Natalie Mason felt the panic raising in her, the sweat on her palms growing heavier, her heart beat increasing, her breathing coming out heavier. She could do this, she could do this. She took a deep breath and slowly, she pressed the lead of her pencil to the paper and began her short-answer to the last question on a surprise test in her English course that relied for half her grade in this class. With a deep breath, she finished and set her pencil down, grabbing up the evil test and standing on jelly-like legs. She walked forward to the teacher's desk, squeezing the test tightly. She couldn't afford to fail this test, if she failed this test, she failed the class. She slowly set the test on the desk, one of the last students to do so, the teacher glancing up at her. She forced a nervous smile before turning and stiffly walking back to her desk. She sat down, relaxing only the slightest. If she failed, she's doomed... in her head. She was making a bigger fuss out of it than what it was but Natalie always did that. She always blew things out of the water and made a mountain out of a mole hill. She slumped in her seat a little as the teacher called for the rest of the tests. After a few minutes of sitting in a tense silence, the teacher glanced at the clock on the wall and announced the end of class. Natalie let her head fall none too gracefully down onto the desk, her forehead stinging from the sudden slam.

"Gosh, Nat, calm down." a amused voice came from beside her, tapping on the back of her head. She swatted the hand away, looking up and glaring slightly at her best guy friend, Levi. "Are you not freaking out?!" she asked, standing up. Levi laughed, shaking his head. "No. It's just a number." he said. "Just a number, he says," Natalie deadpanned as they leave the classroom, "Just a number that counts for half of our grade, she says." she shot a glare his way as they walked down the hallway. Not many students were out in the hallway, considering some classes were still going on. College schedules could be so confusing. Levi laughed again at her. "Do you want to go get lunch or something?" he asked. It was nearly noon and they had their hour break between two classes, allowing for lunch. "Starbucks?" Natalie said hopefully. She could use some caffeine to calm her nerves down. Levi nodded, leading her towards the large lunch room in their college. Recently, their college got a Starbucks put into the lunch room, for the money they knew it would bring in. It seemed they forgot the health of their students but nobody was going to complain; everybody loved Starbucks. Well, expect for the health nuts, but nobody pays attention to them anyway.

"Yes, Starbucks." Levi said as they entered the room. Natalie loved her college. It was very modern and well put together, the lunch room large with round, white tables and matching chairs. They always sold various foods, giving Natalie something different everyday, and the food was actually decent. Which was surprising, usually school food was horrible. She walked up to the Starbucks counter, smiling at the girl behind it. "Hey Nat!" the black-haired girl said excitedly, her hair hidden under the Starbucks hat atop her head. "Hey Cassie!" Natalie returned the excited tone almost sarcastically. She was not excited, not with that English test weighing heavily on her mind. Usually, they allowed students to work in the Starbucks. Part-time, naturally, because they had classes, but it was easier than searching for actual employees. "Nat's having a heart attack about that test in Mr. Baxter's class." Levi chuckled. Natalie shot him an annoyed look while Cassie groaned. "I have that tomorrow." she grumbled, shaking her head. "I feel for you, man." Natalie muttered, gazing around the lunch room, to see if she saw anyone else she knew. Natalie knew a good amount of people, being such a socialist, but she always forgot their class schedule and when they had lunch and such.

Luka Bell with his dark blue backpack, and black straps, walks up to the Starbucks counter, "Regular coffee please." he smiles as he hands the money to Cassie. Some bigger guy walks up to Luka and does a pat-type thing on his shoulder. "Hey man, how's it going bro?" Luka turns to see who it is and it was one of his best-friends, Jay. "It's going, about to go to Computer Engineering. How did your class turn out?" Luka asked. "I shit you not bro, my teacher in Psychology class wants me." Jay said. Luka laughs, "Yeah okay man, whatever you say, you think every girl wants you."

Luka turns back to Cassie and grabs his drink, "Thanks a lot!" He smiles again and looks at Jay motioning his head to follow him to a table. "Girls are weird I'll never understand them." Luka chuckled as he was walking with Jay. They find a nearby table talking about how their day went and what they plan on doing on the weekend. Luka laughs again cause Jay is being the usual 'cocky' guy he is, but he's not like real cocky, just a guy that jokes around with girls a lot.

