I swear I'm probably the most uncomuter savy person alive...
I'm trying to download a different version since for some reason my lap top won't download firefox...and it literally isn't doing anything.

Make sure you downloaded the right version.

If you google "download Firefox", for some reason the top search result is actually a bad website where you'll download a version of Firefox that doesn't even work, along with a ton of other crap that just slows your computer down, and viruses. The real Firefox download is the second or third thing on the list, the one that takes you to a site that actually says "mozilla" in the URL.

As for why it's at the top of the list? My theory is that Google did that on purpose so that people would try to download Firefox, think it's a piece of shit, and download Chrome instead... but uh... weird theories aside, just make sure you get the real Firefox and not that crap copy.

If you did download the crap copy, you might want to do a virus scan. O_o
