Origin Info/Details:
Professor Alan Thaddeus Palmer was working on a device he called the Challenger Technology for a wealthy man named Cyrus Alexander, that he had hoped would wind up as a breakthrough in the field of time travel. Obviously, it blew up in his face. The accident gave him the ability to alter the way time affects him, allowing him to accelerate his perception and reflexes to the point that time seemingly stands still. He is also able to personally travel through time, though any trip away from his period of origin is highly taxing and, without extreme concentration on his part, inexact.
After the accident, he was lost in time for a while, and then discovered that Alexander had betrayed him and expected him to die in the explosion. Upon finding his was back to his own time, he used his newfound abilities to study hard and gained many more doctorates in various fields of study, essentially making him one of the, if not, THE smartest man in the world. He has since written hundreds of books and invented many profitable devices, which has kept him fairly well-to-do (though he donates much of the proceeds to charity). Between spending time with his daughter and teaching a class at the local university, he patrols the world for any sort of temporal or transdimensional disturbances as the hero dubbed “Professor Quick” by the media.
Hero Type (Select one): Speedster/Gray Matter (Super-smart characters)
Power Level (Select one below): 3. World Level or 4. Cosmic Level
Powers (Be Specific): The accident gave him the ability to alter the way time affects him, allowing him to accelerate his perception and reflexes to the point that time seemingly stands still. He is also able to personally travel through time, though any trip away from his period of origin is highly taxing and, without extreme concentration on his part, inexact. He is also extremely educated and considered the smartest man in the world. (The accident has also prevented him from aging in any way, rendering him nearly immortal, though he can be killed. The Professor doesn't know this yet.)

Even with a weakness, a Game Master may rule it as a Level 3 or 4 character): He is unable to slow himself down slower than 5x normal human awareness and reflexes. He's also physically a normal human, and can be hurt, get sick, and the like. His pacifism and good nature can also be exploited.

Audrey Palmer, Alan’s 16 year old daughter, is his only family. He also teaches a class at a local university.
What can you bring to the RPG?: The bombastic awesomeness that is SuperFerret, and an old school style of superheroic super-scientist in the same vein as Mr. Fantastic, the Barry Allen Flash, The Doctor and the Ghostbusters.
Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: I did above, did I not?
Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):
The classroom is full of quiet murmurs. Fifteen minutes from now, the class, officially dubbed “Applied Quantum Metaphysics 101”, would begin. The students, roughly a dozen in all, were all handpicked for the class by the lecturer, a Professor Alan T. Palmer, and all without their knowledge of either the class’s existence or what exactly it would teach them. Furthering confusion, not a single student in the class shares a major with any of the others, each comes from a different field of study, most being from the sciences, but others, like Janine Wright (World History) and Alex Lye (Literature) are from fields that did not seem to fit whatever “Applied Quantum Metaphysics” is.
Most of the murmuring is about the Professor himself. A few of the students recall hearing his name thrown around six months prior, after a late night experiment resulted in an explosion and destroyed one of Lost Haven University’s most advanced labs (and much of the floor it was located on). Rumors are traded and the speculation has the Professor playing many roles. “Mad scientist” says some. “Terrorist” says others. Still others claim he was just foolish and clumsy (and lucky to be alive), and one student, Rodney Barker (Paleontology), said he’d become one of the many superheroes that have been popping up lately. (Rodney had also joked that the class sounded like it should be called “Science Fiction 101”.)
Just as the murmuring becomes louder, it stops suddenly. One by one, each and every student realized that their surrounding just changed abruptly. For one, upon each desk, a small stack of papers sits where an instant ago, it didn’t. The top page reads “Course Syllabus” and goes on to list just that. The students then notice a tall, thin man wearing a lab coat over a sweatervest and khakis leaning against the blackboard with his arms crossed and a wry smile on his lips. The name “Professor Palmer” is scrawled on the board behind him.
“Do I have everyone’s attention?” the man asks. The class is too stunned to answer. “Good. Let’s begin.”

Is this RP still taking openings?
I really like how this is set up and I am quite interested in joining. I've got plenty of ideas too. I also have a lot of irons in the fire too, so I'm wondering what the expected post rate is going to be for this RP?
Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds talk about people.
Imagination is the preview of life's coming attractions.
Chance favors the prepared mind.
I can post with high quality many times a day, but it also depends on my motivation. If posting expected to be less than once per week, I know that I can loose interest very quickly, which is why I ask... post quality or not.

Pretty much.
The surest way to see a quicker game is interaction, it shortens up the game in terms of length of posts but makes it more rapid fire.
Speaking of which, I'll have a post up in the next day or so.
