Hitler waiting for spring to move into Russia might have drastically changed the outcome in the east. Simply build tanks and continue to bomb the Brits for 6 months... As for the Japanese, any number of things could have gone wrong before the atomic bombs got dropped. A lucky torpedo strike and only one nuke makes it to Japan. Couple that with a simple misfire and no atomic bomb is detonated on Japanese soil. And they have one to look at, and a well established (if brutal) research arm in China.

Actually, one could say that the Japanese only surrendered because the Soviets invaded Manchuria, which was just a pre-game look to the arse-kicking they were going to receive when the Soviets invaded mainland Japan.

Regardless, I'd say the British Empire one would be more prevalent now. How about we're a squad of British soldiers? I'd hate to have this be 'Oh! Let's take down the big evil Empire' one.

To gain all, we must risk all.

That one doesn't appeal to me too much, but I won't begrudge you if you can get interest. I'd have no problem overseeing or helping you oversee the game without playing in it. I actually have another alt. history idea in mind that's radically different and based on something pre-existing

I don't know if you've heard of the comic book series Image is putting out called The Manhattan Projects, but it would be an RPG based off of that.

    Here's a brief synopsis:

"What if the research and development department created to produce the first atomic bomb was a front for a series of other, more unusual, programs? What if the union of a generation's brightest minds was not a signal for optimism, but foreboding? What if everything... went wrong?"

Pretty much, it's one of the craziest comics I've read in years. You have J. Robert Oppenheimer as a cannibalistic genius with hundreds of multiple personalities, Albert Einstein is actually the real Einstein's evil self from an alternate universe, Enrico Fermi is a space alien, and Werner von Braun has a massive robot arm. In short, it's wildly divergent from history in a lot of places, but it has tons of little nods and ins to actual history.

Oh and FDR's brain was turned into a super computer and went rogue, and Harry S. Truman is a crazy freemason who has orgies in the Oval Office.

    Uh.

Do you mind if I could just say "lolno" because it's really out there. Not really alternate history but more of a weird super-hero thing.

To gain all, we must risk all.

Yeah, that's fine, I understand it's not quite up everybody's alley... but it should be, dammit!

xD. I was thinking like alt. history like, 'If Rome never took on Christianity' or 'If the Pacific Fleet was lost at Pearl Harbour.'

To gain all, we must risk all.

Like I said, if you want to try and do your own thing with a more stricter alt-history, go ahead. I'll fully support it. I think I'm going to work further on my Manhattan Projects pitch and do it in another interest check.
