It was assumed their skin color wasn't there and that they could be any ethnicity. Which is retarded, besides Hussie has 4 million dollars to make a game that most people would be satisfied with if it was just a 30 minute flash thing.

I understand that, but my point is, since they were drawn white, shouldn't they have white skin? Darker-skinned characters like the trolls have darker-colored skin. The humans don't. They're white.

Besides, keep in mind the reason they were drawn pure white was probably because, in the beginning of Homestuck (like Act 1 and parts of 2), there was hardly any color to begin with. For once I don't think there was any sort of "deeper meaning" behind something Hussie did. It was just... a color scheme. That's it.
