The events of MGS4 were ten years ago. Snake is gone, but war is not.

What has happened since:

Following the Outer Haven Incident of MGS4 with the Patriot's fall, no longer kept in check by the Patriots many countries broke into war. The world fell into chaos for a time. Most of the major powers were unaffected by this, and focused on recovering from the loss of the Patriots, but it did wreak a major change in Africa. A Somali warlord managed to bring multiple African countries under his rule in a matter of months, seemingly through no actual use of force. Now controlling Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Madagascar. Under one rule these nations have formed the new country of Avenia. Warlord (Now Referred to as 'President') Sadif Nassér's aggressive policies of almost blatantly threatening war upon nations has brought him under the scope of several major powers.

The massive military and economic growth the country has shown in it's short time clearly points to being secretly supported by other nations or a major private backer. That and President Nassér's aggressiveness in mind, multiple countries decided to build new Metal Gears in secret as a contingency should war break out, they formed the Global Peacekeeping Organization (GPO). Three months ago the prototypes for these Metal Gears were being secretly transported to Australia for testing. However, the ship carrying them and it's battleship escort never reached their destination. Days later they discovered that the ship was now docked at what was formerly Toamasina Madagascar. Not wanting to risk open conflict but certainly not willing to allow the Metal Gears to stay in Nassér's control, the GPO countries secretly funneled resources into a new organization much like Philanthropy, called Miracle.


Miracle:

Miracle is an NGO that typically gets it's donations from small arms companies afraid of being made obsolete by superior methods of combat. Miracle's personnel are some of the best in their respective fields. Severing any affiliation with their home governments so that should they be captured they can maintain deniability. Officially their purpose is to stop the proliferation of all forms of Superweapon.


Avenia:

Avenia is the country that has formed from the combination of Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Madagascar under the rule of Sadif Nassér. Not much is known about how he came to power, or why so many countries seemingly surrendered without conflict to the Somali warlord. What is known though is that the country has experienced a large amount of economic, and technological growth since it's formation. This fact has led many experts to believe another party was behind Sadif Nassér's rise to power. The country's aggressive political policies, and significant military presence have led many in the international community to take precautions in the case of war.


Plot:

The plot will follow the members of Miracle as they attempt to destroy the captured Metal Gears. Of course there might be some Metal Gear plot twists.

History: Megan originally joined China's People's Liberation Army for the sole purpose of making money, expecting to get a cushy role as women in the military typically do. However during training she showed an exemplary skill in hand to hand combat, besting all of her instructors deftly. After this, she was put into a secret spec-ops unit, where she underwent rigorous training in infiltration and combat. She also honed her unique ability to read her opponents muscle movement. Despite the significant raise in pay afforded by her position, Megan was never fond of the military lifestyle, and as soon as she was able resigned from the military.

She had only been back to civilian life for a matter of months when she was contacted by Miracle. With the promise of exceptional pay, and a non-strict lifestyle she jumped at the offer.

Other: Megan is especially small for a military woman, standing at only 5'3". She also will always go for the non-lethal takedown in preference over killing her enemy whenever possible.

She wears a form fitting black bodysuit with protective knee pads and elbow pads over it, she also has on a Kevlar ballistic vest in order to prevent some lighter caliber rounds from being entirely lethal. Sarah keeps her silvery white hair trimmed rather short in order to keep it out of her eyes and prevent it from being a tactical issue. Sarah also wears a small backpack that holds assorted maitence tools in order to repair guns and other equipment on the fly, along with some other gear, such as night vision and a gas mask encase of chemical weaponry being used. Sarah also wears a copy of the Solid Eye, famously used by solid snake himself. Her right eye suffers from partial blindness, so the solid eye works to correct that and display tactical information.

Sarah's pale white skin attests to how much time she spends in the dark and out of sunlight. She stands at five feet five inches. and has a C-cup breast size. Though you cant really tell when she is wearing her combat gear, get her in a dress however, and she looks pretty good...

Specialty/Skills: Sarah's specialty is support sniping. She is also an excellent mechanic when it comes to quickly patching something up. She is also a capable pilot and able to adapt to almost any environment.

Equipment: As stated above, Sarah possesses a copy of the Solid Eye, her tools, night vision goggles, and a gas mask. She also carrier around a few chaff and smoke grenades along with some C4 and a detonator. Though she feels that frag grenades are too chaotic and random, so she doesn't carry any.

