickly he picked up on human speech too considering he had been living in the wilderness most of his life; despite having no idea how he ended up there, he felt pretty happy with his origins and happy enough to move forward all the time. Almost finishing off his 'stolen' stash of food, giving a quick nod to Takeshi, the speed at which the other vehicle moved at caused him to become distracted once more. There was definitely something strange going on, he had never seen such things and the flashing lights were very interesting too. Giggling for only a second, he soon found himself running after Takeshi while still stuffing his gob full of food; despite the obvious distraction and slowdown that comes with eating on the run, Shu was able to keep up with Takeshi with no problem at all.

Takeshi slowly came to a halt as they caught up to the cruisers, looking at the scene in surprise as they saw several officers, weapons drawn outside of a store. He put an arm out to the side to halt Shu, looking at him warningly before shaking his head. "Don't do anything kid, let the cops handle this." he warned, glancing over at the store curiously. The front was for the most part large windows, it was easy to see inside. Wouldn't you know, none other than Boulder, the man Takeshi had beaten earlier, and apparently some of his thugs had held up the store, no doubt to make up for lost winnings. Smirking, Takeshi got an idea, not bothering to look back at Shu as he spoke. "On second thought... Go around the back of the building Shu, I have an idea." The older Saiyan made his way over to the line of bystanders, pushing through to the officers at the front. One of them tried to direct Takeshi back, to which he simply shoved the man out of the way, going out to the front of the armed officers with a grin. "You stupid oaf! You're robbing a store now?" he called out, trying to get the men's attention.

Boulder was the first to look up, looking at the boy angrily before shaking his head a bit and brandishing a gun as if to say "Don't try it." To his left and right were four other armed men, all wearing bulletproof vests. It seemed like they had hostages too, a man and a women could be seen tied up near the counter, no doubt the owners of the store. They seemed to have the place shut down tight, pretty sure of themselves no doubt. Of course, they didn't know how they would deal with two Saiyans no doubt, which meant they were in for a nasty surprise.

Shu had nearly ran right into Takeshi's arm if he wasn't looking where he was going, probably not quite the thing you'd want happening when you're going at quite a high speed. Feeling confused for a moment, he had to have a quick look around before he could tell what was going on. The whole scene confused him, he hadn't seen humans act like this before and it appeared as if they were all in a bit of a panic about it too. Bouncing on the spot, he quickly looked to Takeshi when he began speaking before back to the scene in front of him. It was so strange, but whatever they were doing it was probably not a good thing, "Oooohhhh, okay! Sounds like an idea, okay", he said sounding pretty enthusiastic as he suddenly ran around the building at some speed. He was very light on his feet, especially when he wasn't carrying so much food. Jumping around to the back, he had no idea what he was even supposed to do except go in this particular direction. He was obedient enough, but whether those men would want to hurt him too after being named the 'World's Strongest' was something he couldn't quite figure out.

Takeshi watched Shu run around behind the building, smirking as the boy got into place. Not intimidated by the morons with the pea shooters, he started to walk towards the store. Even if they shot at him, he'd probably be able to avoid the bullets or answer back with an energy blast. So what if he damaged the store? The store owners would probably be grateful with or without some shattered windows, so it was indifferent to him. Two of the men raised their weapons on Boulder's orders, ready to fire at the oncoming Saiyan. That was until he began to charge an energy blast in the palm of his hand, causing the men to hesitate and look at eachother confused then to their boss who only looked on bewildered. Idiots, no idea what this is...? he called out, growing the orb in size. In truth he didn't plan to use it, the ball was only meant for a distraction. "Hey Shu? Why not say hello to our friends? They're going to hurt innocent people."

Boulder visibly paled a bit, realizing that both of the strange boys were here now. In a moment of panic he grabbed the woman of the group, holding her firmly with a pistol to her head, inciting frightened whimpers from her. "Y-You freaks stay back! I've got a hostage, I'll shoot her!" he shouted, backing up against the wall nervously. He'd already been cheated out of his money once today by these kids, he'd be damned if he let it happen again.

