Well, have you ever played a game called Virtual Villagers?
The whole point was to help colonize an island and one of main objectives was to reproduce in to a large population, but the rest of it was to research things such as alchemy, engineering and magic. You would discover things that would help you and accumulate points to research more and more things such as how to fill a river with water again or how to use alchemy to your advantage in ways of healing and such.
That'd be the point of the roleplay, while going through some pretty fun arcs such as trying to find out more and more about sirens around the island or engaging in a war between colonists from a large country that want to take the island for themselves.

Alrighty guys, I've finished working on the basic plot of the WWIII RP, guys.
Trust me, its not gonna be some kind of army/military roleplay. This is gonna be bent on pure anarchy. I'm talking dirty streets and bars filled with patrons toting guns here, real peculiar characters. I even have a few characters you might enjoy, all of them having their own quirks.
Nice. I'm looking forwad to that. I already know what kind of character i'll be making.
