Wandering Souls follows a people known only as The Shaman, those who can commune with the spirits of nature, and of the dead, in order to make their way in the world.
There are two types of Shaman in the world: Those who work together with mortal men who lack their power are known only as "Shaman", and are seen as the spiritual caretakers of the world. Some do so begrudgingly, but it's in their blood and bones to help keep the balance between the spirit world and that of the living.
Then there are the Daolocum, a splinter group of shaman who believe that they are better than mortality. What was once a rogue clan has now formed an empire, that threatens to dominate the world, the shamans, and the mortals they help.
Any shaman is welcomed among their ranks, and those who do not join, will soon see their villages in ashes.
But what would give either of these sides the edge they so desperately need to defeat the other?
Centuries ago, an ancient set of armour was forged from the guardian spirits of shaman that had fallen, forged by an ancient clan who's name has long since been forgotten.
This armour was special, for every piece of it possessed an unnatural power that gifted its wielder with an ability no normal shaman could wield.
However, it was tainted by the evil of the clan that had forged it, and so its forgers were exterminated by the shaman elders of old, and the armour, separated and moved around the land to keep it safe.
It was entrusted to the ancestors of the shamans who wield it now, with one goal in mind: Protection of what they believed in.
Later down the line, however, many of these shaman fell to the side of the Daolocum, and the others took up arms to fight back.
But neither side was superior, and in the end, they all came to the same goal...
For centuries, shamans have fought in The Duel, an event older than their race itself.
The rules are simple: Shamans are paired off to battle, and duke it out in a tournament to the death, until only one man stands. This man (or woman) will then win The Prize, an indescribable power.
The catch is that nobody has ever won it, however.
Whenever The Duel has commenced, a mighty spirit, known only as The King of Spirits has intervened to stop it, interrupting the final battle so that nobody could acquire The Prize.
It is believed that the armour pieces have been fashioned in order to combat The King, and the more you have, the more likely you are to defeat him.
So how this is going to work
Wandering Souls has been around for a while now, but we haven't gotten very far: Partially due to tarty roleplayers and partially due to a lack of roleplayers in general.
Right now, our Shaman are laying low in a city not far from where they began, so if you wish to join, you may feel free to arrive at the tavern they're staying in (and for the Daolocum, vice versa.)

I hope some of you would like to join up! I'll have a list of available armour pieces (you may pick what these pieces do, providing they don't mimic another piece too closely, and aren't overpowered) up soon.
