The Land of Fire, in which resides the Village Hidden in the Leaves. The Land of Earth, where the Village Hidden in Stone lays its foundation. The Land of Water, where the Village Hidden in the Mist dwells. The Land of Lightning where the Village Hidden in the Clouds awaits. Finally, the Land of Wind, where the Village Hidden in the Sand thrives against impossible odds. These five villages are filled with individuals trained in the arts of stealth, assassination, and war... They are shinobi. They are ninja.
But yet of all stories we can tell of these villages, the greatest is off when they first began. When all five were at each others throats. This is the time when the villages began. The time of the First Kages. When the villages were fresh... When they had not yet suffered.

This RP is combat-oriented. While we love a good story with good plot, most of the RP will involve some sort of combat. Therefore, let it be known that his RP is going to be moving at a fast pace.

No Godmodding, Powerplaying, or Metagaming as usual.
Keep it PG-13. Take the rated R stuff(sex, super-gore) to PM, seriously. Profanity is alright, just don't get crazy with it.
You must post at least once every 5 days. If you know that you won't be able to post then inform the RP. If you have not posted after 5 days, and your character is interacting with another user's character then that user will be allowed to puppet your character until you return.
If you have no posted after 10 days without warning, and you're character was not interacting with any other character, then we will assume you have resigned from the RP and your character will be killed by a random piano that falls from the sky. Seriously.
Please take all arguing to PM. You can have a 'debate' but if it gets out of control and resorts to childish behaviors, it will be noted as arguing.
Do not disrespect a GM whatsoever. If you have a problem with a certain GM, PM another GM and they will see what they can do to solve a problem.
Do not post within the IC unless you have been accepted by the majority of GMs.
No canon characters exist here. AT ALL.
In an effort for equality, Shinobi of the same rank should be of similar power.
The higher rank your Shinobi is, the more we expect from you. In other words, if you want a Kage, then you must have a pretty fantastic CS, be active in the IC/OOC, be loved by the people of this RP, and have great grammar/spelling.
You cannot reserve a specific spot. If you want a certain position, you're gonna have to make the CS first. It is always first come, first serve.
GMs have final say on EVERYTHING. They may not need to provide a reason on certain things, in certain scenarios. Keep in mind that we are here for you, so if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
No one can take ownership of anything Canon. However, people can take ownership of something Custom, provided they created it.
Jutsu/Kekki Genkai Restrictions:
You cannot start off with a Mangekyo Sharingan, instead you must gain it legibly. If you ask for permission to have an MS then we shall deny it and deny you the right to make an Uchiha. There will be no bypassing this ruling.
Jinch are available from the start, but the person taking a spot must be responsible about it, and the character must be put together well. If you are a Jinch you may not have a previous Kekkei Genkai.
Also, on the topic of multiple KG. Two KG is reserved for high ranking shinobi, and only 3 spots can be claimed. If you have 2 KG you may not have a doujutsu as a secondary KG. So No bone jutsu and sharingan combos.
On the topic of power theft. If you have a character who can steal KG or use dead bodies as weapons like a puppet user, you will be severely hampered. You will have to train to use the stolen abilities, thus lessening your effectiveness with them. For example, you steal the Lava Release Kekkei Genkai. You will not be able to use Lava Release armor just because the previous character could use it. Power theft can really unbalance an RP if unchecked. Also, for characters with power theft abilities, you will not be allowed to instantly move to a location of death and steal the powers of the deceased. This may seem like common sense, but it needs to be said.
Unique and original Kekkei Tota are allowed. They may not be accepted depending on what it does, but they are allowed. Only 2 Kekkei Tota will be allowed.
Poison is always an iffy issue to discuss. Poison gas must be visible, and not take effect immediately if inhaled. Nor can any poison kill in any time frame less than 5 hours. It can lessen an enemy's combat abilities, and if not treated can lead to major side effects. For example, scars, blindness, or what-not.
Space-Time Migration, Swift Release, and other jutsus (like teleportation, or spacial manipulation) that easily void most, if not all, types of jutsu will be automatically declined.
Everybody loves power, right? Everybody wants to be the very best and build their character, right? Well, here are some conflicts/ ways to make your character do something with all their free time.
- Hidden Scrolls: Each village has a Hidden Scroll of their most forbidden jutsu and weapons. Stealing these scrolls is no easy task, but if you do it grants you some pretty nifty bonuses.
- War: The Villages are building up their military strength. Thus, war is inevitable.
- Treasured Tools of the Sage: Yes, these are allowed in the RP. But, nobody may start with them. They must be hunted down and collected.
- Tailed Beasts: While I did say Jinchuriki could be played, I have selected 5 of the Tailed Beasts to be rogue, and can be captured.

