Karnage had to push past crowds, leap over stalls, and break through walls to get to Lucilia. But as he got closer and closer, the crowd began to thicken, to the point that his bulky frame could not get through with a simply shove. He dared not drop his pack, least it get stolen, but with it his current load his ability to maneuver through the crowds would either have to involve actively harming bystanders or finding a longer alternative route, which might make him too late to save Lucilia. So he made his own option; flexing his fingers, Karnage stabbed them into the wall of a building, and climbed over the crowds. Under normal circumstances, Karnage would be able to do this but not with the large wooden box on his back, however whatever that spirit thing that entered his mind from before was giving him an enormous power boost. He climbed higher and higher, until he was able to look down into the crowd and find Lucilia. Much to his horror, he found her; an armored evil looking person was grabbing her by the wrist, and while she was playing it cool, he knew that she knew that she was in some danger, hence why Karnage was able to come to her aid. But seeing Lucilia with that man, Karnage could not simply stay where he was at and watch. Slave or not, even if it was a complete stranger, Karnage would not have only watched. In one moment Karnage was climbing the wall, and the next, he appeared to his master. The box was no longer on his back, as it was left on the roof of a building not too far away. And from the feet-shaped holes in the ground, it would have appeared that Karnage had jumped and landed near his master and the stranger.
The moment he saw him, Karnage knew this stranger was no mere man in armor. He was a wizard of some sort, and surely able to overwhelm Karnage in pure magical powers if it came to that. But Karnage wasn't here to fight him. With a swift movement, Karnage ridged his fingers and shot it towards the stranger's hand, which had a firm grasp on Lucilia's wrist. The moent he touched them, Karnage knew he couldn't force the man's fingers off, not unless he could get a good grip on his finger. But again, Karange wasn't here to harm the stranger, only free Lucilia. So he had to dig his fingers underneath the stranger's hand and into Lucilia's wrist. It would cause some bruising and cutting on her part, but nothing that Karnage or any other mildly-competent healer couldn't fix. Karnage wrapped his own hand around Lucilia's wrist, but underneath the stranger's hand. Once he had a full grip, all Karnage had to do was move his hand out in a swift motion, freeing Lucilia. It all happened so quickly that many people didn't even realize Karnage was there, not even Lucilia, who was truly surprised that her hand was freed and bleeding.
"Wh-what? Oh?" Lucilia took a large step back, putting much space between the stranger, Karnage, and herself. After recovering from the surprise from Karnage, she was able to deduce why he was here. Obviously the magic on the gauntlets had alerted him of her danger, so he came here as quickly as possible. Rubbing her sore wrist, Lucilia continued to play off the crowd's emotions and decided to use Karnage. "You see, sir Head Magician? I am not alone. I do not stand amongst people and think that I am different from everyone else by virtue of birth, ability, or other status. Others see the same as well. And when they see injustice, they will act, no matter who is the perpetrator or who is the victim." The whole time Lucilia spoke coolly and without changing expression. It was as though the entire situation meant nothing to her, as her face never changed from her indifferent appearance. It never changed, not even hen she saw the child being kicked around, when she was confronted by the Head Magician, or when he grabbed her. Karnage, on the other hand, stood between the stranger and his master, his facial expression hidden behind his mask. But his eyes held such an angry glare cause by multiple reasons, but it was not a blind rage, but a tranquil fury.
