For clarification, Grindhouse is the collective title for Planet Terror and Death Proof. Robert Rodriguez directed Planet Terror and Tarantino directed Death Proof. Sometimes both of those movies have Grindhouse in their individual title ("Grindhouse presents Death Proof") when it's just that single film so I can't tell if you're talking about the two movies together or just Planet Terror. But if it's the latter you would be incorrect saying it's Tarantino's work.

Either way, I like 'em both.

The fact that they co-directed "Grindhouse" probably got skewed at some point. They both wrote and directed their own segments. However, they do have producer credits on the other's film. As to the amount of collaboration they did on each other's project, I can only speculate.

That being said, I would not say that QT co-directed Planet Terror. Co-directing is hardly even a thing.
