well, i'll be completely honest, this rp was actually spawned from an idea i had for a video game version of this. same exact premise, only the player character would chose which gender town guard he would play as (the adventurer wasn't originally part of this) and then through some light moral choices and cut-scenes set events in motion that would decide who survived the attack on his city with, those who would would be his party members for teh duration of the gameplay. The classes are based on all the potential party members you could have in the game, and these characters were expressed designed to NOT get along well together for the most part. I chose to keep the overlying traits of their personalities into these classes so as to keep the air of friction between teammates and decided to restrict gender choices to those character that it wouldn't make sense to have otherwise (like the misogynist thief needing to be a man, or the man-hating huntress needing to be a woman). or to people who, by the rules of that society, could not be that class if they were their opposite gender (like the sisters of the peace all being women, or imperial knights being men).
also, i like to reinforce what was stated before. Dark is not evil and Light is not good. Rather, think of someone who is 'dark' as having a more 'negative' personality, stern, block headed, pessimistic, deceitful, ect. while soemoene who is light typically has more 'positive' personality traits. It's entirely possible to be Lawful Light and still be evil, same as you can be chaotic dark and still do good acts. I purposely avoided the 'good' and 'evil' terminology so as to not make people feel forced into playing the role of hero or villain
