Surge is known for carrying around a duel action XIS-Double Barreled shotgun at first glance it might just look like a hunting rifle but the Major has had that same weapon for several years and he has mad several modifications to it.
His first modification was the way ammo was inserted into the gun. A normal double barrel opens at the front to put in shells, but Surge modified it so that shells could be loaded into special clip casings and then inserted into the top of the shotgun where the shells are dispersed as they are are ejected, two more will be pulled down into the barrel of the rifle after every shot is fired.
His second modification was building in a duel band AGOC scope that can pop in and out of the rifle. For those of you who don't know what a duel band AGOC is its a scope that reads body temperatures and lights them up light an orange light, especially useful at night when its to dark to see your enemy but can be used during the day in the light as well.
Sergei's last significant modification was to add in a select fire trigger which switches between spray mode an direct fire mode. To explain the gun was modified so that the user was capable of spraying multiple targets as shots gun do, or if in direct fire mode a mechanism in the gun constricts the barrel and forces the pellets from the shell to fire in a direct line as apposed to spray ratio.
General Personality:
Surge is not easy to get along with in no way. Whenever anyone attempts to make conversation with him he blows you off quick. Surge always have an angry personality and does not tend to get along well with other marines. He is an old school type of soldier and demands respect, even though he gives none. He expects you to follow orders and to carry them out or as he says he will just shoot you for insubordination. Surge for the most part is rather secluded most of the time, an when off duty he is in the training facilities punching bags and or walls whatever makes it work better. One of his only redeemable qualities is he is a massive strategist and he had one of the best military minds of his time. But whatever good qualities he has is drowned out by the fact that he is always angry and never wanting to be around others. If he is on duty he is a professional all the way, works with whoever he has to, off duty he would blow you off in a heart beat to be alone. However mean he can be he is also loyal, and dedicated, he would not leave a soldier even if he does hate them for that isn't who he is. No one has ever cracked his tough outer shell before so no one knows the real man.
General History:
This has been the talk of the mess hall for as long as Surge could remember, everyone always trying to figure out who he is or where he came from. For as long as any Marine could remember Surge has been in the UAC Corporations Military Detail from the moment they arrived. He is the Commanding Officer of the base and is the one who over see's all military operations on Mars, Phobo's, and Demios. Some say he comes from a long line of military men and woman from with in his family, some say he came up from hell to make their lives a living hell, no matter the rumor no one has ever truly figured out where Surge is from, if he has family, even if he is married to any one or has children. All anyone really knows about the Majoor is he is hard ass who expects you to do your job as appointed and to not fuck up. Another known fact is Surge us a heavy drinker sometimes when he has extended leave of his command, an in some drunk instances he has talked about a Marine, a marine who died long ago back on earth, most of it is mottled an Surge will pass out before he says to much but everyone imagines that Surge had a dramatic experience and that's why he came to Mars and has been here for as long as he has.
