    Powder {Another World} {AnastasiaDemure/Suspect}

    The city was buzzing with energy. Even as it was late in the night. People hurried up and down the paved sidewalks that seemed to be slightly iridescent. The buildings seemed to touch the stars above. Vehicles no longer drove on the ground, the were up in the air above the crowds of trash on the streets. People had only grown stranger. Everything had changed. They dressed in outrageous manners. Flashy and lavish.

    A young woman walked slowly down one of the paved walkways. There was a black fabric covering her eyes. This making it obvious that the woman was blind. Her cloths consisted of leathers, lace, and silk. Random pieces of jewelry littered her arms and head. As she walked her movements were soft and fluid. Every step she took graceful. Her skin was pale like moonlight, long raven locks falling to her mid back in soft curls. Her eyes were a bright green, though were at that moment concealed by the black fabric that she had wrapped over her eyes in a bandage like fashion.

    In her left hand she held an ornate cane. Well crafted, being obvious at first glance. On her back was strapped two blades. It seemed everyone these days was armed. Even the blind woman who looked to be about 19 or 20 years old. The womans name was Amalthea Vera Demure. She was heir to the Demure fortune and company which crafted state of the art weaponry.

    The woman headed down an alley way, a short cut on her way home. Even though she was blind you wouldn't know. As she walked down the alley way she heard a commotion behind a large dumpster. Amalthea stopped in her tracks. Tilting her head to one side listening for any other sounds.

    She didn't need to see him to know he was there. She felt it, Amalthea could feel him there. But why was this person hiding out in this filthy alley way. Amalthea slowly approached the dumpster. Keeping silent, at first.

    "Who's there?" She asked, her voice was soft and smooth, like that of silk. "Come out from there and show yourself, unless you'd prefer I'd come drag you out..."

    Her voice was filled with warning. There was not even a twinge of fear in her voice as she spoke to the unseen being that hid from sight. "I will kill you without hesitation,if you give me any reason to... Now get out from there!" she said sternly as she lifted her cane, hitting a button on the side of it causing a blade to spring out from the bottom of it.

    It was then that Amalthea sensed something all too familiar. Fear. A deep fear. But why was the being afraid of her? She was blind and could easily be taken down if they were strong enough. After all, she could not see them at all. There could have been no better advantage.

    Amalthea lowered her cane before cautiously going to the side of the dumpster. Crouching down, "Why are you hiding back there?" she said in a hushed voice, "Come on.... It's okay...." she said reaching out a hand towards the person who was hidden by shadows. "I wont hurt you.... I promise.... Do you need help?" she tilted her head to the side as strands of her hair fell into her face. She knew she could not force him out, so she figured she'd try the softer approach. Only hoping to receive some sort of reply.

    This is what she looks like with out the blind fold.

    This is her clothing.

    These are her blades.

    This is her cane.

    (( Sorry if this sucks, got distracted. ))

    Behind a dumpster in the alley is where he laid. He remembers nothing but being struck by lightening in a open field then after that nothing. He just wanted to get away from the reality, he wanted people to stop picking on him, his skin, clothing and weird appearance all together. He laid there, rummaging through the dumpster, to find food. After all, he didn't know no better. But this world was different to him. Where was the people he met before? Where his so called friends? He looked down towards the ground with a sigh, then his eyes looked at the busy streets, which was filled with people talking and vehicles riding by.

    His ears twitched when he heard a voice and a cane hitting the ground. With one swift movement, he was back around the dumpster, hiding behind it. His body shivered, his knees was up to his chest.

    When he saw her hand, he examined it before grabbing ahold of it then letting go quickly, because of a small zap. It was a little freaky. He then crawled from behind the dumpster, taking his hands and brushing himself off. He wore a small brown hat, with a black band, he wore no shirt but a gray looking blazer and he wore brown slacks along with black socks and shoes. He looked at her appearance then heard her as she introduce her name. "Jeremy." He said with a faint smile.

    He eventually let go of her hand and placed his hands inside of his pockets. He then made a slow walk towards the busy street...

