Hey Guys, this is a an rp I have made due to the fact an rp I joined never got past the OOC stage. And there were really interesting characters that were well thought out. This role play is to do with a band of five high school drop-outs who have all been good friends since a young age, this role play will follow their story through the beginnings of becoming legends and follow them through tough times such as loss of family or drug addictions.

I want this Role-play to be emotional and as true to real life issues as possible including as much depth as possible.

The style of this rock/punk/post-hardcore band will be very close to Paramore and a day to remember.

Personality: A very sarcastic joker. Drake loves to have fun and is known to be crazy on and off the stage. He doesn't consider himself hyper but others would probably disagree. He loves his music and everything about it. And on occasions is known to drink a bit too much. Drake likes to consider himself a ladies man. Drake believes that on stage you need to give your all no matter what. You get on that stage and when you come off you better be about to pass out. As make as he may like to pull the occasional prank he isn't to fond of having one pulled on him. He enjoys playing his guitar almost as much a women. As a matter of fact a few people believe he loves the guitars more. He loves to tinker with things which is partly why he is so good at repairing things. As much as he loves america and all of it's music he usually has a British flag somewhere on his cloths. And even though he plays guitar in the band sometimes he likes to take his violin out and play it a bit.
History/Background: Drake grew up in Britain till he about the age of 10. His parents were big music enthusiasts. His Father was a classical guitarist and his mother a violinist. So as a child he grew up around it all the time. As a child the minute he could hold an instrument he was taught to play. After a few years he knew how to play both but ultimately decided on electric guitar. Something about it just struck his interest. He liked the way it sounded and all the things about that were different then his father's classical guitars. Then one day after a few years his parents ultimately decided to move to the states for business reasons. When he got there they decided to put him in a public school. Keep in mind he was used to private schools in Britain. When he arrived he found a few people that listened to rock music. Something about struck his interest and he started listening to all the different genres. After a while he went from his preppy cloths and started wearing leather jackets and studded belts. Then after a few more years he eventually dyed his hair the iconic red color it is now. After he graduated high school he got a few tattoos. Then he got real bad for a few years when he started to drink. He had smoked since high school but drinking was usually not something he did. He drink alcohol like it was nobodies business often blacking out a few times. Then finally he had to go home too his parents and get straight again. He knew he needed to do something besides just party. He needed a band and he needed one bad. It would give him something to do and allow him to live a long life dream of his. So he went out and bought his dream rig a white customized Les Paul he has dubbed Pansy, and his rack of Orange amps.

Personality: May's On Stage and Off Stage Personas differ greatly, on stage she is a wild child, a wreckless and crazed torrent of energy, easily able to steal the spotlight from any other member of the band, but only enough to ensure she's never just " the Bass Player." Flaming amps and stage diving are nothing unusual for any night May is on stage. Off Stage May is a completely different person, very quiet and reserved, often spending hours alone reading a book, or writing music. She may not be the hard living partier that the rest of the band is, but she's always shown she can hold her own when the party starts, able to drink more than her small stature should allow, though its a rare occasion she goes that far. She usually ends up as the calm, relaxed, voice of reason between other band members and occasionally the deciding factor when discussions start to become arguments. Quiet and introverted she may be, don't ever let her quiet demeaner and small stature fool you, May will always stand up for what she believes in and is extremely loyal to her friends.


History/Background: May was born in Nakano, Japan, a prefecture of Tokyo, her mother Ishi, owned a restaurant and her father, Hatori worked for a shipping company. May's family was not rich, but they did their best to give her everything she needed, and most everything she wanted, While maintaing a strict household. When May was 4 she was diagnosed with a severe case of Bilateral Retinoblastoma, almost dying twice before she was left completely blind. By the time she was 6, May was already fascinated with music and set out to learn to play it. Her parents paid for and pushed her through,professional lessons in both Piano and Cello, both of Which May took to instantly, but nothing was ever good enough for her parents. When May was 12, a position became available at a music school for the blind in America, so her family moved so that she could get an even better education. May used her time there well, but switched to a regular high school when she was 14. By the time May became a teenager, she was already beginning to rebel against her strict upbringing, she was getting straight A's, she was a brilliant Musician playing Piano, Cello, Violin, and Flute,but there was something missing in her life, something she had been craving for awhile, Rock and Roll. The Music, the Lifestyle, the environment, it was calling to her. May's parents of course did not approve of such music, and continued to push May into good grades and classical music. When some of her friends started a band, May was very supportive, always in the front row of every show, quite often having to sneak out to do it, and suffering the ramifications when she got home. May helped out her friends however she could, setting up equipment, cleaning up, holding the singer's hair back on numerous occasions, while they prayed to the porcelain god. but after 3 failed bass players, May took initiative. 2 Months of rigorous practice later, and May had not only learned a new instrument, but had memorized the bands fledgling song list. When the 4th bassist left the band in a fit of dickish anger, right before a huge show, May stepped on stage for the first time. She was nervous, she'd never performed live with this little practice, but that didn't last long, the show was flawless, the crowd was rocked, the club was in shambles,and a new era of Epicness that is Genesis of Despair was born.

