So unbelievably down for this!
A story situated in the American South after the fall of world governments in light of an unexplained 'Zombie' apocalypse. Your character will have lost everything and everyone dear to them--and likely more than life. Whatever the bitter tale your character eventually fell in with a like minded group of survivors that weren't going to sit around and spoil in the sun. People that weren't just going to waste away, waiting for the last bite.
The group's journey began in a search for supplies and went through the deadly threats of both zombie horde and even more dangerous other survivors. Though arduous and long as the group's journey was they would eventually reach the headquarters for NecroGeni, the pharmaceutical company reportedly behind the 'outbreak' that draw the curtains down on the world, in suburban Houston.
Hot and humid or cold and grey, the city has had large tracks of it's petro-chemical processing plants fortified and turned into a NecroGeni citadel. The Doctors and Bio-chemists of NecroGeni present your hardened group with a shocking truth: there is a cure for the man made 'infestation' that has all but stopped the world. There is hope for the world.
A hope that is far more distant than before. A survivor group known only for killing other human survivors, a group known only by their red spraypaint tags of 'Redrum' has interfered. Infamous and feared throughout the South, Redrum has abducted the NecroGeni scientist who created the miracle cure and the very samples of the cure itself.
The scientists of NecroGeni propose a plan; NecroGeni will 'modify' each survivor to make them much more resistant to the infestation than a normal survivor. In return, the group of survivors will receive arms and armaments and sent off to return the samples and thwart Redrum's attempt to keep the world lost in undead darkness.
Each player assumes the role of one of the survivors. Small group that's been a while together taking on a task too big for any one of them, and a task far too important to fail at. Between zombies, the mysterious murderous members of Redrum, and the secrets of mechanisms hidden from all--there will be plenty and much more to push these survivors towards the brink.