    {No worries. Happens to me all the time. XD}

    Amalthea grinned as he stepped out from behind the dumpster, "Now that wasn't so hard was it?" she asked as she tilted her head. The zap from his hand had slightly startled her and she spoke again, "Well you are quite electric aren't you...?"

    Amalthea saighed softly running a hand through her long raven locks, "You aren't from around here... Are you?" she question as she pressed the release on her cane which caused the blade to disappear back into the cane. "You know, eating trash these days... It can kill yah..." she said as she laughed lightly. Amalthea is one who could never truly judge him by appearance. Her lack of sight made her a better judge of character.

    Amalthea thought for a few moments as she tapped the cane against the pavement below her feet. "So.... You need a hot meal and probably somewhere to sleep for a couple nights... These streets aren't safe... Fallow me.."

    Amalthea turned on her heal and begun to head down the alley way again, "So tell me... Where are you from stranger? You better watch out here, this city is full of wolves that look like people.. Lots of trash on these streets, and the police can't do a thing because there are just so many..."

    Amalthea smiled lightly as she walked along. She was an odd one. Amalthea was one to bring home strays and her father knew this, but he was gone a lot of the time anyways. Always busy with business. Amalthea pretty much did as she pleased. But her life was lonely. Most women her age these days were already married. But her handicap made her unappealing to men these days. Most birth defects had been fixed and treatable in the womb. But not Amaltheas. They had not even been able to detect that she would be born blind. Amaltheas father did not want to risk laser eye repair or transplant because she was not a healthy child. Amalthea, she didn't mind being blind. In some ways she felt she could see better than others when it came to people.

    Jeremy shook his head when Amalthea asked him if he was from around here or not. He rose a brow from her eating trash statement, he really wanted to throw up the little bit of trash he had eaten. He looked into her eyes then looked at her cane as he listened when she kept on talking, nodding in response. "I don't know where I am from exactly." He said, a little bit saddened. "Wolves?" He said as they were still walking, Jeremy was following her, so wherever she went, he went.

    "Amalthea..." He paused and gulped hard before asking his question. "Do you ever wish to see?" He grabbed her by the arm to stop her from going any further, then he would turn her body towards his.

    "Yes... Wolves... People here are like wolves... If you are not careful, they will eat you alive... " She said as she laughed a little, "Stick with me and you'll be safe."

    But when he had grabbed her arm and turned her around she furrowed her brows at his question. It almost appeared that his question had angered her slightly. "I do not need my eyes to see...." she said softly as she fixed the black fabric that covered her eyes, "I can see into the soul... On a level that no one else seems to understand.... Come on now... This is not the place to speak..." she said before grabbing a fire escape latter and begun to climb up it, " Come one Jeremy.... I want to take you to my secret spot..." she said with a smile before holding her hand out again to help him up once she had reached the top of the building.

    This was where her apartment was . The top of the building was large balcony area. You could see almost the whole city. A soft cold breeze blew a top the building. Behind her there were a pair of glass door where inside was her home. Amalthea waited for her new acquaintance, patiently as she stood with her hand out towards him. This Jeremy fellow was strange. No one had ever brought up her sight, not even her father when she'd ask about it. People here didn't talk about things like that. She was considered to be terribly deformed in the day of flawless people who had genetic engineering done to make them just so. But he was not like them. She could feel it, he was unlike anyone she had met before. He didn't seem to judge her because of her lack of sight either.

    Jeremy felt a little saddened when asking her that question. When he touched her upon her arms, he felt that she was angry but her response showed no such thing. When he heard her speaking about how she can look into the soul and what not. "So you have a special ability as well?" He asked her while reaching to grab her hand, grunting a little bit as they finally made it to the top of the building.

    He wrapped his arms around himself as the breeze blew through them. When her hand was outstretched towards him again, he grabbed it as they walked towards glass paned doors, which on the inside looked like a home. Maybe it was Amalthea's home, or maybe they were breaking in to someone else home. He didn't know nor care. He didn't belong in this world but it was going to be one hell of a ride, he could feel it.