Personality: Metsuki is a stern leader. He expects his underlings to do the same, even though he's very stern, he can still be considered laid back. Metsuki doesn't prefer to fight, mostly it's that he would rather keep peace, but if need be, he would fight. Everyone in his village is equal important to him. With that being said, he has a conciol that he speaks with before making a big decsion. Metsuki loves to eat as well, that and very pretty ladies. Some would consider him an old perv, but they still respect him. When it comes to fighting, Metsuki tries not to kill, but if someone threatens one of his people, he will not be so kind.
History: Born of two clans, that resided in the same country created this child. The head of the Uzumaki and the daughter of the Head of the Tushiro clan. They named him Metsuki, because he was the merging of two different natures, Suiton and Fuuton. Both those natures aided in the first of the Whirlpool Style. From a young age Metsuki was destined for greatness. Before the villages were made, Metsuki was destined to go the main island and become a founder of the village. So with several Uzumaki and Tushiro, Metsuki set forth to the main land. Soon enough, the village Hidden in the Leaves was formed. Metsuki named the village Kohonagakure, soon it was not just Uzumaki and Tushiro. Both Senju and Uchiha soon arrived ever strengthening the village.
Metsuki was a kind soul, he welcomed them all, as long as they followed the rules that were set down. He would be known as the Hokage. Metsuki was in his mid thirties when he founded the village. Since he started to get older, he needed to show that he was not weak. So he continued to master his own style. Learning new techniques and proving that he was still a force to mess with.

Personality: Known as Kanja the Undeterred, there are few men who can claim to be as fearless as Kanja. Kanja is one of the few shinobi who have faced the Tailed Beast and come out unscathed. Known to stand on the frontlines of conflict there are few things that scare Kanja. His iron will and constant desire to push himself make it seemingly impossible to dissuade him from a course of action.
Kanja is even in possession of a fast witted mind, making him a shinobi more than capable of thinking on his feet. Employing ruthless tactics without hesitation, Kanja is a ruthless commander, constantly pushing on any advantage. This ruthlessness extends even to prisoners of war, or rather 'victims of war.' Kanja is infamous for never taking a prisoner, and executes any who surrender to him in battle.
History: Born during the age of war, Kanja was born into the small Yotsuki clan. As a child he was already exceptional in courage, willing to face even his teachers in combat without hesitation. Seemingly dedicated to the clan from birth, Kanja was always trying to gain attention, even performing dangerous tasks and constantly working. Rather assertive, Kanja was openly despised by other students who were often jealous of the attention and praise he received. But, as the Yotsuki were a small ninja clan, Kanja was overlooked by many in the ninja world who believed that strength was everything. But Kanja took that in stride, and with iron clad resolve dedicated himself to becoming stronger so that he could take on even shinobi from the legendary clans.
Kanja's father, Momotaru, was the village head of the Kanja, and passed onto his son the anchor kunai. The Anchor kunai were used as ways to transmite chakra across great distances in the middle of combat, without risking the safety of the user. With these, Kanja began to develop his own jutsu based off those of his father, and even advancing his method of combat. Over the years his jutsu skills grew and grew, and at the age of 16 he took control of his clan. As the head of the Yotsuki he began forging alliances with smaller clans, building up the foundation of what would later become Kumogakure. This build up of military force drew attention from other clans, who began to follow Kanja's methods in order to avoid being overrun.
Eventually though, disaster began to take hold. The world was struck with a thunderstorm larger than any other in the world. The legendary beast Raiju had been awakened and began to attack and destory whatever was in its path. Finally though, Raiju's destruction drew Kanja's attention, and he went to stop the beast. Facing Raiju in combat, Kanja utilized his skill with lightning jutsu to face down Raiju. Finally, he managed to trap and subdue Raiju. But rather than kill the beast, Kanja chose to take it as his summon, further expanding his reputation and power.
Eventually the alliance Kanja had formed grew, until it was decided that they would become a village and share their resources. And amongst many worthy choices, Kanja was the greatest. As the founder of the Alliance, and the strongest of shinobi, Kanja was selected to lead the village as it's first Kage.
Weapons/Items: - Anchor Kunai x30: A unique kunai used by the First Raikage for ranged combat. Each kunai is shaped like an anchor, with bladed prongs to let them dig into whatever they touch. Attached to the handle of each kunai is a chain, which allows Kanja to control the course of the weapon, as well as channel his chakra. While less effective as a stabbing weapon, these kunai can be used for a much greater range of activities, and form the basis of many of Kanja's more powerful jutsu. - Scrolls x3: Kanja carries three scrolls on his back. Each scroll holds 30 Anchor Kunai which can be summoned in the middle of combat. Each scroll can also be used to store other weapons Kanja takes from a battlefield.

