I don't see how you're being nice to Nat by telling him that you pity him. Like I said, that's condescending and rude. Far from nice.

Also, the way you have your arms reaching out to him telling him you'd like to accept him into your little social group... That's not really nice either. It's an illusion of niceness, and perhaps that could very well be your intention, but the way I'm seeing it is that you think you are better than him. That everything will be better if he'll just accept your offer and play with the rest of you kids in a way you see fit.