History: Sarah spent most of her early life innocent, however, she enlisted at eighteen in the standard millitary, and quickly adapted to the hard life and climbed the rankings into the seals. She was recruited for this program for her extreme adaptability in harsh environments.

Strength enhancement: The ability to jump higher, and fight with the strength of a gorilla without sacrificing speed the slightest. Combined with Jack experience in hand to hand combat, this makes him almost more lethal up close than from afar.

Mark XXI Combat suppressor gun (an armor-piercing, full automatic silent handgun).

Phantom suit I: The prototype suit that allows teleportation and strength enhancement. Plus the tactical display show in his helmet.

History: Jack had already served as a decorated marine before undergoing the phantom program. Because of his long career he was given the honor to be placed in a prototype phantom suit. To fully integrating him in the suit he had to undergo several operations to prepare his body with nanomachines before he was ready. The result was the first ever merger between a man and a Phantom suit; a robotic armor that allows the user to move through time and space at a molecular level, thereby teleporting himself to a nearby location. It also gave him enhanced strength when wearing the suit.
Jack Preacher who now operates under the name “Silent Ghost” is a dedicated soldier who work stealth missions.

Other: Jack attitude and commitment to finishing his missions no matter the cost can make him seem a bit cold at times. He has no problem killing an unarmed man, or sacrificing a soldier to finish a mission.

Like SOP, PRODIGAL uses nanomachines to make Franklin the hub of a battlefield control network, allowing him to remotely access and interact with technology, including nanomachines in other soldiers. Its range is limited compared to SOP, only allowing him access to digital technology within a five hundred meter radius of his body rather than SOP's global network, and generally provides the same advantages as SOP (emotion/biological regulation, improved reflexes and co-ordination etc) with fewer disadvantages (no chance of external access). It enhances his high-level logical and intuitive thought processes, essentially letting him think better and react faster, even seeming to be able to predict the future through logical deduction. PRODIGAL's most notable ability allows him to 'hack into' the nanomachines of other soldiers, allowing him to see what they see as if he were part of their network, and he can also interfere with any special abilities their nanomachines might give them by tampering with the nanomachine code. It is also of benefit to other soldiers around Franklin, as he can send real-time tactical data (including hijacked enemy sensory feeds) to their HUDs - assuming they are using some form of nanomachine interface, or at least a sufficiently advanced combat suit.

PRODIGAL aside, Franklin is a genius level expert in computer science and electrical engineering, having studied under Hal Emmerich as part of his training with the GPO. He has the level of of firearms and close quarters training necessary for a field operative, augmented by the PRODIGAL system. His skill set and the PRODIGAL system means he tends to occupy the role of field communications specialist, serving to hack enemy communications while ensuring his fellow squad members are fully coordinated.

History:
Franklin's parents were both soldiers, members of the British special forces who were killed in action in 2005. This would have left the boy a lonely war orphan had his mother not been close friends with Hal Emmerich, who arranged for him to be adopted by the McCarthy family. Otacon and Franklin kept in touch over the years, even when Hal was labelled a terrorist for his role in Philanthropy and the Big Shell Incident, due to a shared love of technology and the belief that sufficiently advanced technology could bring an end to violence and war. Frank was extremely intelligent, but felt that his talents would be wasted in academia or the private sector and felt he would best serve the cause of peace through work with some sort of NGO. To that end, when he turned 18 Frank was put in touch with the Paradise Lost Army, which was composed almost entirely of war orphans like him. Its leader, a mysterious woman known only as Big Mama, seemed to take special interest in Franklin for some reason, but never let slip why.

With the fall of the War Economy and the Patriots, Franklin joined the Global Peacekeeping Organization to help deal with the fallout of nanomachine withdrawal that many former SOP-users were going through. It was there that he began work on his own version of a nanomachine-based communication network, which is about to receive some high-impact field testing as part of Miracle.

The mission did not go according to plan. the intel was false and instead of the intended target, there was an ambush lying in wait with an automated gun emplacement. Leons team was completely wiped out as well as 3 of the 6 man Spetsnaz team.
As they finally escaped, the lead commander on Spetsnaz noticed how calm and collected he was under fire. Requisitioning for his transfer. Leon received special training and access to Non-Standard equipment. Being part of a very strict and demanding crew.