    Amalthea held up a long chain that hung from her neck that held a key. Amalthea then unlocked to doors opening them slowly, releasing Jeremy's hand. "Yes I do... I can see better than anyone around me in my opinion. I ca't see peoples exteriors, But I can see what they really are inside. You are interesting, because I can't see you... At all... I mean I can tell you need help. And that you are afraid here... But that's it...." she said softly as she turned to face him. Her face being only inches from his at that moment. Amalthea lifted a hand as if she was going to touch his face. But instead she let her fingers hover just barely above his skin, "There is something about you.... You have abilities then?"

    Amalthea then turned and walked into the warmer home closing the doors behind them, locking them as well. "I didn't know there were others..." she said softly as she slowly sat down on a maroon colored couch. The home was very nice. It was easy to tell she was very financially stable. But she was blind, she must have had an important job. That's what you'd assume. But her money came from her father. Who took care of his 'disabled' daughter. She hated that word. It was disgusting. She took care of herself and could get places on her own. But still they used this word when people referred to her.

    Okay, they were not breaking into someone else home. It was Amalthea's. He could tell by the way she knew her way around the premise, plus she had a key. When she came closer to him, her hand hovering over his face, he shivered slightly as they were then in building, where it was much warmer than the outside. Jeremy nodded his head when she was speaking about her abilities as he stood there, with his hands placed in his pockets, his eyes scanning the area as he took a slow walk to look around.

    He then stopped and faced Amalthea as he raised a brow. "How did you know about my abilities? And there are others?" He asked while walking closer to her. It was someone odd. Jeremy did not indeed belong in this world. "And I don't need help." That anger him a little bit. A blind girl helping the freak. That's one for the history books.

    "Uhmm, where is your bathroom?" He asked softly. When she pointed it out to him, he nodded with a small thanks then went in. He ran the water and cuffed it into his hands, splashing it against his face as he then looks into the mirror. He shook his head, grabbing a nearby towel and dabbed the water off of his face. He then left the bathroom, seeing that her bedroom door was cracked open. He wanted to walk right in but he felt that if he did, she would be there to stop him. His eyes looked through the small crack, examining the room for a few minutes.

    Amalthea pointed out the restroom though she had not replied to his question. The woman could feel the anger rise within the man when she had told him she could possibly help him. She felt badly that she had insulted him. Standing in the living room a moment she waited for him to return. Though as he peeked into her bedroom Amalthea walked up behind him, "Lost?" she asked with a soft chuckle as she tilted her head. Her blind eyes casting their gaze up at him. She was indeed lovely, though she would have never known, unable to gaze at herself. Though it was something once could say was a good thing. She would never have an issue with becoming vain. For how could one be vain in themselves without ever seeing their own face.

    "I told you... I did not know there were others... Until I found you... It was if you were lit up like a beacon. All see when I look at you is a white glow... Others I can see much clearer.. But not you...." she spoke softly as she bit her lower lip a moment. "Listen... Can I offer you something to drink or eat?" she asked as she tilted her head again as she waited for his reply. This man, he was interesting to her. He was the first person she could easily say was a mystery to her. This made her so curious. She wished to know more about him. Maybe he was somehow like her in some way. She needed to know, if he truly had abilities as she had, then they could not be the only ones. This gave her hope of finding others with something in common with her. Even in this futuristic era she was someone frowned on. A handicapped being who was deemed worthless. She had little to no hope of ever being a normal woman with a husband and children. She was cursed to a world of darkness, meant to suffer alone. Which had pained her father. But nothing could be done for her.

    Jeremy jumped when Amalthea came up behind him. He breathed a little bit heavily then calmed down, finally, holding his hand over his heart. "No, just saw that your door was cracked open. I'm sorry." He said while walking past her as he listened to her speak. "So, you knew I was different from the moment we met?" He asked her with a raised brow then went straight into the kitchen, sitting down at the dining table as his eyes scanned around the perimeter. "Yes please, I am quite hungry." He said as he rubbed his stomach then asked her another question. "Not to offend you but, how can you cook and fix me something to eat?" He asked in a soft tone then got up and walked over to her, waiting for an answer as he leaned up against the counter, folding his arms over his chest.
