Instead of falling into the demon world, Vergil stayed behind with Dante. He understood that power came from family and the bonds one had toward humans. His quest for power wasn't fully fulfilled so he left in search of the secrets of Sparda whilst Dante opened up the famed Devils Never Cry. For years they fought demons seperately until Dante began to hear less and less of his twin brother.

Many years later, Dante was given a mission to fight and stand against the Demon Emperor Mundus, a being that was so strong that it took Sparda's great power to hold him off. Castle of Mundus is where Dante met with nelo Angelo who turned out to be Vergil under Mundus's control. Breaking the control, the brothers went on to face Mundus, defeating him and gaining a new ally in Trish.

A year has passed since they met the one named Nero, Sparda's third child Reports have been gathered that demons have become more frantic. What has been feared is that Mundus has returned. But what is more strange is that Trish has brought to them that it appears that Sparda is heading the forces of Mundus. Taking this into account, the brothers have taken the job to face Mundus once again and maybe even meet their father.

Devil Arms:

He is much more powerful in his Devil Form, and attacks with greater force and speed, fires magically charged shots from his revolver and infuses some of his attacks with Demonic energy to enhance the damage inflicted on enemies. The magical energy within his Demonic arm enables him to shoot electricity and flames from the palm, sending his enemies either burning or electrocuted. His altered form allows him to sprout wings and grants the ability to fly.

In addition, to his great skills in combat, something that has earned him certain respect among his peers, Nero possesses the enhanced physical abilities of a demon. This combined with his already admirable combat skills makes Nero a very formidable adversary.
He showed several remarkable feats of immense power and amazing combat prowess, including defeating several powerful demons (Berial, Bael, and Echidna), defeating countless demons on his way through the Mitis Forest, defeating Credo who had gained a large increase in power from the Ascension Ceremony, killing Sanctus while he was in his final ascended form and powered by both The Savior and the Sword of Sparda's immense energies, and striking the final blow to the the Savior, something even Dante was unable to do. In addition, Sanctus remarked that Nero had inherited Sparda's power.


Nero has shown the ability to channel his demonic power into objects shown in his Charged Shot and Air Hike abilities.


Even before gaining Devil Trigger, Nero is shown to be extremely strong, able to easily block Berial's huge flaming sword, using only his left hand and Red Queen, and he even forced Berial's sword back with a strong thrust. He has also demonstrated the ability to skillfully fight enemies without his usual weapons or the Devil Bringer; he easily defeated a large group of Scarecrows using only hand-to-hand combat and a blade he'd taken from one of the demons
Nero's Devil Bringer can extend into a ghostly apparation of itself and grab enemies in a mid-long range away from him and throw them into the ground. He can also grapple demons and execute a combo, mostly pummeling before delivering a final blow.

Description: Ebony & Ivory are Dante's trademark pair of personally customized, semi-automatic pistols, designed to rapidly fire bullets instilled with his demonic power. The right-handed white gun, Ivory, was custom built for rapid firing and fast draw times, while the left-handed black gun, Ebony, has been modified for long-distance targeting and comfort.

Ebony & Ivory are both M1911-style handguns chambered for the .45 ACP round, and boast a plethora of customized features:
Both pistols have been modified with pivot-style triggers as opposed to the 1911's usual straight-pull trigger

Both feature custom sight systems; Ebony uses a set of target sights, while Ivory uses a pair of combat sights

Both feature ported muzzle compensators that reduce recoil and counteract muzzle flip. Both barrels are extend through the compensators and are ported to match the cuts in the
compensators.

Both use custom slides that have been noticeably thickened and reinforced along the slide travel rails and around the chamber and firing mechanism. The result is a slide that bears a
resemblance to SIG-Sauer's M1911 line.

Rails have been bolted to the forward portion of both frames. These rails are used to hold the compensators in place.
Both use double-stack magazines with slam-pads.

Both have gold-plated magazine releases, hammers, safety switches and triggers.

Ebony features a hooked, two-handed trigger-guard, while Ivory uses a more traditional rounded trigger-guard.

Both weapons use ergonomic wood grips which are inlaid with portraits of Victorian women; as befits their names, Ebony's is dark-haired, and Ivory's is fair-haired.

Ebony's Ejection port is located on the left side of the weapon, as opposed to the right side (as Ebony is meant to be used left-handed, this causes spent brass to be ejected away from Dante.

Description:Rebellion is a massive broadsword with a heavy double-edged blade, notched on both sides near the tip. In its dormant form, the pommel is a single spike, but after awakening it splits open into several. The grip is plain, but the guard is skeletal, with a skull-face on each side leading to the rib cage from which the blade emerges. Dormant, the crosstree is folded in against the ribs, but extends when awakened. Interestingly, the sword alludes to Dante's half-demon heritage: the skull on one side of the hilt is human, while the other has a pair of horns.

