I know this sounds crazy, but stay with me on this one. But fist, don’t take this seriously. This is just a whole bunch of “what if” situations. So, let’s say Christianity is not a myth, but in fact truth. So there’s this bearded man in the sky called God. He created the angels, and the main one was this dude named Lucifer. You know, Satan. That boogie-man that lurks in the night and temps people with evil thoughts. Here’s a question…
Why is he so bad?
“Because he’s just evil!” Some people may tell you. Apparently the guy and a whole group of angels were thrown out of heaven for rebelling against God. He must have had a reason for doing so though. Maybe he didn’t agree with some of the ideals that God was coming up with. It makes sense. Rebellions pop up all over the world because of that.
Here’s why Lucifer might be seen as an evil figure. You know the old saying that the winners write the history books? So, the bible, that big book of history, that God influenced? Bingo.
Satan's rebellion includes giving unto man through trickery, the knowledge of good and evil. For this he is punished. If you look at the history of other angels giving mankind things, they're all punished too. Give mankind tools, weapons, and cosmetics? Punished. Give mankind awesome sex? Punished. etc
Uhm... Right... Well, you can justify everything by saying its religion... And your religion tends to dictate your morals... So, for many, satanism isn't... you know, bad.
At least, until you start sacrificing the neighborhood strays. Then there's.. kinda something off.

Except Satanism isn't an actual religion. It was invented by some chap named Anton LaVey in the 60s.
Pulled into war to serve a vision;
That's supposed to last a thousand years.
Part of a machine;
Unstoppable, as merciless as tidal waves.
