Arrow Super Natural/Magical Camp (Social Roleplay)

[Welcome, do read the entire document before closing.]

As a note ahead of time, I reserve the right to reject an offer to CO-host this style of RP with myself, however, naturally, you have the right to create your own roleplay of the like. Though I do hope this is not the case.

    [High Free / Mid Casual]
This isn't as Daunting as it seems! READ ON

Hello, I'm [Plaything] and as the title reads, and as you are likely here to find, I am interested in developing a Supernatural/Magical Roleplay, slow paced preferred, no significant plot (bear with me), consider it a 'Slice of Life' but with well, more interesting aspects to our characters. Now in contrast I should elaborate that this is not a SCHOOL, rather, a vacation style camping (Cabin), in the woods by the lake style roleplay. Which actually I'm not certain has been done here before. Fun stuff, no?

I'm not currently with enough time in 'Real life' to host one of these myself, but would be strongly interested in working with someone else as CO-GM's if I could.

A minor list of things I'd have in mind to start:
    • All Characters must have at least a humanoid form which they are in use of for the majority of the time.
    • A simple Grounds Map would be required.
    • Limitations on character type / powers etc, to be very... well to say that things would be low-key in comparison to the Earth-shattering mechanics of other such roleplays. This is to maintain a more immersible environment.
    • A sample of writing with each CS, and the warning before hand one can be turned away simply for not possessing a writing style compatible with the interest of the roleplay. I realize this may seem harsh, but you probably understand my reasoning if you've read this far.
    • High Free to Medium casual writing style, etc.

On that note, I have a basic character for myself in mind already and a basic idea of the starter that being: One person invited a few choice people to their cabin, and a few choice people were invited indirectly from there, a total of about seven to ten at best.

The roleplay would be social and immerse rather than exuberant, based mostly on interactions and day to day goings on, time would be managed by GM's or with expressed permission. Remember, it's a vacation your character would choice fully accept invitation. Also, each character would have to know at least one other person in the RP.

--- Anyone interested in helping run this with me, or interested in joining in?
    I do hope you are.~

Thank you, I'm glad you're here. I love your name by the way.~
If you have any questions or suggestions feel free (or message me).

This was going to be in high casual / low advanced, but again, I don't have a lot of time for it.

I'm interested, but with a question: what are you thinking for post size? I personally believe in quality over quantity, especially in an RP labeled high free/mid casual, buuuut you're GM, of course ^.^

I think a minimum of a single, well devised paragraph is fair, with a maximum of two. This is mostly due, again, to time constraints on my part as to save reading time as well as reduce the number of times others are cutoff whilst writing a post.

Also I like your Icon image, that anime was fantastic.~

I might be pleased to have you among us, it's a possibility, quite a gamble really.

I would be interested, but would you clarifying exactly what you want with the writing sample? I haven't been on here for a while and I don't remember ever running into anything like that in my previous experiences on the forums.

I really like the idea of limiting the powers too, it means you have to get creative to use them effectively.

In the OOC you will likely be either posed with a sample post to respond to in your own way for your CS or you can do the same process via private messaging, I do this typically to keep writers within the same rough skill level range and to keep a general feel to the tone of the roleplay. As there tends to be a problem with consistency when two writing styles are vastly separated:

    Ex:
Player 1: The sky was black and the air was cold, a chill running through her very bones with every step and a pin of fear etching into the gooseflesh upon her arms and legs alike, she still did linger here in the shadows, curious of the eyes that followed her path. Walking in the silence, tracing the worn branches as they reached out fruitlessly to tear at her gown, or perhaps, to be rescued by a passing stranger, to be released from their long struggle with a curse that turned them from the human visage.

Player 2: There was a rainbw in the dark somehow and Kalli absorbed it and grew wings and could fly as far and fast as she wanted and she could carre anything of any weit in her anti-gravity backpack.

--- Not to offend anyone, different strokes for different folks, so to say.

I should note that the examples presented are not in alinement with the overall feel of the actual RP, which would be decidedly less dark in preference unless one were to venture out at night.
