• Please note that I am borrowing heavily from the Persona series. By no means is this a remake, or a canon world. Laws that exist in Persona may be overturned or removed completely from this RP at GM discretion.

Stats increase weekly based on a players activity. While subject to change the system for now will be.
4 or Less: Minus one stat
5: No change to stats
6 or More: Plus one stat.
*Bonus stats will be offered based on player involvement and character development.
Stock Points: When points are awarded they will be placed as stock points, which can then be used to increase a characters affinity in an element. Once used Stock points are lost forever.

Combat: The victor of a battle is determined by the higher stat.
For example; Fire 5 will always beat Fire 3. Enemies will be displayed as the following when they appear;

JackFrost (Ice 3)
Weakness: Fire

The above means that to defeat a Jackfrost a player would need either;
4 or more aptitude in Ice.
Or
3 or more aptitude in Fire to defeat this enemy.
Players who have neither are encouraged to try outsmarting the system with creative posts.

Character Name: Miyako Tachibana
Gender: Female

Information: Miyako was born as a result of an affair between her mother and a wealthy businessman named Soichiro Tachibana. Unexpectedly, her mother discovered that her lover would not leave his wife for her. Overwhelmed with despair, she left her newborn baby at his doorstep, never to be seen again. The man lovingly adopted the infant, naming her Miyako after her mother and raising her as his own. His wife, who was infertile, thought her family was blessed to receive such a beautiful child, and believed the girl to be a gift from the gods, unaware of the baby's true origin.

Despite growing up in a rich family, Miyako was a thoughtful and modest child. She jumped from various hobbies to the next, eventually settling on painting. Still, she always had a sense of not belonging. She could not see any real resemblance between her "mother" and herself. When she became older, her mother tended to avoid questions about her pregnancy, and changed the subject about how Miyako's hair was such a vibrant color compared to the shades of black her parents had. Because of these doubts, Miyako developed a constant fear that people were insincere and deceitful with her, and that she was "misplaced" in the world. Over time, her paintings became more somber and ominous in their imagery, and she found that it was a way for her to escape from the world's expectations of her. This hobby concerned her parents, who urged her away from such an "ordinary" skill. While she continued to paint, she feigned interest in other things as well, and obediently acted the part of a wealthy family's daughter.

In school, she has above-average grades, but she is not known for her intellect. Instead, people often focus on her looks, or her family's money and extravagant home. Regardless, Miyako has a few friends whom she treats with respect and kindness, including Yomi Amano. Like Yomi, she is well-liked by male students, but her doubtfulness about their intentions leads her to believe they are only after her social status. Instead, she can be quite envious of Yomi on occasion, due to the belief that boys liked Yomi for who she is, not what she has. She is also very sensitive, and her feelings are easily hurt. She finds it emotionally difficult to hide who she really is, especially since she doesn't seem to know who she really is.

Against her parents' wishes, Miyako is a member of the school's Art Club, but she compromised by joining the more reputable Archery Club as well. Luckily, the two clubs meet on different days; As a result, Miyako is occupied for a few hours after school every day.

Character Name: Daisuke Nagaharu
Age: male, 18

Information: Having lost his mother at sixteen, when she gave birth to his little bother Haruko. And having always been a person who takes care of his problems by himself, he quit school and took up the responsibility of caring for the child. Daisuke worked several jobs at once, leaving Haruko in the care of reliable neighbors, whom he would compensate for their time. However, when Shinjuku was hit with a severe recession when he was eighteen, he lost work and was eventually forced to move in with his aunt Tsukikou for finacial support, at least until he got on his feet. However, she insisted he return to his studies, and having no solid argument at the time, he complied. Although, he managed to take a part time job in construction.

Over the two years since his mother's passing, the old hormonally crazed, skirt chasing Daisuke has calmed down in order to balance work and school. Rarely, if ever going out to just enjoy himself and even then he is usually forced. He hopes that when he has saved enough money, he can take Haruko and start over in Hokkaido, where the work is plentiful and the environment is better for a child's growth. It is apparent that he cares deeply for his loved ones, especially his younger brother, whom he sees more as a son than a brother due to the circumstances.

Despite being admired by quite a few of the school faculty and older students, because of the actions he took after his mother's passing, Daisuke simply takes their praises in stride and suggestions into consideration. While in school, he works diligently and focuses on the tasks at hand, this persistent behavior has helped him to rank in the top one hundred students of the school, averaging at number seventy-five.

Character Name: Zeke Ericcson

Age: 18

Information: Zeke Ericcson is Yomi Amano's rather violent second cousin. Growing up, the young boy was unfortunately victim to parent's who believed in giving their children complete freedom in an effort to become friends rather than guardians. This meant that when Zeke would throw temper tantrums as a child, his parents would often give in to his demands and satisfy the boy with whatever he seemed to be throwing a fit over. Rather than become a spoiled brat though, Zeke's developing temper continued to grow at a steady rate and worsen over that time. When he turned thirteen, Zeke joined a local, small-time street gang calling themselves the Kagurazaka Breakers. Like most misguided youth, their main goal was to acquire territory and become the number one gang in the city. Unlike most delinquents however, these boys regularly attended school. Their origins stemmed from Kagura Middle School and it was at this site that they had gained their infamy. Due to Zeke's violent nature, he quickly became close with his comrades as they attended school and made sure to get into every physical altercation possible. While he was reprimanded several times for these actions, the principal took a strange interest in the boy, seeing his budding personality for what it really was; a child with no direction, acting out.

