The Singular Universe: An Ultimate Comics RPG

    World War II changed everything.

Before the great war, humans knew the way of the world. They went about their daily lives knowing in their hearts there were no creatures from space, demons and angels stayed in their respective realms, and a regular man could not become super over night. They went to sleep knowing the next morning their children wouldn't start displaying amazing powers in the morning. They went to work not worried about what the new superhuman arms race would lead to.

But World War II changed everything.

When the Third Reich's technologically superior and fiercely trained army began running roughshod over Europe, the United States Military began a desperate scientific program as a last ditch effort to turn the tide of the war, signaling the beginning of Project Rebirth and the Superhuman Age.

Rebirth produced one success, the agent known only to the public as Captain America. He was dispatched to Europe, but he was not alone. The government had also discovered that the human race was beginning to change and mutate to a higher level of evolution. Using some of these new found supermen, they formed The Invaders, a special team that was to liberate Europe.

But Hitler and the Nazis attempted to turn the tide themselves, searching for all manner of occult powers across the world, only to be thwarted time and time again by archeologist and American agent Henry "Indiana" Jones. The Germans also summoned a demon into the world, but the creature known as Hellboy was confiscated and raised by an American special forces team before the Nazis could use him for their dastardly intentions.

Eventually, with Captain America and the others at their backs, the Allies turned the tide of the war. As the noose tightened around Hitler's neck, The Invaders discovered the main fortress of Hitler's science team HYDRA, and what was really behind the Third Reich's technology.

The Nazis were being aided by the alien race known as the Chitauri, a shapeshifting race bent on wiping out freewill in the galaxy. On this final and heroic mission, the Invaders and Captain America thwarted their plan to release a nuclear ICBM on the United States and forced the aliens into retreat.

Unfortunately, Captain America was lost during the mission, sobering the end of the European war.

The time after the war was quiet, at least to the regular citizenry. But behind the scenes, the governments of the world began a superhuman arms race. The loss of Captain America set the US science division back years, as many different agencies scrambled to recreate Project Rebirth's success. The absence of America's super soldier also allowed the rise of the Soviet Union and the spread of Communism across the globe.

During the 60s, the Mutant population also skyrocketed, believed to be due to the atom bomb, and began to be noticed. As it did, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr rose to prominent positions inside the community, eventually fracturing their long friendship due to differing ideologies.

The 70s brought radical change and the rise of terrorism across the globe. With free nations and Communist nations in the stalemate of the Cold War, criminal organizations attempted to use their inability to act to their advantage, chief among them was the super organization known as SPECTRE. In order to combat these threats, the United Nations Security Council convened in secret to put together a team to combat this new form of evil, and that is when S.H.I.E.L.D. was born.

SHIELD was designed from day one to be the organization to fight all the strange threats that had emerged, and had different organizations underneath it that specialized in different threats. The organization's first top agent was a former Navy SEAL by the name of Nick Fury.

As time past into the 80s, and the Cold War came to a close with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the world settled into a relative peace, although society as a whole began to decline. The world no longer had any heroes to look up to and no one to follow the lead of.

But that was about to change as well.

In Kansas, a small spacecraft crash lands on the Kent Farm. In Gotham City, a boy loses his parents to a lone gunman. A school for gifted youngsters opens in rural New York. And scientists in the United States begin unlocking the secrets of the Super Soldier Serum, using mutant DNA and Gamma radiation which will start a chain reaction across the world.

The time is now, and the world's new batch of superheroes has emerged, fighting back the evils that came with them.
    Major Players

    S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D. continues to be the worlds first line of defense against threats from terrestrial villains, whether they be super powered or not. They still stand up against the likes of SPECTRE as well as other terrorist groups such as COBRA. Led by their former top man Nick Fury, they try to hold the tenuous strings of peace together. They struggle to deal with the large mutant population and the growing public backlash against it.

    S.H.A.D.E.