At age 30, Leo was given the option to join MIRACLE. Hearing nothing about this new company has kept him skeptical. But promises of an extremely large payraise had convinced him.

History:
David was born in 1990 in Detroit, Michigan. Both his parents, Frank and Michelle were employees in the expensive car industry that was developed in Detroit,. But as both of his parents worked their shifts, there was barely a time when the entire family was together. This led to David creating a stronger connection to his mother, as his parents liked to spend most of his free time with his friends and tended to come home drunk. As years passed and David grew up, the situation only got worse and worse, as his father lost control about how much he was drinking, which ultimately led to loosing his job. By that time, David was a healthy twelve years old child, but was bullied by most of his class because of his father. This caused the antagonistic relation that was between him and his father, as he usually refused to talk or spend time with his father, what usually resulted in his father addressing some words that were not meant to be heard by the small boy. When David turned seventeen, Michelle finally decided it was time to move away from Frank, so they moved to her parents, away from the tyranny of Frank.

Years passed and when David turned twenty one, he joined the US Army, where he took extensive training from years 2011 to 2013. David was too young to think about a family, he desired to see the world, to find his place, so he enlisted to the unites that were about to send to Afghanistan. Before his departure for his first service on the front lines, he met a girl that changed his life upside down. He fell in love with her, but their relationship was a short one, as David had to leave. He promised her he would return, but life took a different turn. He was caught in a suicide attack, that left him on the brink of death, with both of his legs wounded beyond any hopes of healing and his left arm being torn off by an explosion. That´s when, through some unknown means, The Patriots intervened. Despite their downfall in 2014, experiments on David continued. He underwent several gene therapy experiments, and when they were finished, he was used as a test subject for the Cyborg Ninja project. The functioning remains of his body were surgically connected with an artificial body. He trained in secret for the next six years, accepting his fate once and for all.

Through some unknown means, he escaped the base where he was held in somewhere during year 2020, but after that, he completely disappeared, with no trace left of him. Before joining Miracle, David returned to his love, to find out she was single, and their old feelings resurfaced once more, despite David´s condition. He, however, asked her to be patient, as he had to do something important before he can return to her side. Now, in 2024, he returns once more, joining the Miracle group, though his motivations are a secret for the most of the group, though he plans on revealing them at a later point.

During one field mission he shot a teammate in the knees to distract hostiles in order to escape hostiles that were chasing them, this incident was removed from the record after Edmund used part of his fortune to bribe a superior member of miracle.

His skill set and the PRODIGAL system means he tends to occupy the role of field communications specialist, serving to hack enemy communications while ensuring his fellow squad members are fully coordinated.

History:
Franklin's parents were both soldiers, members of the British special forces who were killed in action in 2005. This would have left the boy a lonely war orphan had his mother not been close friends with Hal Emmerich, who arranged for him to be adopted by the McCarthy family. Otacon and Franklin kept in touch over the years, even when Hal was labelled a terrorist for his role in Philanthropy and the Big Shell Incident, due to a shared love of technology and the belief that sufficiently advanced technology could bring an end to violence and war. Frank was extremely intelligent, but felt that his talents would be wasted in academia or the private sector and felt he would best serve the cause of peace through work with some sort of NGO. To that end, when he turned 18 Frank was put in touch with the Paradise Lost Army, which was composed almost entirely of war orphans like him. Its leader, a mysterious woman known only as Big Mama, seemed to take special interest in Franklin for some reason, but never let slip why.

With the fall of the War Economy and the Patriots, Franklin joined the Global Peacekeeping Organization to help deal with the fallout of nanomachine withdrawal that many former SOP-users were going through. It was there that he began work on his own version of a nanomachine-based communication network, which is about to receive some high-impact field testing as part of Miracle.

Other: Franklin is secretly great-grandson of David Oh, aka Major Zero, founder of the Patriots. Both Otacon and Big Mama were aware of this, which is why they kept him close, for use as possible leverage.
The PRODIGAL system emphasizes logical thinking and reduces emotional impulses to reduce the chance of user error, meaning that when it is active (such as in the field) Wayward Son can come off as extremely cold, uncaring and even robotic in demeanor, though this changes once it is switched off and his normal thought patterns return.
