I think the problem here is that no one knows what the story is about. Usually people come in, read a bit of the story, get the idea of how things are going to work out, and then eventually submit a profile. The whole PM system thing is probably what's driving people away, since they don't know what the story is and won't want to get into anything they don't know about. And reading the IC it only explains a little bit of the setting. That fact that you put this RP in the Advance section of the RPGuild also sets a standard (i.e. High) expectation of an RP; this Rp doesn't exactly fit that standard, not by what is seen through the OOC.

While I understand those reservations. I came from a place where I used to flesh out every detail of the world, cities, religions, how everything worked and why. Spent forever on it. More often then not going far above what was expected of me. And that turned people off because they wanted more input on the world.

Then of course I tried building roleplays in that way on the next site I travelled to and got made fun of because too much "plot" is nonsense. People said they don't like knowing what is going to happen, they want the world to build itself.

Here, I of course didn't know what to expect. Cruising around on this site I have seen "Advanced" roleplays go either way. I didn't want to put the mass effort into something only to get shunned for getting too excited.

The PM system is a way for me to have Ideas about the world without them being concrete and so that I can bend them around the desires of the other roleplayers.

I dunno. I could be wrong.

I still don't understand what he means by it not being advanced... Because he didn't flair up the ooc page? Or he didn't add nonsense like needing a character sheet. I am sorry some of us do not need that kind of trash to make a good story. And if you actually read the posts again there is enough setting to go off of and join the rp. There is even ample space to join the rp with no issue. And honestly there aren't even set rules to hold anyone back. And how is it his fault if people can't pm and ask him how to flush in with the rp... I don't understand this comment at all. Especially by your thought of what advanced means... I am pretty definite it is based on writing skill and not high expectations or we would see a lot of one liners or casual rpers in there who like to speed post through a... "Plot"... Since in my opinion that is not writing a story... So yeah. Not sure what you mean by saying and or classifying him as "non" advanced. Kinda irritates me to even see that up there. No one comes by your oocs and says your casual/free rps should go into the vasts open space void because they might be shite... But just saying of course, haha... Since I am probably a "non" advanced as well because I like in nonsensical flair of a ooc page...

"Be cool like the Fonz!" - It is one of the only rules and you just failed out following it by bashing on his rp and his ooc. Not cool...

The age old debate of Too Much Info Vs Too Little Info.
Most GM's on the guild try to find the happy medium between the two, enough info in the OOC's first post to hook interested parties with more detail either in hiders, other threads or sent through PMs.
Going by what's in the IC I don't see a reason this shouldn't be in advanced, but adding a few key details to the OOC might help your join rates a bit.

Constructive criticism is not a violation of Fonz Cool and is certainly not Bashing his RP or OOC.
