Can't say I'm anywhere near hardcore enough to call myself a fan, though I do like some good fighting games. Blazblue is cool, but I don't exactly have many people to play it with (Arakune is a jerk :D but I heard he's suffered some pretty big nerfs since Calamity Trigger.) Same story for skullgirls (even though that game is awesome.) Street Fighter I do, but sadly most of them are summarised as HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN, which, as it turns out, is a legit playstyle in SF4. It got boring fast. I used to play a fair bit of Soul Calibur 2, Talim mostly (she's a jerk :D) but I haven't picked up the series since for similar issues with other fighting games (nobody wants to play it.)

I still play smash bros from time to time, and I was pretty good at melee. This was back in highschool when a lot of people were still into these games. I beat some of the local tournament players, although to their defence that was probably because they had no idea how to handle Yoshi >.> I really loved Brawl as well, although I never got quite as good at it. Fighting games for me are about playing them with people in the same room. Online matches really lose their charm, sadly. I'm quite curious about the new instalment and sincerely hope my nostalgia won't drive me to buy a wii u because of it :x

I got into them with Smash Bros, I've been playing since . for a long time that was the only one I played, but then I picked up Soul Calibur two, which even now is still my favorite 3d fighter. I've gone around and tried a lot of others, so far my favorites are Street Fighter 4, Blazblue, and Soul Calibur series

I still adore smash bros as my all time favorite, cannot wait for the next entry

Smash is so good. I even go out of my way to mod it. Been waiting for modders to add some characters like Ryu And such
