-Prologue-

The dark-haired girl wiped sweat from her forehead, laden with fatigue that enveloped her body in a dark mist. The moon shone brightly in the deep cyan sky, lighting up the night forest with light that sparkled against the wetness that just began to weigh upon the foliage. A light breeze flew past her, sending the autumn leaves in a spiraling descend, as if falling from the heavens itself.

Her bright blue eyes cautiously gazed around the small grotto of trees, the great oaks and fair birches towering over her small, fragile frame. Pulling a ringlet of hair behind her ear, she knelt down into the soft grass, shakily pressing a hand to the warm earth. She sucked in a warm breath, and then breathed it out, a frosty puff of air escaping her lips as she rolled onto her back, a sigh of relief escaping from the grasps of her pain-laden eyes.

A dark red liquid stained the grass, flowing from her side. She tugged at the cloth around it, twisting it in several different ways. Yet, a strange calmness consumed her. Still, one eerie thought remained: Am I going to die?

One free hand maneuvered it's way to her neck, tugging on a silver necklace. With a loud snap, she held the amethyst charm in her hand, her grip tightening with every ache and groan of her body. Her vision faded.. This had happened before. She had seen her life pass before her, in a white mist.

But this time, it was black.

-End of Prologue-

Author's Notes: So I have nothing to do now. I refuse to go onto MK for a while, so I'm posting a story here. I've just finished writing this, maybe a few minutes ago. I didn't realize I could access the RPGuild via computer (Norton parental controls), but apparently, I can. I'll try to post something every other day to every week. I have testing coming up, so I won't be frequent. And, it would be nice of you guys to critique this too. I'm a new writer, and I don't know all the tips and tricks that make the media go 'round (heh).
