An Inbetween Magic: The Hunt for the Tree (OOC/Open/Signups)

There is a world parallel to our own. An ancient world, lost in time, lost in space. It is a space between. Therein exists magic. Many forms of magic, but magic nonetheless. Some have the ability to use magic, others don't. Some use weapons, others don't. It should be peaceful. No one wants for anything, there is enough for all. But wars exist, as they always must. People of all skills and talents and magics pick sides, no talent makes one side more promising than another. This place was once ruled by great councils, the ancestors of all who use magic. Now it is up for grabs, a calm sort of anarchy in play.
And out of The Endless Gardens, a legend emerges, one long thought the stuff of fairy tails. But this is truth. The Gardens contain any plant, animal, creature (and anything in between) that has ever existed in the Inbetween or any other world. And in the heart of this Garden, hidden away by civilizations long past, is the first tree. Myths and religions from across the universes share this tree in their stories, and it has many names. The Tree of Life, Yggdrasil, The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It bears a single fruit, a fruit which grants the deepest desires of those who partake in it. Many would seek to use it for their own selfish desires. An organized group of them known as the West Bank (so named for which side of the Great River their leaders live on,) is rallying its forces to find a way to locate the Tree, while an ancient group who seeks to oppose this (usually unnamed, but recently taking on the name of the East Bank, in opposition of the West Bank, and because it is on that side that their headquarters are) is coming back together to keep the Tree hidden at all costs, even though they themselves lack knowledge of it's location.
Who will gain The Fruit of The Tree? What will it be used for. Pick a class, join a side, and fight for your beliefs, desires, and the universe itself.

So, the basics: you pick a class, and a side (east bank [good guys] or west bank [bad guys]), and we'll go on from there. I'll have my own personal character, as well as two major NPC characters who are the leaders of each side. I will also allow you to submit apps for possible major NPCs (who I will play as, as well). Minor NPCs (bartenders, shopkeepers, etc), you can control in your regular posts.

    My Personal Character
    Name: Amelia Winecraft
    Aliases: The Duchess
    Appearance:

    Side (East/West Bank): West Bank
    Class: Enchantress
Powers/Skills: A skilled Enchantress with a strong knowledge of the ancient Fairie runes she writes her spells in, Amelia focuses on curses and bewitchment. This means she gives items special abilities that are either useful to her (ie flight, teleportation, etc) or dangerous to her enemies (ie blindness, deafness, etc.) However, because her spells are so powerful, they consume great amounts of magical energy and wear off eventually after the spell is activated (not the same as being written.) She can write several protection spells upon herself, but due to her other focuses she has little skill in Spells written on living things like people.
    Weapons/Equipment (w/ powers if relevant):
Like all Enchanters, Amelia's primary weapon and magical instrument is an enchanted writing instrument, in her case a Quill. Containing an endless supply of ink, the Quill is Amelia's best friend as she uses it to enchant objects or (in rare occasions) herself.
Personality: Cold, cruel and calculating, Amelia is the definition of Power Lust.
Bio: One of the wealthiest women in The Inbetween, Amelia has a sprawling estate on the West Bank overlooking the Great River. Born into a powerful family of Enchanters, Amelia learned her craft from an early age. However, as time went on she saw that her greatest rivals in the industry were those who taught her: her family. Though she, like all those with magic, did not have the ability to use killing spells, she murdered all those in her family and inherited the family's wealth in the process. She sided with those on the West Bank as they share her goal of ultimate domination of The Inbetween. Her alliance with them is uneasy however, for she despises nothing more than the prospect of having to share any power she gains.

Leader of the West Bank (NPC)
    Name: Anderson Bancroft
Aliases: The Wizard of the West
    Appearance:

    Side (East/West Bank): West Bank
    Class: Sorcerer
Powers/Skills: Necromancy (raising and controlling the dead), as well as some various, basic spells
    Weapons/Equipment (w/ powers if relevant):
    Also has a rapier
Personality: Evil, cruel to the bone. Anderson is the richest man in the Inbetween, and likes to flaunt his wealth and power. He can buy whatever he likes, except for one thing: The Fruit. And that has driven him mad.
Bio: Hundreds (if not thousands) of years old, due to dark practices of black magic, Bancroft is one of the greatest Mages in the Inbetween. He owns half of the West Bank, and even more of the East Bank, as well as the Bancroft Bridge, a great spanning stone bridge, the only connection between the Two Banks.

Leader of the East Bank (NPC)
    Name: Vanessa Bridges
    Aliases: The Soldier
    Appearance:

    Side (East/West Bank): East Bank
    Class: Weapons Master
Powers/Skills: Skilled in a variety of weapons and tools, as well as acrobatics.
    Weapons/Equipment (w/ powers if relevant):
Vanessa's primary weapons are a pair of khopesh, known as the sun and the moon. The sun (the silver one) can cut through magical armor and items, while the moon (the ebony one) can block magical attacks. They're also just really good swords. She also has a variety of ninja like tools/weapons she can employ.
Personality: Kind and headstrong, she is a reluctant, but confident, decisive leader.
Bio: No one but her closest circle know that Vanessa Bridges is actually Vanessa Bancroft, daughter of Anderson Bancroft. Vanessa was disowned after it was discovered that she had no magical ability. Forced to wander through the slums of the East Bank, a young Vanessa was taken in by a kindly couple: the husband an enchanter and the wife a weapons master. The wife taught Vanessa everything she knew, and the husband forged her khopesh as a parting gift. After seeing the generosity and kindness of the common people, and after hearing of her fathers plot to find the Fruit, Vanessa banded together some of her closest allies in an attempt to stop him and the rest of the West Bank.

Might be interested in making a East Side Conjurer. How many people were you looking for?

Credits to FoXus for this awesome set.
If I could take up 10 minutes of your time I'd be grateful.

Around 10-14, at least eight, and no more than twenty. With fairly even sides and at least one player in every class.

    Name: Saracove Verchiel.

    Aliases: The Wanderer.

Appearance: Saracove is a taller man with long jet black hair, it's almost as if he's never gotten around to getting it cut. He's sort of lanky in build, not much of a muscle man and sharp featured with a bit of a high elven bone-structure and a beaky hawknose. He has stony gray-green eyes and full lips. He's often seen in a black cloak more than anything and beggar's boots.

    Side: West bank.

    Class: Conjurer.

Powers/Skills: He's a pretty average conjurer, no higher than most. He can't yet produce things from thin air but he's still trying to learn.

Weapons/Equipment (w/ powers if relevant): He is know to carry a hunting staff of oak with him, it's built to withstand the blows of most other weapons but he rarely wants to use it because as soon at it comes in contact with a blade, it's going to snap like a brittle twig. He'd rather rely on powers, which can be a bit tedious with the range of abilities that he has.

Personality: Saracove is actually quite quiet and calculative, he often only speaks if he's spoken to. It's hard to imagine what he's pondering all the time but he never seems to go very far into conversation. In short, he's pretty distant to everyone and anyone. He's often quick tempered and a bit short, not wishing to hear too much jabber in his direction. He's younger than he appears, so often he's a bit impatient and aggrieved. He's the jealous type, wishing that he was allot more like the sorcerers and holding a bit of a grudge to himself that he never plans to vocalize. He's a bit moody amongst all these other wonderful traits but he has an almost-pleasant demeanor beneath it all.
Drfunsake; Where crappy phones are out and IPods are in.
