Dark atmosphere Fantasy RP

Hello everyone.
I want to go ahead and thank you for taking a look at this thread. I hope you see something you like.

Intro.

I'm wanting to make a Lord Of the Rings esc. style role play. Medieval Fantasy, but on the darker side. When I say this I mean most towns and villages did not have stone roads, and when it rained, where often muddy for a while after. Taverns (If you do your research, in real life medieval times, many taverns or inns where dirty and filled with lice.) would be smokey, grungy, loud. I'm also wanting to create a world like in lord of the rings where there were only 5 wizards at that time. A world where most people live normally. Outsiders are looked on with abit of suspicion. "That's Stryder, he's one of them rangers, dangerous folk" (Might not be exact quote, but you get my meaning)

Anyway. If a darker medieval fantasy world interest you. Then please respond with any thought, ideas, or suggestions.

The World.

Lord of the Rings, Skyrim, Vindictus, are just a few of the inspirations. The wold is indeed a fantasy world, so there is magic, giant spiders, undead, necromancers, and the whatnot. But for the everyday people it's something seldom if ever seen. A village could go generations without being attacked by any sort of monster or bandit. Or a village could be afraid of a necromancer in the near by crypts for years, many to afraid to go and investigate.

Characters.

No Anime. (Nothing against anime, just doesn't fit here)
No God Modding.
Both your parents did not die by dragon attacks, and now your looking for revenge.
Be Mature. (Not necessarily in age. But in your writing, and conduct.)
Grammar and Spelling. There's spell check for a reason. Do your best with Grammar.
Your character can't kill 50 bandits without a scratch. Actually he'll probably be dead. Maybe turned into a necro minion. A sickly one. That get's gnawed on by rats... Ok I'm done.



Anyway, I have ideas. But welcome input. Please let me know what you think.

Edit. Sorry guys, this would be a casual, high casual role play. I would expect some effort into character development and player interaction.

Well I personally love a nitty, gritty dark fantasy setting Lord of the Rings, Dragon Age, the Witcher and Skyrim are some of my favorites.

But I'd like to hear what you have in mind for a plot and maybe some background. I'm not asking you to write out an exhaustive list or anything, but I think it'd be good to hear what you have in mind before I give any input.