S.H.A.D.E. (Super Human Advanced Demon Extermination) is one of the under departments of SHIELD, put together from the remnants of Project Hellboy. It's mission is to investigate and deal with supernatural and mystical threats to the world. It's major threats response team is known as the Creature Commandos, and is led by Hellboy himself.

    S.W.O.R.D.

S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) is another part of SHIELD dedicated to monitoring extraterrestrial activity on Earth. Using confiscated Chitauri technology, as well as anything else they've come across on the planet, they keep alien visitations secret to the general public. Often nicknamed the "Men in Black" by those that happen to come across them, they prefer to work in secret and behind the shadows.

    S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

The world's preeminent terrorist and criminal organization, SPECTRE has been around for over three decades at this point. Made up of former HYDRA and Cold War scientists, the specialize in weapons, drugs, and all forms of mayhem. None know who leads them, nor has any SPECTRE agent ever been captured alive.

    COBRA Command

Led by the infamous and mysterious Cobra Commander, this anarchistic group seeks to undermine the world powers and throw the planet into chaos.

    The Corps

A universal peace keeping fore, The Corps have protected the galaxy from evil for almost as long as life has existed. The different colors of the rainbow designate their places and roles within the Corps, including a black-ops team designated as "Novas". From their headquarters on Oa, they watch and protect the galaxy from threats.

    The Hand

An ancient and evil ninja organization obsessed with power and the occult, the Hand has begun to spread its sphere of influence outside of Japan.
This RPG is based off of a player-created continuity, similar to Marvel's Ultimate imprint. Outside of the above, and what the players themselves create, there is no pre-established continuity.

As players, it will be your job to take the basic ideas and characters of any comic book, and accordingly, reinvent them into however you see fit. Though it is your choice of how drastic the alterations should be, you are free to customize everything from a character's origin to motivations, identity, mannerisms, costume, powers, and world. Let your imagination run wild.

To apply for a character, fill out the application supplied below. If your application is rejected, do not despair! Simply rework what the Gamemasters tell you is wrong with it, or in the case of multi-applications, choose another character. All players are welcome, regardless of membership status or postcount.

    RULES:

    1. You may choose any character appearing in comic books and revamp them for Ultimate continuity. Any character appearing in manga, anime, etc are off limits.

    2. You are allowed a maximum of two characters.

    3. You must post at least once every week, though it is preferred you post more, or your character will be up-for-grabs. Failure to post after a month will result in removal from the roster.

    4. PC's are not to be killed without permission. Nameless NPC's are fine, but PC's or important NPC's will require authorization. Don't do anything random, such as destroying the universe, either. Such behavior is frowned upon.

    5. Several storylines can be going on at once, in order to interact with other players. If a player's character does not want to be involved in another's storyline, they do not have to. Consultation and communication are the keys to a good PC-to-PC interaction.

    6. Sidekicks and legacy characters will be required to be permitted by the player orchestrating the mentor's role in the universe.

    7. You can travel anywhere on Earth or off-planet, provided it is within your character's means. Time-travel is forbidden, unless it is specifically required of your character choice. (IE: Booster Gold, The Doctor, The Legion of Super-Heroes)

    8. You are your character, so act like them. Create or portray their mannerisms, powers, and ideals to how they have been established in the game. BE the character - do not, under any circumstances, play yourself as the character.

    9. Respect the Gamemasters. If they make a request of you regarding the game, listen to them. Failure to adhere to GM or moderator requests will result in expulsion from the game.

    10. Be creative, and do not be afraid to try new and exciting things with old concepts. This is a new continuity - the laws of the regular Universes are not set in stone.

    11. All regular forum rules apply.

    12. And finally, the most important rule of all: Have fun. Never take the game too seriously, or you will have lost the point. Heated arguments between players can result in probation or infractions - do not ruin it for other players. It is only a game.

