"Oh come on, things will be fine." Takeshi answered back, smiling at his brother as he flew alongside him. Yumi may not want him anywhere near the monkey-boy, but already Shu seemed to have forgiven his sibling. "That Krom jerk has Viral, right? We can beat him no problem, and that'll be that. We can take him home and that'll be the end of this whole mess." Looking at things now, he realized they wouldn't get to meet their mother just yet, and that was fine by him. He was saddened by the fact, but having everyone brought back and seeing their friend brought home safely were of far greater concern. Besides, there was nothing stopping them from gathering the Dragonballs next year and making another wish. Their mother, wherever she was, could wait another year. Dead or alive, they would meet the woman eventually. Passing another glance to Shu, Takeshi waved a bit before racing ahead, laughing happily as he overtook Yumi and continued down along the road.

Yumi continued to take her own pace in flight, not bothering to try speeding up as Takeshi sped past her. Rather, she slowed down to come up alongside Shu, looking at the boy kindly as she decided to keep pace with him instead. "Your brother is right, you don't have to worry. You two might have to fight one last time, but you can do it, I know you can. Then, after you win, we'll all go back to the city and get smoothies and food, all you can eat. My treat, okay?" Her optimism didn't seem to be too contagious, and she couldn't understand why Shu was being so pessimistic about the situation. She knew full well that things could go badly, there was always that potential. If you focused on the negatives though, nothing would ever get done. They could have lost to every keeper they came across, but they beat those odds, even going as far to overcome their greatest fears. They had beaten the Saiyan and his goons not once, but twice now. The third time would be the last, and then things might get back to normal. Or, at least, as normal as it got having three alien boys and a Beastman as your friends. It might be an odd group, but she wouldn't trade her friends or the experiences she'd had for the world.

Vegeta left the car on the side of the road, stowing the keys away in the glove compartment before smiling amused as he watched the others fly ahead. As much as he would like to look on the bright side of things, he shared the impending sense of dread that Shu had voiced. Something just didn't feel... Right. They'd beaten back the Saiyans, despite having lost Viral as a prisoner in the process. Now, there were no more invaders coming to earth, and they were well on their way to getting Viral back. Why would the Saiyan king give up so easily? He'd thought the two boys were his target, and Viral was only a minor bonus if anything. It was too convenient that they were being left to their devices now, something had to be coming. Casting his doubt aside for the moment, as it did no good to ponder it, Vegeta took off into the air after his friends, coming up alongside Shu and Yumi silently. He hoped they would be ready for whatever was coming their way, though it seemed like the worst had yet to begun.

Geoffrey's Temple, All 7 Dragonballs collected
--------------------------------------------

"All seven... I only wish we had collected them under better pretenses..." Vegeta muttered, walking down the stone steps with the full satchel in hand. It had taken them until nearly dusk, but the group had managed to gather the final two and were finally going to make their move. Geoffrey accompanied the group as they went down to the village at the base of the mountain in order to summon Shenron. The Saiyan had never done this before in his life, as he was sure none of the others had either. Luckily though, he knew the necessary words, not that it seemed to be particularly hard to call upon the mystic being anyways.

"Who cares what we've got them for? Let's just get this underway, I'm ready to go give that damn Saiyan a piece of my mind." Takeshi cracked his knuckles in anticipation, smiling as he thought of pummeling that snide jerk into the dirt. Between him and Shu, there wasn't a chance in hell that Krom could get away this time. They'd deal with the guy and have Viral home within a day as far as he was concerned. How they would get back to Earth... He hadn't considered that yet really, but one thing at a time. Glancing over to Yumi, he frowned seeing a worried look on her face, giving her a questioning expression for an answer.

Yumi returned Takeshi's glance, smiling halfheartedly before letting a sad sigh go. "I don't want any of us to get hurt again is all. I'm sure between the four of us, we can beat that guy and save Viral, but... He's still strong, probably still stronger than all of us. Someone is going to be injured, or possibly worse. It won't mean much when we save him if someone doesn't make it, or gets really hurt..." Her thoughts went to Shu from before, seeing him beaten and bloodied. The thought of that happening again, to anyone, was terrifying. Maybe they could get lucky and no one would be injured. Maybe, by some slight miracle, they would be fortunate enough to not even have to fight. That Saiyan could hand Viral over if he was faced with overwhelming odds. It didn't seem likely at all, but one could hope, she supposed.
