I made my sig image to spec according to what the size limits are here on teh Guild.

There are numerous people out there with sigs much larger than mine.

It's been up for a while, and not a single mod has changed it.

Why is Kadeux messing with me? I mean, I know I'm calling him out on B.S., but cmon. This is just a bit ridiculous.

So, here goes...

There has never been a "Specific" limit to Signature sizes. There have been, you know.. 'ideal sizes' and such, but no real definite size. We go with our gut on what is too big. If it is overall obnoxious, it might be too big. Just as long as it's a decent size that isn't overbearing... cause it drives people nuts when it is too big and covers most of the page. Personally, I've not been one to care too much about it. O.o Your signature takes pretty much all my page when I scroll over it, which yes... comes to a point where it needs to be cut down some. Specially when you post a lot in a certain thread and suddenly people find it lagging the page. X.X This goes into why it might not be noticed and acted on a lot of times by mods. Me, myself... rarely pay any notice to it. I try to keep an eye out just in case, but usually when it is taken down, is because it was reported. We see that and like.. ok.. yes.. that is probably a bit too obnoxious and big. So.. -clip-. Also, keep in mind, when we do look at signature sizes, it also includes any random words in your signature too. Words, links, images, whatever is IN your signature. So... just because the image is small, there might be tons of words in it that makes people's eyes bleed, specially when they are trying to focus on something else. (I.e. The Conversation in spam, or the story going on in an RP---but whoops! Here comes this huge signature that distracts from it.!) So, yea... in short... it wouldn't hurt to cut down your signature some, which is why Kad is getting on to you.

That was never really a restriction for signatures specifically, just images in general. (I do wonder when they're bringing that back, though. I liked having small images that you could enlarge if you want.)

Besides, I personally think that's kind of large for a sig, anyway. Never really considered it "signature size".

Had I know that 650/450 wasn't the right size, I'd have resized it. Was just going with what I was given.

Actually... It was 600x450

600 being the limit on WIDTH, because at that point in the old format, it would give it the little bar up top... which we often used as kind of a guide, unless of course the signature was just too overbearing. And 450 on height for the same reason. And that was JUST for the image, assuming you have no words in your signature as well. O.o Of course, under the old format.
