    Post Additions to Jersey

Today was the day. The day that Ardra Stafford was going to be moving into the infamous Jersey Shore house. It wasn’t something that she was going to regret doing. She knew this experience would be unlike any other living situation she had ever been in.

At the young age of 22, she had already accomplished a few major tasks. For instance, she had graduated high school at the age of seventeen, went straight off to college and graduated a couple months prior to this new journey she was on.

Pure excitement and adrenaline were coursing through her veins. However, she was a little bit nervous. She wasn’t sure how well the others were going to take two new people moving in to replace others; Along those lines, she was curious to see what her new counterpart was going to be like. She just hoped to god that she was going to be able to get along with the majority of the house and mesh easily with the routines.

“Just a few more minutes.” she muttered to herself as she drove through the Jersey roads towards her new home for the next few months. Soon, there she was. Parked in her car in front of the garage with the red, white, and green image of Italy on it. Getting out, she instantly saw cameras everywhere, but chose to ignore them and grabbed a couple of her bags, making her way up the stairs, along the deck, and to the door.

She slowly opened it to reveal an empty living room. Her bright blue eyes scanned the area, and a small sensation of relief rushed through her. She was horrified that as soon as she walked in, there would be a bombardment of questions instantly. She just assumed that everyone was out working, enjoying the beach, or on the roof drinking and lounging in and around the hot tub.

It was already six o'clock in the morning, he was doing a miniature workout in his room of parent's home. He did pushups, situps and even some air strikes with his hands and feet. After workout was over with Geoff would get in front of the mirror and pose then slap his chest before putting on a plain white t-shirt, that goes along with his khaki cargo shorts and white sneakers. He was already packed for his departure to the shore house. He made he had everything before taking the bags and himself, walking out of his room and into the living room, stopping and hugging his mother, father and twin sister. They all said their goodbyes and helped him pack his luggage into the trunk. "Thanks, I will keep in touch with you guys." He said while getting inside of his White Ford Tahoe, cranking up the engine and driving off. The time was now ten o'clock.

Geoff lived about two hours away from the shore house, he was super excited to be living there though. He might be the oldest of all the people there, he was twenty-four years of age. "Almost there. Jersey Shore, here I come." He said to himself then seeing the house from a distance as he laughs and cheers. When he reaches closer to the house, he pulls up in a parking spot and turns the engine off, getting out of the car and looking up at the house. "Oh yeah." He said while walking up the stairs, leaving his bags in the Tahoe for now. He didn't bother to knock on the door as he just go ahead and opens it. "Hello?" He calls out, seeing if anyone was present, though there was a female in the empty living room. "Hey there. I'm Geoff and you are?" He extended his hand out to meet the female hand in front of him.

The girl definitely wasn’t your typical Italian. Blond hair, bright blue eyes, and very light, porcelain looking skin. Not to mention her background most likely wasn’t like what everyone else was used to. She now had her own apartment about an hour from her parents, she was totally self-relient and she had grown up in the country. She grew up hunting, fishing, cooking and cleaning. To be honest, she was surprised that she had even been chosen to take part in this social experiment due to her differences, but she was thankful.

She had found one room that hadn‘t been taken and only assumed this was strategic. The others knew that they would have new people moving in and they didn’t know what they would be like, so they paired up with each other. Her bags had been placed on the bed she chose and she was hanging out between the kitchen and living room, taking in her new surroundings.

When she heard the door open, she turned around and looked at the new figure walking through. She knew instantly that he wasn’t one of the original Italians, but he definitely seemed like he could have been. She listened to his introduction and extended her hand to meet his, “I’m Ardra. Nice to meet you.“ she spoke before releasing her grip on his hand and taking a breath, “I’m guessing you’re the other new person here?“

Making her way through the living room and into the kitchen to look out of the windowed doors, she couldn’t help but smile. This was going to be a summer to remember. “I haven’t seen anyone else, but I have a feeling that later on tonight all of them will be rushing about this place getting ready for whatever hot club they want to go out to tonight.”

"Ardra. Such a beautiful name." He said with a smile following behind his words and he nodded at her question. "Yes, you must be the girl replacement?" He asked her while looking around, following her into the kitchen. "Oh, they might hit up Karma, like always." He said as he turned heel and went looking for a room, spotting a bed that hasn't been yet taken but it seems that he was sharing with the new girl. "Seems like we are sharing rooms?" He said, leaned up against the doorway then pushing himself off of it as he went outside, grabbed his three bags of luggage and went back inside. He went into the room and started unpacking. "So, tell me a little bit about your self?!" He yelled so that she could hear him. He was done unpacking then sat on his bed, watching her to see if she was going to walk in the room.