Shu was in position, but when the man suddenly grabbed the woman he felt a moment of panic when she was now the hostage of the man who obviously couldn't handle being one. It was strangely worrying, he knew what a gun was and knew they could hurt people that weren't him quite a lot. Looking to Takeshi for some help from around the building, he soon figured that he should stay low and keep hiding if it was going to give him a chance at keeping the girl alive, a typical instinct that would had often been seen in the wild. He crouched down low on his hands and feet, watching him carefully as if ready to pounce on him if he looked like he was going to drop the gun down even further. Despite being quite the fighter and bragging about how many people he had defeated, he got quite soft and cautious when somebody else was involved and could possibly get hurt in the process, "...Do I still say hello to them? I don't think they're my friends, though..."

Takeshi near slammed his head into the nearby telephone pole in frustration, once again Shu was somehow totally oblivious to the way he spoke. Rolling his eyes a bit he sighed, simply walking into the store slowly, ignoring the weapons being pointed at him when he stopped in the doorway. Shu was in the room, hidden but here, which was good. Hopefully now he would do something, there was no way Takeshi could get the girl safe without possibly harming her. He couldn't care less about her honestly, but he wasn't looking to have the police on his tail. "I'll say it one more time you fracking oaf, let her go." he warned, getting clearly frustrated with the situation. How he would love to simply knock Boulder out, but there would be too much collateral with that approach. Ever thinking, he glanced at the two closest armed guards, smirking as an idea came to mind, If Shu got Boulder, he'd go for the grunts, they'd be too surprised to do much about him by that point. "If not... Hey Shu? Want a turn to beat Boulder?"

Boulder was visibly sweating now, not looking for a murder charge he wasn't about to shoot the woman, certainly not two kids, no matter how freaky they were. But he had an image to keep in front of his men, he'd have to play it down. "That little runt ain't even here, you're all alone kid." the large man retorted with a toothy grin. He began to move towards the rear exit with his men following suit, not knowing that Shu was directly in their path. He figured their best bet now was get out the back and make a break for it, no way was he going to jail. "Just stay where you are kid, and this lady won't get so much as a scratch." They'd bump into Shu in a second, Takeshi only hoped the kid would do something about it.

Shu didn't like guns, they were noisy and scary for one thing and everything else about them just screamed violence. He was pretty stuck, he didn't know what he was supposed to do when it was a threat to another person who was completely innocent. Panicking for a moment, he watched as the guy come ever closer, his nervous disposition catching up to him quickly; however, that moment lasted only a short time and almost immediately before they could notice him, Shu was on the attack. He jumped right up the guy's back, grabbing the gun with his tail easily before kicking the man's face in a vicious double kick to which he used to spring away from the man. He was fairly quickly, even more so than the force of his attack as he landed on the floor in front of the man and immediately ran at the man, grabbing onto his falling leg and suddenly tossed him right over himself and onto the other side, slamming him into the floor. The attack seemed overly vicious for somebody like Shu, then again it was the gun and the hostage situation that had frightened him and switched on some instinct that could only be seen in a human.

Takeshi smirked smuggly as he watched Shu toss around the far larger Boulder like a rag doll, once again the oaf had underestimated them. The other four men were in a state of shock as they watched their massive leader being thrown about, giving him plenty of time to act. Takeshi slipped over to the two nearest gunmen, punching one into the nearest cabinets before simply smacking the other, sending the man tossing across the room. The remaining two had lifted their guns to fire, but were immediately denied as he hit both weapons with a small energy blast, blowing them away and breaking the fragile weapons in two. He'd have given pursuit, but the two goons ran out the front door, immediately giving themselves over to the police, preferrable to being thrashed by two Saiyans no doubt. A satisfied smirk crossed his lips as he watched the two store owners hurry out with an officer, glancing down at a now unconscious Boulder. "Good job kid, though maybe we should kill him just to be sure?" Grinning he charged up a small blast in the palm of his hand, glancing at the younger Saiyan amused. "Back up kid, might be messy."

Shu stared at the man for a moment, letting out a sigh when he realised the woman was no longer in danger. Giving a quick look at Takeshi as he came in to do some day saving for whatever reason since the men no longer appeared to be much of a threat anymore. It was strange to have to do something like this, he hadn't needed to help someone to this extent and was quicker to react before a gun was held at another person because of his arrival. Staring at the men for a moment as they received a beatdown he barely looked like he cared about. He couldn't help but gasp when Takeshi lay up the offer to outright kill him with a blast of energy, "No!! Don't touch him!" he shouted, suddenly tackling Takeshi with a hell of a lot of force behind it, "You're just as bad as they are!!"