    The Singular Universe
    Character Application

    Character you wish to portray:
Dr. Jonathan Crane A.K.A. ‘The Scarecrow’

Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Villain

    Powers and physical attributes:
    -Master of The Mind:
Dr. Crane received a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Metropolis University. Not only that, he seems to have a natural affinity for figuring out peoples mental processes fairly easily and efficiently. Though this was originally used for good, and allowed him to have the highest rehabilitation scores in the clinic, he now uses it as The Scarecrow. He is known for breaking the sanity of all of his therapists with only his words, given enough time. Because of this, his therapist is rotated every two weeks.

    ‘Deadly Dancing’
A specialized fighting style Scarecrow created himself. He is quick and indirect in his attacks, and known for his evasiveness. This style is a mix and match of Drunken Boxing, as well as Crane Style Kung Fu. Crane learned Drunken Boxing in College while in Metropolis, and Crane Style Kung Fu from a foreign student at The University of Gotham he became good friends with.

    King of Chemistry: Fear Toxin.

Inhalant only currently, though Scarecrow is working on diversifying it. While a tolerance to his toxin may be built up based on repeated exposure to it, it is virtually unheard of to resist it the first time you are ever dosed. The Toxin first disorientates the recipient, before making them live through their greatest fears. Currently..
Small Dose: Makes the recipient have a mental breakdown, and experience the more panic inducing and stressful situation their mind can perceive. It may cause convulsions, hallucinations, difficulty breathing, increased pulse, and a list of other things. It also creates mental issues (usually ‘flashbacks’ of the event) that may persist up to a few weeks. Standard use of Scarecrow on those he needs to gas. Episode Lasts usually half an hour.
Medium Dose: Runs the risk of permanently destroying the sanity of those that receive this. This is usually a alternative to killing one of Scarecrows enemies, as once they get this, they won’t ever be a significant problem again. The toxin itself lasts anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours.
Large Dose: Guaranteed to destroy the mind of the recipient. The effects can last for up to a few days, and Scarecrow usually only carries enough Toxin on him to use this once.

Scarecrows Mask Scarecrows burlap mask actually has a very effective, yet simple method in it to act as a gas mask that he learned from a book on Vietcong. This keeps him from accidentally gassing himself, while allowing him to simultaneously intimidate his enemies. It is, however, unneeded, as he has used his toxin on himself so many times he is nearly immune to it, having minimal effects.

Crow Carnage: His group of Crows will do his bidding, the group is lead by his main Crow, Nightmare. They can be used to great effect as messengers, spies, assailants, thief's, and a multitude of other things.

Origin and backstory (as you see it):
Jonathan Crane was born to two fairly normal parents in the city of Metropolis. His father was a Professor at the University of Metropolis. Unfortunately, only two years after his birth, they died in a car crash. He lived with his Aunt in Metropolis until five, where his Aunts failing health made him completely relocate to Gotham to live with his Grandmother. She was a religious zealot, and when he misbehaved, she would tell him he needed to be more like Jesus, and lock him in an abandoned church for hours at a time, and have her own trained Crows attack him. Well, all except one. As he grew older, this one crow slowly became not his pet, but his friend. His only friend. The Church was dilapidated and dark, and being locked in this Church severely physiologically traumatized Jonathan. However, unlike most boys his age, he took a Scholarly interest in his Fear, and quickly became obsessed with the feeling. In himself, and others.
When he became a teenager, his grandmother became too sickly to punish him in that awful way anymore, though he began to be severely bullied at school by other kids, and was routinely mugged and beaten by them. During the prom, the girl he asked out on a date (Rose Trimmel) rejected him for a football player who routinely picked on him, routinely calling him “Scarecrow” not only for his lanky frame, but also the Crow that seemed to follow the boy wherever he went.
The crow eventually disappeared when Jonathan went to Metropolis University to get his Degree in Psychology, wishing to continue upon his father’s experiments revolving around Fear. Nor did it ever return when he returned to Gotham and got a job as a Professor at The University of Gotham.
He was fired for his eccentricities, and for allegedly brandishing a loaded gun in class, and shooting a potted plant to demonstrate sudden panic, and fear. However, a shard of the pot hit a young girl, and his career was over.
Now he works by day at Arkham Asylum, responsible for the lower class more manageable ‘guests’, usually just psychopaths. Though he did aspire to eventually work with Gothams REAL Monsters, like Joker or Riddler.
He has harbored a hatred for both Rose Trimmel, his grandmother, and the bullies who made his life Hell for many years now, and still keeps tabs on their locations. It is only as of late that Dr. Crane feels like the burning need to seek Vengeance is nearly to the point of overtaking his logical willpower…
Why have you chosen this character?: Scarecrow is my favorite Batman villain, and I’ve always wanted to RP him!

