My dad dated a girl in college who was making plans for their marriage, how many babies they would have, where they would live, etc.
Prior to agreeing to be in this relationship, he told he girl "I'm fine with being in this with you but if Tracey comes back to town, I'm going to marry her." The girl said okay.
Tracey came back to town and is now my mom.