Name of Technique: Barrier Technique: Lightning Wall Type of Jutsu: Barrier Ninjutsu Rank: C-S Range: The area of the barrier is determined by markers set up by the user. For Kanja his anchor kunai act as the markers, with one in each of the cardinal directions needed to form the barrier. The amount of chakra required also determines the size and longevity. A barrier capable of protecting a village will not last as long as a barrier set to protect one person. Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 1 Description: One of the most powerful barrier jutsu ever invented. By placing a marker in each of the 4 cardinal directions around the user, they can summon a barrier of electricity. This barrier is capable of defending the user against all but the strongest wind based jutsu.
The barrier's shape is determined by the user's will, why the boundaries are determined by the markers.
A secondary version of this technique allows the user to use this jutsu as a quick defense. By spinning the chains of his anchor kunai in a circular pattern, Kanja can create a small personal shield which protects him from direct attacks rather than attacks from multiple directions.
Any enemies who make contact with the barrier while activate will be electrocuted, maiming of killing those who do not possess a high durability. Weakness: The technique requires a set up, and is vulnerable to the wind element.
Name of Technique: Lightning Illusion Static Field Type of Jutsu: Genjutsu Rank: A Range: 50 meters Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 2 Description: By converting one's chakra into countless microscopic electrical sparks through which the user will coordinate complex signaling to the targets nerves, thereby creating illusory objects or areas. Due to the method of performance this technique requires incredibly masterful chakra control, which may at times make it difficult to perform other techniques while maintaining Lightning Illusion Static Field. To coincide with the inherent difficulty of this technique its effects are incredibly potent. Since this technique activates the targets nervous system directly it can cause illusory effects that target all of the opponent's senses at once, including chakra sensory if the user desires. Due to this fact victims of this technique commonly fail to realize that they are under the effects of a genjutsu. This particular static based illusion is utilized to create either illusory objects, people, or surroundings that can be witnessed by several people. Since this illusion effects areas and not particular targets, the effects have an even greater tendency to be ignored. As this technique creates hallucinations that are incredibly believable, even if one recognizes they are under its effects it may be difficult to break the illusion's hold. Weakness: N/A
Name of Technique: Lightning Release: Raijiin's Calling Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: S Range: This technique is cast inside the boundaries of Kanja's Barrier Techniques: Lightning Wall technique. Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 35 Description: After trapping a target inside Barrier Technique: Lightning Wall, Kanja forms several handseals. After the handseals are complete, any target trapped inside the barrier is vaporized by a surge of electricity. This technique is often seen as Kanja's finishing move, dealing great damage and killing any target trapped inside his jutsu. Weakness: High number of handseals, set up.
Name of Technique: Lightning Release: Raiju's Claw Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: C Range: Chakra Channeling Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 0 Description: By channeling electric chakra through his anchor kunai, Kanja greatly increases his lethality. The chains become tools of cutting power on par with chidori. With a single swing he can bisect a shinobi, and combined with his great skill and range there are few who challenge Kanja because of this. Weakness: This technique can be countered by the wind element. Lack of stealth, as the electricity creates a noticeable noise similar to a buzzsaw.
Name of Technique: Lightning Release: Grand Lightning Cascade Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: A Range: Long Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 10 Description: A much more advanced version of Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder. This technique covers a much larger area, tearing up the earth around the user in a complete 360 degree radius. This technique is capable of rewriting a battlefield and destroying nearby structures with notable ease. Weakness: Contact with the ground, damaging to allies and structures, cannot harm airborne targets.
Name of Technique: Raijiin Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: S Range: Self Nature Type: Lightning Handseals: 1 Description: Kanja's ultimate jutsu, and one relatively unknown to the world. After all, who can speak of such a powerful jutsu when nobody can escape it.
The technique first requires that Kanja activate the Pressure Points of Harm and Death. Once active Kanja forms a single handseal. Then, Raiju is used as a catalyst, it's sentient mind and electric body being used to create a suit of armor around Kanja. It takes the form of a gigantic, vulpine deity that surrounds the user.
Much like the legendary Susanoo of Uchiha legends, Raijiin is a suit of armor capable of protecting the user from powerful jutsu. Like a mobile version of Kanja's Barrier Technique: Lightning Wall, the user is invulnerable to all but the strongest Wind jutsu. Yet, the most devestating part of this jutsu is the set of drums formed around the base. By striking the drums with one of Raijiin's hands the user can create a shockwave of electical jutsu. This shockwave can knock back foes, and can even tear up the land surrounding the user. Weakness: Raiju must be summoned while Kanja uses Pressure Points of Harm and Death. Takes three posts to properly build up the armor to it's maximum capabilities. A high chakra cost is added as well. The armor is still vulnerable to wind jutsu.

Name: Raiju Species: Lightning Age: N/A Size: N/A Unique Traits: Raiju is a beast composed entirely of electricity. It can take on the form of any beast it desires, from fox, to mouse, to rhinoceros. As a beast composed entirely of electricity it is remarkably fast, and possesses acute senses. Lightning jutsu can be absorbed into Raiju's body to increase it's power. Jutsu: Raiju possesses no real jutsu. Except for the fact that it's body is forged of electricity the beast does not seem capable of jutsu. History: In Shinto legend, Raiju is the pet of Raijiin, the god of lightning. Raiju was forged from lightning itself, and is a calm beast in nature. But it becomes agitated in battle, leaping form tree to tree, destroying all it touches. Over twenty years ago it appeared during a thunderstrom. The greatest storm of the century, and it began to destroy the land of the Clouds. Kanja of the Yotsuki clan faced Raiju, and tamed the formidable beast in battle. Taking the beast of lightning as his summon and stead, Kanja secured himself as a legend.
