Mimi sat patiently by the phone in the break room, hoping "Champion Iris" would call her to interview her about her "success".

Kelly nods to Jordi, one of the interns, behind her so that he begins playing the themesong to Jubilife TV, the leading TV program for Trainer news. Kelly takes a deep breath and changes her voice to mimic the real Champion Iris' accent, "Hi there....Mi..mi? Mimi? From Trainer Weekly magazine? This is Iris from Jubilife TV! How are you doing today?!"

[Jactance]

The young writer grabs the phone and calmly calls to the person on the line.
"H-hello?"
"Hi there....Mi..mi? Mimi? From Trainer Weekly magazine? This is Iris from Jubilife TV! How are you doing today?!"

Unaware that the voice is imitated by her arch nemesis, Mimi squeals off the phone than back on, replying "It's great. I was just about to wrap up my shift!"
Which was a complete bullcrap.

[Chahiro]

"Well we appreciate you taking your time to talk to us. Can you tell us a little about what your magazine does? And what is your job in the whole process?"

[Jactance]

"Well~" Mimi began to talk as her gengar glanced at her suspiciously from the shadow behind the vending machine.
Mimi continued to praise her work, and commented negatively of some of her co-workers, especially trashing on Kelly and Jordi.
"But Kelly's more like a marrylin monroe on steroids. She actually she's all that! There's no other way to explain that nasty attitude toward me."
"Jordi? Ah, that intern. That kid think he's cute cuz he got his own pokemon-- And he's a extreme doormat too..."
"Ashley? Ooh, don't get me started with her--"

Kelly scoffed so hard she had to start fake coughing to cover it up. "Is that so? Well, what do you have to say about the reports of libel and plagiarism? We have an Officer Jenny here from the Federal Communications Commission that says your magazine has had many reports of libel against nation leaders as well as Pokemon Champions, including myself." Ashley, recognizing that she was meant to play the official, gave herself a more urban accent and replied, "Yes, ma'am. Many complaints have come in. I hear there are quite a few of lawsuits coming up and I can't wait to serve those warrants. Nothing like warrants in the mornin', ma'am."