Description: Alastor is a living Devil Arm, the "Thunder Sword" and "Spirit of Lightning". It is also one of the two keys alongside Ifrit that can unlock Dante's inner, unlimited power. It can only be wielded by the "chosen one" who can conquer it, but it is able to grant its possessor lightning speed and aerial capability.

Devil Form:

Physical Skills/powers: Dante possesses extraordinary powers beyond that of any human being and most demons thanks to the blood of his father, The Dark Knight Sparda, running through his veins. It's implied that Dante's power surpasses that of even his father, a notable example being when Dante defeated Griffon for the final time the latter commented, "Dante's are definitely the powers of Sparda. No, even more so."

He has the strength to punch through and/or shatter stone with little difficulty, and often overpowers demons much larger than himself. Dante has been seen snapping handcuffs and effortlessly overpowering human authorities as well as street thugs with his bare hands. Dante's display of superhuman strength indicates that his physical condition is much tougher than that of humans, allowing him to exert his enhanced muscle power to vast proportions without fear of injury or fatigue.

Dante is blindingly fast, able to dash a short distance to dodge attacks, dodge bullets fired at close-range, and move so fast that he appears to teleport. He is extremely agile as well; able to jump to great heights or even balance himself on a flying rocket, as well as run up vertical walls. In addition, his agility allows him to perform amazing feats of acrobatics that easily surpass even the finest human acrobat.

He is able to channel his power into various physical objects, ranging from his guns to the air itself. Dante can also hold his breath indefinitely, or perhaps even breathe underwater, as he can remain submerged for extended periods of time without taking damage or needing to surface for air. Additionally, Dante possesses great resistance to heat, as shown when he casually sat on the flaming tail of Berial and came out with little more than a burnt coat. When he first met Trish, he demonstrated telekinetic abilities, catching Trish's motorcycle in mid-flight before shooting it with Ebony and Ivory. He also appeared to show telekinectic abilities later on, when he splayed his hand and Rebellion smahed through the ceiling window before landing in his hand.

Dante's durability has been shown to allow him to simply shrug off wounds that would either disable or outright kill a normal Human, such as being impaled through the chest with his own sword, struck by opponents with superhuman strength, or being shot point-blank in the head and stomach.

The guns are primarily modeled after the Colt M1911 design, and are quite similar to the Ebony & Ivory, but with fewer customizations.
-Both weapons use customized slides and extended frames that lend them a very angular appearance.

-Both weapons have been modified with short-pull triggers, target sights, beavertail grip safeties, and slam-pads on their magazines. Also, both have an additional decock lever mounted on the
slide (similar to the Polish Vis).

-As with Ebony & Ivory, the left-handed weapon (Ombra) uses a custom slide. The extractor and ejection port have been reversed, thus causing the spent shells to be expelled away from the
shooter when used left-handed.

-"Luce & Ombra" is engraved in cursive on the outward sides of both pistols, next to the image of a smiling half-moon/half-sun face.

-Both handguns are outfitted with ergonomic wood grips. In the middle of the grip panels are portraits of Victorian women, just as on the Ebony & Ivory; as befits their names, Ombra's is dark-haired, and Luce's is fair-haired. Oddly enough, an engraving addressed to Dante is also carved into both sets of guns.

Description:The Sword of Sparda was originally wielded by Sparda himself both during his time in service to Mundus and during his rebellion, but when he closed the gate between the Human and Demon Worlds, he also sealed his demonic power within the blade in order to ensure the strength of the seal. When awakened, the Sparda has the uncanny ability to shift forms, from sword to spear to scythe.
Dante plants the sword as a memorial to the seemingly dead Trish, but Trish is later revealed to be alive, and Dante allows her to use the blade as her own.

Physical Skills/powers: She is shown to have a combat style that relies heavily upon melee attacks. She has some degree of superhuman strength as she is able to lift a motorcycle and throw it at Dante. She also has superhuman speed, agility and endurance similar to Dante. She was able to hitch a ride on one of Lady's rockets and amplifiy its power at the same time while fighting Abigail. Like most demons, she has a considerable healing factor: healing from a bullet graze in a few seconds.

She has fought Dante with a combination of hand-to-hand combat and the element of electricity, when they first met. She also seems to be able to use this electricity to teleport from location to location. Trish can utilize demonic energy in the form of electricity like her other abilities except it can be fired off in bursts of spheres or use ions fields to fly. She can lace static electricity on the ground or in the air. If one touches this electric traps then they are stunned in their tracks. The larger the opponent...the harder it is to stun.