As she was talking about herself, the phone started to ring. Geoff eyes Ardra as he got up from his bed and walked over to the phone. He eyed Ardra before picking it up and speaking. "Hello." It was Danny, owner of the shore house, aka their boss for the Summer. "Hey, you must one of the new people. Welcome to the Shore House and I hope you guys will have fun both here at the Jersey Shore and at work. Speaking of work, I need you two to come and get the schedule, ASAP." With those words said, Danny hanged up the phone and Geoff shrugged then hung the phone up, his entire body shifting towards Ardra. "Danny wants us to go and get the schedule for this Summer. The store is on the boardwalk."

Geoff turned around, already leaving and walking down the stairs, hoping Ardra was following him.

A small smile crossed her face as he had complimented her name. “Thank you.“ she said, watching him as he made his way into their room. Hearing his comment as he came out, she nodded, “Yea…I guess so. We’ll find out what actually happens once they get to know us. You could always end up sharing a room with Mike, Vinny, or Pauly.“ she teased

Hearing his question from inside their room, she walked into the living room and stood at the doorway, looking in at him as she answered. “Well, I’m gonna point out right now, I’m not sure why they chose me to be here. I’m a complete country girl when I’m not here. I hunt, I fish, and I’m not afraid to camp out without any running water or electricity.“ she said with a small smirk on her face. What about you?” she asked curiously, “I feel I have the right to know some background information about my roommate if we’re going to be living together for at least a little while.“

Hearing the phone ring, her eyes followed him as he moved to answer it, listening to his side of the conversation. When he had hung up and explained everything to her, she nodded and instantly followed him out the door. Her mind was racing with what it was going to be like working on the boardwalk. There would constantly be attractive guys and girls coming in and going out, tourists, just like she felt she was.

She could hear each step she took on the boardwalk. Her wedged sandals making a soft thud as she put one foot in front of the other and carried her petite frame gracefully, her long blond hair bouncing against her shoulders until they came to the storefront. She wove her way through the many racks and smiled a little bit as she saw familiar faces from tv working.

Turning and looking at Geoff, she shrugged, “Well, so far, so good.” she said before sending a wink his way. Ardra had a very bubbly personality which made her great when it came to working with people, and she couldn’t wait to meet everyone else informally and start partying, if she chose to.

Geoff heard Ardra's comment about the others then started talking as they made their way onto the boardwalk. "Yeah, can't wait to meet them." He said while smiling then shrugged his shoulders a little, answering her question. "Well, I am a natural Guido."He said with a hint of laughter then smiled down towards her. "I'm also Italian, full blooded." He said as they made their way into the Shore Store, making his way towards the counter, where Danny was standing, well leaning up against the counter, arms folded.

"Hey Danny. What's up?" Geoff said as he shook Danny's hand then Danny proceeded to shake Ardra's hand. "Hello there. Hope you guys are ready for probably the best summer ever." Danny said while wiggling his index finger for them to follow him. They went to the outside as he stood there, laid back and cool. "Now, want you guys to understand that this is serious. No work, no staying at the house. Got it?" Geoff nodded his head then waited for Ardra to reply or do the same. From there, Danny handed them both slips of paper, containing their schedule. "Alright, see ya', Danny." Geoff waved his hand then walked out of the shore store.

He turned towards Ardra then spoke again. "I'm hungry, what about you?" He asked her while walking into a nearby restaurant/bar. He sat down at a table then picked up a menu, waiting for a waiter or waitress to come by and take their order.

Ardra listened closely as he talked about his history. Another stereotypical Guido, on the outside at least. She was suddenly feeling like it was going to be a fight for her to be accepted by everyone, but it was something that she was willing to risk, and if she didn’t fit in, then so be it, it’s not like everyone around them was going to be Italian, but that also wasn’t to say that she didn’t have any Italian in her at all.

When they had finally saw Danny at the front of the store, she stuck her hand out as he had extended his and shook it politely before following him out and taking the small piece of paper from him. She understood all conditions and showed that with a nod of her head as her bright blue eyes looked down at the piece of paper in her hands.