Over the years, the principal, Koji Takamura, counseled Zeke even as he continued to participate in gang activities. When Zeke finally entered Kagura high as a first year, the Breakers were disbanded. The other members grew out of their mischievous phase and most had gone, moving to other cities. Without this pseudo family, Zeke was forced to once again endure the neglect his parents forced upon him in their lack of actual parenting and structure. To once again ignore the fact that he couldn't really expect anything more at home, Zeke became the resident delinquent at Kagura High. He built a reputation for fighting, being harsh with his words, and becoming a generally unapproachable person. Though the teen wasn't a loner, his outer demeanor scared off, or dismissed, anybody who thought about speaking with him about anything. It was a lonely time for Zeke, until he was talked into joining the Kagura High wrestling team by their coach. Just like anyone else, the man knew of Zeke's aggresion, but knew he could direct it in a positive way if the teen was willing to cooperate. Faking an uninterested attitude, Zeke "reluctantly" accepted the coach's proposition and joined the wrestling team.

Though his grades are not the best due to the fact that high intelligence has never been his strong point, Zeke has a natural affinity for athletics and athletic activity. His physical prowess is above average for an eighteen year old, and fear is not a concept he is very familiar with. When it comes to girls, Zeke has never been the ladies man. Contrary to popular belief, girls did not fall for the bad boy type of male and most of them avoided Zeke fearing his aggressive nature or simply criticizing his rough looks. Truth be told, Zeke is interested in girls, but usually realizes he doesn't have a chance with any of them. Besides that, his blunt and abrasive expression comes off in the wrong way when trying to speak "nicely" to a woman. Really, the only girl he has ever associated with his Yomi Amano because the two are family of sorts, but he's not even sure of her opinion of him. Not that he would particularly care in the first place or anything.

At the end of the day, Zeke is a misguided teen who really wants and appreciates the boundaries, structure, and authority. His wayward behavior results in violence and aggression because he resents his parents who seem to only fruitlessly try to impress him with just how "cool" and "loose" they can be when in reality, Zeke just wants normal parents who actually care enough about him to put their foot down. At eighteen years old though, Zeke has all but given up on this dream and instead has fully embraced his delinquent ways and his infamous reputation. Wrestling at Kagura High is the only real positive in his life, though he yearns for something more; though that something has no real shape or form in his mind yet.

Character Name: Tomoko Akechi
Age: Female 17
Weapon Choice: Leg greaves
Information: Tomoko is an only child born and raised in a modest, average income family, whose parents were often busy toiling day to day to make ends meet. With both of her parents rarely about, Tomoko was often left in the care of her uncle, a struggling manga artist currently being serialised in one of the weekly publications. It was there that Tomoko fell in love with the idea of art and creating manga in particular, being influenced by her uncle to want to follow in his profession. Being nearly essentially raised by her uncle, she inherited many of his quirks and love for more male oriented entertainment, such as shonen manga, video games, martial arts movies etc. To the detriment of her studies, Tomoko could be often found spending most of her class time either reading manga or drawing it then focusing on more important subjects. These were all far more interesting to Tomoko than the ‘girly’ interests her peers at school would share, and they would often ostracise her and subject her within her first year to frequent bullying at school by the other girls.

When joining Kagura High in her first year, Tomoko tried out for the track club, not expecting to be particularly interested or good at it but discovered an aptitude for it, hailing as one of the team’s fastest long-distance runners. This led to further bullying by other girls in the teams, who shunned her for what they believed was an attempt to make them look bad. This bullying would have continued on, to Tomoko’s detriment, until one day where she found an unlikely supporter in Yomi, who stood up for Tomoko and defended her against her bullies when no one else would help. Whilst Yomi may not understand how much of a positive effect her actions on that one random day had, for Tomoko it felt like a life changing moment for her and her high school life. Tomoko has deep respect and growing affection for Yomi since then, and secretly, a lot of the drawings in her sketchbook often feature Yomi, whom Tomoko sees as the ideal heroine for her manga.

Tomoko’s parents don’t approve of her desire to be a mangaka or her interest in sports and wish for her to focus on her studies and attain what they see as a ‘proper’ career. Tomoko spends what free time she has available either exercising by running around the school track, outside throughout the town’s countryside, or being at her uncle’s and working as an impromptu assistant on his manga. Tomoko also spends the occasional time here and there at the school’s art club, although her uncle insists he’d be a better teacher and that the club wouldn’t teach Tomoko the most important aspects of manga: manly emotions, battles and sexy heroines. To her detriment, Tomoko saw a ‘growth spurt’ inbetween her first and second years of high school. Whilst she considers it impractical and a burden, getting in the way of her running and again making many girls at the school jealous and spiteful towards her, the boys and her uncle consider it a vast improvement.

