i'm in for the anti-terrorist one
EDIT: Here's the OOC: http://roleplayerguild.com/showthrea...13#post8135313
.
In these battles you must cooperate with others, using strategy to take down an enemy force that greatly outnumbers and/or overpowers your own . Each wave gets more difficult, so it's possible that all playable characters may die before beating the last wave, but if you guys pull it off then your characters will be listed in the hall of fame in the OOC thread (not yet created) for each different scenario that you guys complete. There are different difficulty levels for different scenarios. Everyone gets to choose which they would like to play (you can join multiple ones), and if enough people want to play a certain one then it will get started. Below I will list a few of the different scenarios I'm planning on to give you a small taste, but feel free to suggest your own in this interest check so I can have it ready at the beginning when posting the OOC. The scenarios can be endless; from fighting terrorists, repelling alien invasions, assisting medieval militaries, etc. In the list when I mention powers, most scenarios can have magic while some are realistic. If it has magic I'll come up with tiers when I post the OOC, but expect to at best destroy a house using up a ton of your energy and people will need to protect you while you charge the attack. In the list when I mention setting, fantasy takes place in the past with swords, bows, etc., and will more then likely be from a fantasy realm other then Earth. For the max, that's the maximum amount of players I'll allow. The minimum number is whatever the people who want to play that challenge feel comfortable with.
.
The Dancing Blobs
Difficulty-1/10 (Baby)
Waves-3
Max-None
Powers-Magic
Setting-Fantasy. An empty field.
Other-More like a practice round then a challenge. You're attacked from all sides by a bunch of pure white, blob-like beings who look like featureless humanoids. They have no strategy, magic, or weapons other then their bodies itself, and can be destroyed easily by both magic and physical attacks. They're stretchy and often attack with "hands" and "feet" that can turn into the shape of weapons if desired, but are not even as powerful as iron. The only real threat is when they "die" they turn into a adhesive goo that can limit players movements and get you swarmed from all sides. Each wave comes in from all sides. The final bosses will each look like one of the playable characters and will have a fighting style like character, excluding magical abilities.
.
Secure
Difficulty-3/10 (Normal)
Waves-3
Max-4
Powers- Realistic
Setting-Modern. Building compound in the United States
Restrictions- Don't allow the EMP bomb to be detonated. You have at most 30 minutes.
Other-Your characters are a mercenary team sent to take out a terrorist group and stop an EMP bomb from wiping out all electronics in the target area. The enemies have modern military equipment, but are just terrorists so aren't as well trained. The battle starts outside the compound for the first wave, the second wave is fought inside a building, then the last wave inside the more secure section of a building where the device is held.
.
Giant Enemy Crab
Difficulty-5/10 (Formidable)
Waves-4
Max-8
Powers- Magic
Setting-Fantasy. Beach.
Other-This battle is inspired by an internet meme. The crabs have incredibly tough shells and powerful pinchers, so either use magic or manage to expose their undersides using teamwork to attack their weak point for massive damage. Some of the crabs are normal sized that come in swarms, all the way up to the boss crab at the end who's as big as a house.
.
Temple of the End
Difficulty-10/10 (Legendary)
Waves-5
Max-None. Everyone, get involved!!!
Powers- Magic
Setting-Fantasy. A massive, floating temple.
Other-Your enemies include magical beings both large and small wearing golden colored magical armor, having a variety of magically enhanced weapons, and also a massive boss monster at the end of every wave. The only saving grace is that there are places to heal completely (excluding death) after every wave. Win this one and the bragging rights will be great. Will enough people even join to have a chance?
