Harada saw him before Linda, his female companion, did. It was hard to miss the jovial yet nervous way a man carries himself when he's under pressure. As a man who had embarked on this new financial venture, he did have some self-inflicted anxiety to work through. The fact Harada was staring him down intensely did little to help calm him, but Harada often did so to people he was attempting to measure up. So when the man cut his niceties short and strode over to the pair, it did not surprise Harada.
"You must be the Scott, Scott Hunter? What a marvelous place you've made this!" spoke Linda before Harada could utter a greeting. He settled for a friendly handshake before he ventured forth his own reply."Hello, I'm Scott. Is there anything I can help you with?"
"Hello, Mr. Hunter. A pleasure to meet you, Linda speaks well of you." he nodded to the wicked blond sitting next to him before sitting back down. "Oh, my manners, where are they? Scott, Linda, Linda, Scott. Harada....Yoshida at your service. We are here on a business trip from California arn't we dear? And we decided to unwind a bit by partaking in some night life."
"Yes yes! Did you hear Harada, that that dreadful fire almost took out Hollywood? Small wonder what a bit of spandex can do..." her sly grin came back into action, the faintest twinkle of sparks jumped past her lips, almost imperceptible as her wink.
"Ha! Quite. Pardon Linda, she just can't get enough of these 'supers'. But at least some good can come of them, eh? My business is most interested in such.... eccentricities of today's world." Harada shifted in his seat, glancing past Scott to make sure their privacy was at least a bit intact before continuing.
"Business is good, actually. Something tells me you might be interested, being the rising 'entrepreneur' you are." He slid a black business card across the table a phone number in simple white print underneath a holographic header “Life is only precious because it ends”, rising up and offer his arm to Linda, who was still giggling over his 'entrepreneur' pun to herself. They quickly shuffled from behind the table, and Linda practically drug him away from Scott before he could continue, looking back and giving a mischievous wave at Scott as they disappeared into the crowd.
As quick as they came, they were gone, leaving only flustered questions in their wake.