Natalie sighed as she plopped down at a random table, taking a sip of her Mocha Latte. Levi sat beside her, pulling a vanilla scone from the Starbucks bag and popping it into his mouth, gazing around. "Hey Nat," he nudged the girl and nodded towards Luka and Jay's table. "Don't you like one of them?" he asked, truly curious, before he took a sip of his black coffee. Natalie's gaze drifted over to the table and she felt her cheeks heat just the slightest. She had talked to Luka a couple times, a simple hey or hi here and there, but she had always thought he was very good-looking. Jay, she talked to him a few times and thought he was pretty funny, but he didn't really seem like her type. "I don't know what you're talking about." she finally said, stealing a scone from him and popping it into her mouth.

Levi scoffed. "Whatever, Nat." he said, grinning and standing up. "Excuse me." he said and walked towards Luka and Jay's table. "What are you-" she started to call after him and her jaw dropped when she saw where he was going. She took another scone, glaring at Levi's back. She hoped he wasn't doing what she thought he was. Levi came up to Jay and Luka and sat at the table without asking. He didn't know them that well but thought they wouldn't mind. "Hey dudes!" he said, grinning. "What's up?" he asked curiously, glancing over towards Natalie, to see her death glare. Oh, he loved messing with her.

"Yeah man! You wouldn't believe the stories I have to tell you with the women I've been with. One time I went to a rave and this girl was so drugged it out was crazy. We danced all.." Jay was interrupted by some random guy coming up to the table saying 'Hey dudes, what's up?' Jay was a bit mad that he couldn't finish his story because it wasn't for everyone to hear. "Hey man, you're that one guy from.." he pauses to think. "Psychology right?" he asked.

Luka listened as Jay asked him that question. 'Why did he come over here randomly.' Luka thought. He couldn't understand this guy's reason for being here at all. Luka pulls his backpack on the table cause he was tired of having it on his back. "Nothing, just chilling since we just got out of class." Luka replied to Levi's question. Luka looked at his phone to check the time, 15 minutes before class starts again. 'I should leave soon' Luka thought. He wanted to hear more of Jay's story so maybe they could talk on the way to their next class together.

Levi nodded at Jay's question. "Yeah, Levi." he said, giving a kind smile. He nodded at Luka. "Yeah, same here. Chilling with one of my friends." he glanced Natalie's way, who was eating all of his scones. He resisted frowning about that but it was his fault for leaving them. "I think she likes one of you guys and so, I'm freaking her out by coming over and talking to you." he said, laughing some. "She's fun to mess with." he added, looking between the two. Even though him and Natalie were close, she was still tight-lipped when it came to crushes and he wondered which one it was.

Natalie huffed and popped the last scone in her mouth. Levi deserved to have all his scones eaten. She pushed the empty bag aside and took a sip of her Mocha Latte, trying to not watch Levi but she couldn't help her eyes moving that way. She wanted to know what he was saying. She had a feeling he was doing all this just to freak her out and it was working. This wasn't middle or high school, she could approach either one of those guys if she really wanted too. God, she was going to kill Levi.

Jay and Luka both looked at Natalie when he motioned in her direction. "Yeah girls are fun to mess with." Jay laughed and so did Luka. "I don't really do the messing around with girls, but it's fun to watch Jay do it." Luka said and added "But I did mess around with my sister quite a bit when we were in high-school together. She had different crushes on guys like everyday, it was ridiculous."

Luka got up after saying that, he glanced over at Natalie one more time and turned to Jay, "Yo, let's get to class we don't have much time left." He said as he got done looking at his phone. "Alright, man! Let's go. This teacher is pretty hot, and there are a ton of babes in that class." Jay said and Luka laughed as he said that. "You're always like that man, that's why you're my friend." They started to walk out of the cafeteria. Luka looked back at Levi, "See ya around man!" Jay looked back as well and waved.

Levi glad they saw where he was coming from. He just knew Natalie was freaking out. That's what she did. He knew he was probably going to get hurt for this but it'd totally be worth it. He nodded at what they were saying, already liking these guys. They seemed like guys he could get along with and hang out with. He wondered why he never tried to talk to them before. He got up when they did, nodding. Him and Natalie had better got moving too. It's not like he had to finish eating his scones or anything. He waved at them before returning to a very upset-looking Natalie.

