    Mekhai

Mekhai perked up as he heard the angel's words, turning back to face her slowly, the red starting to fade from his cheeks. Good...so he hadn't made a complete fool of himself, just mostly. "I suppose so..." he said softly, a faint smile creeping across his features as Ayane sought to reassure him. Well, it had worked. Slipping back to the angel's side, unable to resist the allure of a creature so...taboo, he reached down and gently took her hand between his, fearing he would break it if he held it too tightly before focusing back on the path that lead to home. After taking a winding path with the occasional wary glance over his shoulder, eventually the two came upon a simple house with a wooden fence surrounding the exterior. He opened the latch before resting his back against the fence's "door", waiting for Ayane to pass through it first.

    Ayane

Ayane closed her eyes and let him lead her, trusting the stranger she had just met. Her feet burned as she walked, and she was forced to open her eyes. She stared down at the floor, and clutched his callused hand. She looked up as he stopped, and examined the open gate, curiously running her fingers over the wood. She winced as she took a step in to the open door way, but refused to let his hand go. Her hair drifted into her face, damaging her eyes sight. She sighed softly, and continued to walk. Halfway to the the next door, she tripped, sucking in her breath and letting his hand go. Her arms immediately moved up, covering her chest and face, as she prepared for the impact of the ground.
Being dyslexic has been hard for me, but now, I am starting to break through its barrier.
