    Time Vortex Manipulator
The TVM is your main piece of equipment. Sentinels are given one the moment they receive their codename. The TVM resembles a palm sized tablet. It looks like a smartphone without a screen. Most of it's features are activated through the mind. It's operation system appears to you at the speed of thought. You can do a lot of actions in split seconds with it. The features on the TVM are like apps on a phone. You access them individually, and can keep multiple ones running in the background if you need to. The Gravity Manipulator, the Chameleon Circuit, the Memory Wiper, the Sonic Laser, and the music/video player are usually the most used programs.

The Gravity Manipulator is exactly what it says on the tin. It has a seemingly infinite range. Although it's safety will activate if you try to do something like move the Moon out of orbit. Anything that involves gravity can be manipulated with this feature. You must use the TVM as a focus when using this feature. Point it like a gun at what you want to affect.

The Chameleon Circuit acts as a powerful cloaking suite. It has multiple features. It can manipulate your body to turn you into whatever image you desire. Change you from male to female. It can just make you invisible if you want (although it doesn't take away sound or smell in this regard). Note that any changes you make are actual physical changes. If you switch genders, you actually switch genders (goodbye boobies, hello flabby man pecks...). The effects have to be actively removed. So if you lose your TVM while pretending to be someone else, tough shit until you get your TVM back.

The Memory Wiper is what it says on the tin as well. Point it at who you want, set it for either long or short term, and welcome to the blackout. It won't work on other Sentinels, since their brains keep a backup memory in case they ever get hit in the head with amnesia or something worse. In the future people have similar implants to prevent memory tampering. This is where the Sonic Laser comes in.

The Sonic Laser uses sound frequencies to cut through any known material. It can be used for work as delicate as microsurgery to remove a memory implant (see above) from a person's brain. It can also be used for work as massive as cutting a tank in half. It is the weapon of choice for the Sentinels.

The Music/Video Player is very nice. Able to download terabytes of data in a matter of seconds. It displays images in crystal clear resolution (1080p is for savages), and the music player is able to capture sound in ways the human ear could only dream of.

    • The only visible feature to others when they see your TVM is the symbol for your codename.
    • The TVM can only be activated by you. It's locked onto your Geneseed. Theoretically someone with the same Geneseed could use it. It records everyone who has touched it. So if someone steals it, and you get it back, you'll know exactly who they were.
    • It can be used for short and long distant jumps. You could go 7 seconds into the future, or 1 Trillion years into the past. Both actions would take the same amount of effort.
    • Be aware that Gravity warps Time, so using it beyond "lifting heavy object" is basic training for a Sentinel.
    • The only thing that will tax your TVM are paradoxes. Which will cause the device to overheat. Paradoxes are things like...Going back in time to stop someone you accidentally killed from dieing. You run into the issue that...if they are no longer dieing why did you go back in time to save them? Stuff like that. It's doable, but don't push your luck.
    • TVM's are theoretically indestructible. The ones you are using are the ones that were originally created for the first Sentinels. If a TVM were to be destroyed, the effects would be catastrophic. They technically exist in every point of Time and Space all at once, so it would effect more than just the general area. The explosion would be spectacular to say the least.

When traveling through time, the Vortex Manipulator uses a small gate that only you can fit through. The effects are usually pretty subdue, but because it could confuse locals, you are usually only permitted to jump to secludes places. The act of traveling through time is called "Jumping" this is because you get that sensation when doing it. First timers to time travel, will usually stumble or fall over when they make a Jump. Sentinels always land on their feet, unless having to make a jump from an awkward position (like falling from a Sky Scraper).

Notes: Yeah the TMV is based almost entirely on the device from Doctor Who with a sprinkle of Sonic Screwdriver and Gravity Gun from Half-Life thrown in.

This is fucking incredible, Watts. Please comic the hell out of this shit. Also, pardon my French. I get profane when I'm excited, and also when I'm not.

The more I read, the more I like this idea. Tau, at your service.

Also, there is a picture in the Attachments. Would you mind if I would use it like an actual appearance without using the Chameleon Circuit ?

No that would definitely have to be a Chameleon Circuit trick. The Watchers wouldn't give birth to something like that. The Chameleon Circuit's purpose is for stuff like this. So you can make a character that looks however you wish. So use it.

But... Technically.... Wouldn't everything the Sentinels do be considered paradoxical? I mean, if they fixed the error in time, why go back in time? And, if the Inventor and/or Traveller went back in time to cbange something in the past, and it changed, why would they be going there in the first place?

(Just felt like being a twat for a second there. Ahem)

Also, just curious about Night Machine/formerly-Sigma. I know he's based off Nikola Tesla from BotS, but i was just wondering how well based?

    BotS was great.
Didn't read the last two issues, but I loved the ones I read.

    The White Army and the Black Baron;
Are trying to force us back to the Tsar.

It's when you keep trying to do something over and over, and you keep fucking it up. There is a reason the Erasures exist, otherwise we could just keep trying to do something an infinite number of times to get the results we wanted.

Night Machine is related to SHIELD in about as much as...really nothing. Since there is no SHIELD in this universe. I just really liked his look, and the fact that he was Nikola Tesla works out because that guy lived a weird life that could be explained by Time Travel as well.

Oh I guess I can also say that I will be playing the Night Machine, and that all those snipits in the OP were from his POV except the last one which was from Omicron's.