Natalie jumped up, grabbing the front of Levi's shirt and shaking him. "What did you say?!" she demanded. Levi laughed. "Oh, not much..." he said, trailing off, picking up his coffee after pushing Natalie's hand off of him. Natalie scowled, balling up the Starbucks bag and throwing it at him. "Tell me!" she whined. "This isn't high school, Nat." he said, amused, as he began to head towards the hallway. "Levi, I swear!" she grabbed her drink and chased after him. "You better start talking or that coffee will end up all over the front of your shirt!" she said. "Seesh, Natalie, deep breath. Ever heard of it? I don't know, not much was said... I mean, I told them you liked one of 'em, they over looked." he said. Natalie gaped at him. "You asshole!" she hissed. "Why? It's not like you have to see them a lot." Levi said, chuckling. "I have class with one of them next!" she said. "Oh, really? Which one?" he asked, growing more amused. "I dunno his name..." she muttered, trailing off. She thought his name started with a L but couldn't recall it at the moment.

Jay and Luka both walked down the hall together, talking and laughing as usual. They were the best of friends, when they joined college they joined together. They picked each-other as roommates and even got the same classes together besides one which was Psychology. They were heading down to Computer Engineering. As they grew up they used to play games a lot, and they naturally learned how to operate a computer very well. They decided they would learn more about them. They are the definition of 'Bromance'.

"What did you think of that Natalie girl that Levi was talking about?" Jay asked. "I don't know, she was cute, I saw her only for a second. I think she's in our next class." Luka replied. "I never really paid attention to her though, she's a pretty quiet girl compared to us. Always yelling around and causing trouble, it's mostly you though Jay" Luka laughed "Yeah, whatever man you help a lot too!" Jay remarked and laughed as they went down the hall.

Levi chuckled. "You poor baby. I feel so bad for you." he said, patting her head. Natalie waved his hand off and glared up at him. "You started this whole thing!" she said, nudging him in the ribs. Levi threw his arm over her shoulders, laughing. "C'mon, you still love me." he said. Sometimes, Natalie thought Levi liked her more than the friends they were. But she had always saw Levi as nothing but an annoying older brother. Ever since the start of college, he's been there for her. Cassie would tease her, saying Levi wanted to date her. Often, she's wondered if that's true. It's not like she should mention it to Levi, nothing would come out of it.

Though, she had doubts Levi liked her more than a friend too. It was confusing and she didn't really want to confront him about it anyway. "Well!" he spoke up, stopping and taking his arm back. "This is my stop and I will see you later, mi lady." he bowed slightly before disappearing into the classroom, a couple of more students following him in. Natalie snorted, rolling her eyes with a smile. If it counted for anything, Levi could always put a smile on her face. She headed to her next class, Computer Engineering. She had been on the computer since she had proper motor skills, her parents were huge tech geeks and it rubbed off on her. She headed into class and nearly frozen when she noticed both guys from the cafeteria were in there. Great, she had it with both of them? How had that slipped her mind? Then again, she only really paid attention to the one. Trying to not look their way, she went to her desk and sat down, laying her messenger bag beside her. She was reminded of the fact she had to kill Levi.

Luka and Jay were talking as they were programming something on the computer, "Yeah man, if you add this line of code it'll make the program do this." Luka pointed showing Jay what was going on. Luka turned around and opened his backpack to get a notebook and a pencil to take some notes of the code before he forgot it. "We're such nerds, the class hasn't even started yet and we're just doing our own class" Jay chuckled. Luka was writing in some notes but soon after he was finished he looked at Jay and said, "Yeah, but you know we love this kind of stuff ever since we were kids." Jay nodded his head agreeing with Luka and turned to get his notebook. He grabbed it and then noticed the girl from the cafeteria in here doing her own thing.

"Luka look! That girl from the lunchroom is in here." He moved his head in the direction that Natalie was at. "Yeah, I didn't even notice. We've never really looked to see who else was in the room." Luka replied. He look back at the computer screen and continued to write down some notes. Jay turned to the computer that Luka was at and did the same. "Dude do you think I have a chance with this teacher? She's real cute." Jay said. Luka looked up and focused on the teacher. He turns back to Jay and laughs, "Dude, what's wrong with you?" Luka smiled and laughed more, "You're so weird man."