As the conversation with their new boss had come to an end, she offered a smile and a wave of her hand, “Bye, Danny.“ she muttered before turning around and walking with Geoff along the boardwalk. “Food sounds great.“ She followed him into a small restaurant and sat down across from him, taking a quick look over the menu before looking out to the beach momentarily. “So are you athletic at all?” she asked curiously. Ardra was a girly girl, but at the same time, she was a guys’ girl. She loved sports and food. She could handle working on her own vehicles if needed, and because of her country background, she drove a pickup, despite the fact that she did live in an apartment. Often times, this stuck her in the friend zone with people she thought she could be in a relationship with.

"With a body like this..." He waved his hand dismissively over his body then laughed a little. "Of course, I am athletic." He said with a soft smile, leaning up a little bit. Out of the corner of his eye, he seen a waitress coming there way. "Hello there, my name is Victoria and I will be serving you guys today. Want to to start with some drinks?" Geoff nodded then looked up at Victoria and gave his lips a little lick. "I'll like to have a Sweet Tea, please. And just a hamburger and some fries." He folded his menu back up and handed it to Victoria then waited for Ardra to order. Victoria took her order and menu then smiled before leaving with their orders placed. "It sure is beautiful out here, isn't it?" He asked while looking out at the ocean, the sun glaring down upon it.

A few minutes later, Victoria brought back their order as he dug right on in. He took small sips from his sweet tea then prepped up his burger. "So Ardra, do you think we will get treated differently?" Geoff asked before taking a big bite out of his burger, grabbing a nearby napkin and wiping from around his mouth. "I don't really care, I am just here to work and have fun, you know." He said while waiting for her to answer his question, as he continued to bite into the burger.

That same little smile crossed her face as he started talking about his body as an answer to her question. She rolled her eyes playfully and she shook her head, “I guess you have a point, that was kind of a stupid question.“ When the waitress had walked over and Ardra had looked at her, she instantly knew that it was a girl that any guy would be interested in. She ordered a simple basket of chicken strips and fries with water before handing her menu to the girl. “Try to control yourself at least a little bit, we’ve been here for what…an hour?“ she teased. Her gaze followed his toward the ocean. “It’s gorgeous. Imagine the sunsets we’re going to be seeing.“

As soon as her food was set down in front of her, she thanked the girl with a smile and picked up the salt, sprinkling it over everything in the basket she had gotten. That was when she started to eat, enjoying every bite she was taking. His question however, caused her to pause in thought. “Of course we’ll get treated differently. We’re not original to the house. However, I think you have an advantage since you look like you belong here.“ she pointed out. “You’re not a 5’2” blue-eyed, blond-haired country girl. I’m Italian, just not full Italian like people might expect.“ She couldn’t have agreed more with him, “I’ve been looking forward to this since I found out I was coming. I don’t really care if I fit in, there are other people around.“

When she had finished, she started eating again, finishing everything within ten minutes. When the waitress had brought the bill over, she instantly reached for it and stuck some money in to take care of both the bill and her tip. She slid her chair back and stood up, stretching out. “I’d hate to be a block for you, so I’m going to leave the bachelor alone, go home, change into my suit and maybe go walk along the beach. I’ll see you at home sometime tonight.“ she said before waving to him and walking away.

"Don't get jealous already." He said then saw as she sprinkled salt all over her food. "Whoa, like salt much?" He said while taking another bite of his food. "Yeah, maybe we can watch the sunsets together sometime." He said with a smile then listened to her talk while finishing up his food and drink, taking the napkin and wiping around his mouth and hands. He threw the napkin in his basket then placed his elbows up on the table. "Yeah but you are gorgeous, that have got to like you for that reason." Maybe those wasn't the best choice of words but hell, it was true. He shrugged his shoulders at the thought then leaned back in his seat.

The waitress brought over the check, Ardra slipped some money in and paid for the bill and the waitress tip. When she got to leave, Geoff took the money out and paid for it instead. He handed Victoria the bill then smiled as he got up as well, running behind Ardra, finally catching up with her. "You dropped something back there." He waved her money in front of her face as he waited for her to grab it. "And I didn't even like her." He said with a hint of laughter behind those words, but he really meant it. "Mind if I join you?" He asked her as they were making their way back towards the Shore House.

When they got to the Shore House, Geoff put his hand in front of Ardra to cut her off for walking any further. "Hear that?" He pointed his thumb up at the house as he heard yelling between a guy and a girl. Geoff walked up the stairs and stood directly in front of the door, looking towards Ardra. "This is it." He opened up the door and waited to see everyone's expression.