Character Name: Ryuuji Shindou
Age: Male 17
Weapon Choice: Katana
Information: Kagurazaka was originally founded by the great three families, Amano, Shindou and Takahara. The three families once worked in unison for the good of the village, but as centuries flowed by, a rivalry began developing against the Shindou which strived to uphold traditional values, whereas the Takahara were eager to adapt and change to the times, the result was predictable. The Takahara and Shindou remain at odds even now as the Mayor of the city, and the village chief. A split right down the middle of Kagurazaka which has existed for as long as anyone can remember.

Ryuuji wasn’t born in a hospital like most infants, his grandfather refused to let his mother go, citing how the flashy local hospital was owned by his archnemesis, it was with much trouble that Ryuuji entered the world, though despite the troubles his parents believed it to be well worth it. Not only was Ryuuji difficult to birth, but also difficult to raise, as a child he took an interest in nearly anything from chasing butterflies to staring at chunky textbooks he couldn’t possibly comprehend. Nothing really stuck though as Ryuuji had a habit of losing interest as quickly as it came. One moment he’d be infatuated with an idea, and the next he’d be discarding it as worthless.

One thing that did stick to him though was Kendo, it wasn’t so much that Ryuuji had taken a special interest in it as it was his grandfather’s persistence in him continuing the sport. While his grandfather hoped to disclipline him and teach him self-control by treating Ryuuji strictly, Ryuuji saw it in a completely different light, delighting himself in the possibility of smacking his noisy grandfather around. Despite having trained with his grandfather for well over a decade Ryuuji has still yet to even land one blow on his grandfather who constantly scolds him for his lack of progress. The biggest flaw with Ryuuji’s Kendo is that he can’t focus and follow the principles laid before him. He wants to do everything his own way, regardless of whether it works or not. In fact he’ll intentionally go out of his way to try new things which only serves to infuriate his traditionalist rigid grandfather further.

His curiosity and playfulness carried on to his teenage years, though it gradually shifted from objects and animals to people. Ryuuji isn’t malicious by nature, but has a habit of poking his nose into places it doesn’t belong. Conflict and trouble are simply a source of entertainment for him, and are things to be enjoyed, not solved. Additionally personal space is something unknown to him, and when informed about it, will childishly ask the individual if they’ve written their name on it. Materialistic by nature he doesn’t believe in things he can’t see (or doesn’t care to debate them). Due to his families lineage, his grandfather, and Yomi’s grandfather arranged for a political marriage between the two families, but Ryuuji doesn’t seem to fond of the idea, and has dated several other girls just annoy his grandfather. Ryuuji’s excuse for wearing an eyepatch is because it ‘looks cool.’ Though it’s unclear if that’s the sole reason since he firmly refuses to remove it under any circumstance.

Character Name: Kyosuke Himuro

Information: Information: Kyosuke grew up an only child in an affluent home. His father's work in the towns flourishing tourism business allowed his family an easy life. As a child Kyosuke's mother had him partake in a plethora of activities that she found "gentlemanly". The activities ranging from fencing to polite conversation lessons. Doing all that his mother wanted left the boy a courteous gentleman, but a bit weak willed with woman. As he did all that his mother asked, Kyosuke seemed to have a similar difficulty rejecting any request from females that was asked of him. Many times ending up finishing a classmate's project or helping find a lost dog. While he was like this with girls, his interactions with males were a bit different. Kyosuke is a bit full of himself, fancying himself the most attractive boy in his grade, if not his entire school. That and his fancy upbringing caused Kyosuke to think he was a bit above a lot of his male peers so he would occasionally dismiss their opinions. That aside he was generally like at school due to his politeness and general disposition. His close friends begin mostly those in the school's art club. Painting was Kyosuke greatest passion. Unlike other activities, he wasn't forced to paint, an instead did it of his own free will. He lived to create beauty on a canvas.

Kyosuke's relation to Yomi Amano was a bit odd. For many years the Himuro family visited the Amano Shrine inorder to give thanks to the gods for all the blessings they had received. During those many years he saw Yomi Amano around was of course nice to her but, the two never really took a liking to each other. Kyosuke's mother on the other had taken quite a liking to the girl. After the death of Yomi's grandfather, Kyosuke's mother was one of the many people who wished to adopt the girl but, unlike most people she didn't really take no for an answer. Kyosuke being an only child, his mother had always wanted a daughter. Every once in a while, Kyosuke would tasked with asking Yomi to join his family and bring along what ever gift/bribe his mother had gotten to for the girl.

Let me also be the first to say, I've genuinely enjoyed each post I've read so far. Each character seems pretty distinct in personality so far and that's always a plus. Looks like I've stumbled into a good group. Let's continue to write impressive pieces; I look forward to getting engrossed in this story with everybody .
