Okay, so for the past two years, I've been writing a novel. I can't even count the number of times I have looked at it and thought "This is complete crap." Well finally, I have come up with something that fits my standards. In fact, my rough draft of it is almost done. Of course, it has a long ways to go, but I'm still proud of myself.

Ugh, I'm no good at summaries but I'll do my best. It's about an organization called the ISF(Idris Special Forces) which works as a sort of police force for the multiverse. And they have a couple of Spec. Ops divisions, one of which being Team Excalibur. This story is mostly focused on Team Excalibur, which is composed of beings with powers and the such. A squad of them, lead by a elf named Jacob, is sent out to find some magic books, along the way finding out about his past. His whole life up to the ISF had been blanked out for him, and right now I'm at the part where it explains why.
Of course, there is a lot more to it then that. But like I said, I suck at summaries. And yes, some parts of it sounds cliche.
It does sound a little odd at points, but I certainly see the potential for something awesome in this. (: Keep working on it brah.
...Reminds me of a concept for a fantasy story I've been thinking of for a few years now... I think we all have stories like that, but few ever see the light of day. Mine probably involves too many turtles and snakes.
Fantasy concept about three deities- The World Turtle, a many-named serpent god of life (Rainbow Snake, Ourobouros, Jormungandr, Earth Serpent etc.), and a formless nameless eldritch being that serves as a kind of steersman to guide the World Turtle through the Cosmic Sea. The snake and the steersman have a conflict, and the story follows a renegade mercenary and an outlawed battle mage thousands of years afterwards. The idea is that the further they go to escape the grasp of their 'modern' world, the more tangled they get in the lingering legacy of the divine war. So yes, way too many reptiles and reptile references.