Personality: Leon has a cold demeanor about him that makes him appear as unapproachable at times. However when he gets on stage another part of him takes over. He has a magnatismic stage presence that draws people in. In his own way he makes you feel as though he may bring you to the dark side of the veil. And just when you thing the the darkness is never ending, he'll show you true enlightenment.

History/Background: Leon grew up in the cold hard Seattle streets. His parents passed on at a young age, and he became homeless at the age of fifteen. He developed a lifestyle solely going from concert to concert and living the nomadic life. Music soon became his sole refuge, and he vowed to master it after he was given his first guitar. Many different band members came in and out of his life. Some going big, and others crumbling away. But all of them leaving him advice on how to become better.

Just as Leon learned many instruments and styles, He also joined many bands throughout his years on the music scene. His last band Nightmares Of The Fallen actually gained moderate success with him as lead vocals. But after their guitarist and drummer died in a fatal car accident, the band split up and went their own seperate ways.

Leon left his seattle home in search of a new band. He knew he would have to start from scratch, but after tasting the sweet fruit of success, he knew he must have it again. Using his connections throughout the music industry, and his credit on the street, Leon knew he had the means to form the ultimate band.

Likes: Guitar, poetry, Wicca, paganism, Darkness, light, love, hatred, and all of the abstract world, he also enjoys all mannerisms of music.

Dislikes: He doesnt dislike anything especially. Except closed mindedness and bigotry.

Unique traits: He has both arms fully covered in tattoos. One is a cluster of pagan runes and a pentacle across his right arm. His left arm is identical to Scars from full metal alchemist.

Personality: Marshall is very uncaring, and nonchalant, but at the same time, he's curious, and mysterious. To strangers, he's dull, quiet, and he refuses to talk, but if you catch him with his friends, he actually does seem to care. His uncaring attitude is influenced by a continuous stream of nightmares he has almos every night, and sometimes he has delusions while he's awake. Marshall likes music, but he prefers to make music than listen to it. Though Marshall isn't usually one to drink, he becomes the corniest guy on the face of the planet if drunk; while he doesn't drink, Marshall does love his cigarettes. Unlike Drake, Marshall finds girls too complicated, though if presented a good opportunity, he will flirt a little. Due to his uncaring nature, Marshall is a follower, but if he decides to do something, he will do it, no matter how many people he has to bring down with him. Marshall does like to cook some, but his true love is a good pool game.
History: Marshall was born in America, but when his parents died in a car crash when he was 5, he was sent to live with his uncle in Romania. His uncle was a vodka-maker, and in his drunk stupors, would sometimes beat Marshall senseless. Since Marshall was young, and couldn't stand up to his uncle, he developed anger management. When he was 11, some of Marshall's relatives from the states sent him his first drum set. Compelled by his ability to actually hit something, and it not hit back, Marshall started playing to help him with anger issues. as soon as he could, Marshall fled to the states to get away from his uncle, and he went to a cousin's house. He went to public school, but always wore leather, black, skulls, boots, and he kept a pair of drumsticks tucked in his back pocket. When he was 14, he started smoking. At 15, he tried alcohol; hated it, and he was determined not to turn into his uncle.

Personality: Eliza is loud and proud, but she can speak normal.. when she has to. She is sometimes and outspoken person, she speaks whatever is on her mind, even though it hurts someone's feeling or not she dosen't really cares. But Elizabeth is sweet, and friendly. Sometimes she is ditzy and clumsy. She is respectful at the people who NEEDS the respect, not just some idiot who tries to get respect. She is very careful at what she does, she thinks before she acts. She is also a very hard worker and very brave. Eliza is always paying attention at what she does, because basiclly she is alwaya on point. Eli is very focused and detailed and also Organizes, she loves to keep her stuff and songs organized sometimes she put it by alphabeticle order. Elizabeth isn't mean nor nice.. but if you do mess with her or anything.. you will get punched. BUT! If your all nice and sweet with her, your a check plus on her list. Eli likes people who just be themselves, not being some .. fake person, she hates all people who are like that, that would be a check minus in her list.

History/Background: Elizabeth was just a little girl. Her mother died. Her father a drug attict. So she was living with her grandmother, since little. But she had a decent life, she went to school had friends and all. Her Grandmother was a very hard worker. She owned a music store, Eliza always liked music and she always loved how her grandmother took her everyday. Especially this one time.. Eli thought there was no one in the store, she walked to a piano and began to play while also..singing. Her Grandmother cried when she heard her singing. Eli never knew, she was THAT good of a singer. Maybe because she WAS, her only grand-daughter maybe thats why she cried? Her Grandmother told her, that she had a beautiful voice and that she couldn't waste it up or give it up.

Years later as Eliza was growing up, she has been going to highschool and what not, on her teen years she had fun with her friends and became very popular. She even joined on the church chorus, that herself and her grandmother always went on sundays. It was all fun moments. But Eliza wanted to do something different.. something fun, free and herself.. a band. Yes, a band.