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: I’ve been Roleplaying for many years now, and while my own skills may not be perfect, I can work with other PC’s very well, and am very communicative and respectful to others characters (unless I’m trying to kill you).

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, three paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue:
Cranes pulse was racing as the door to the decrypt old building slowly opened, revealing dust and overgrown plants covering the inside of the Nave. He slowly stepped inside, his shiny black shoes making a striking contraction against the dirty and old floor. His bright blue eyes scanned the environment, and He remembered in his youth the windows had been all bordered up, yet now one or two of them had been smashed open, allowing a small amount of sunlight to slip into the dark church.
Jonathan could nearly feel the bloodthirsty crows of his grandmother tearing and nipping away at his young pink flesh. He felt nauseous and disorientated. Still, he must press on. He felt the weight of a small suitcase in his left hand, and felt his body moving seemingly without his control. He walked slowly and deliberately up the pews, to the Altar. Here, he placed his suitcase and blew the dust away with a short breath. He heard a small rustling deeper in the church, where it was sure to be even darker and dustier. He turned his head and looked at the door leading into the back of the Church. He had gone that way only once in his life, and he hadn’t ever planned to return that way before… Yet now, everything felt different. He heard the small noises in the back of the Church begin to grow more agitated, and he felt adrenaline release itself in his veins.
Despite his best efforts, he was beginning to panic from the Fear of this horrid place. From the traumatization that happened when he was but a boy in here. Why did he need to come back here so badly..? To face his past, and finally let it go..?
All at once, clarity filled the young man’s mind. He knew why he had come. He had come to Embrace the Fear that had cost him his childhood, and use it to Avenge himself! Against all those who had ever wronged him! He wanted to teach these people fear, Fear like he had known.
Suddenly, the noises in the back stopped all together, and Jonathan realized he had been quiet deep in thought. A silence descended on the Church that was heavy and ominous, perhaps even worse than the strange stirrings he had heard before. It was as if whatever had been moving had finally noticed him, and wasn’t sure what to do yet. Jonathan tried to calm his breathing and count in his head, standing slightly crouched over his brief case at the Altar, trying to be dead silent. He felt like this was it; he was finally going to Embrace the Fear that had ruled his life for so many long years.. About to be united with this constant Terror.

”COME GET ME YOU FLYING BASTARDS!” He felt himself screech towards the doorway leading into darkness and farther back. He had no control now, and all at once it felt like thousands of black missiles shot out of the Darkness at once, and engulfed not only him, but the entire Nave and Altar. They cawed and screeched back with furious anger, and bite and pecked at his flesh where they could. He cried out in pain and fell to a fetile position, trying to use the Altar as some form of cover. One of the screeching black monsters attacked his suitcase, and it fell from the Altar onto his head, temporarily dazing him.
Yet as the crows flew about in their fury and ripped into his flesh and pulled his hair and cut at his standard black suit, he saw through the tears of pain a single crow land in front of him, and cock its head to the side. It seemed to be the biggest out of all the crows, almost the size of a cat. It also had a cut along its face creating a scar on the left side of its face. It squeaked at him and ripped open the briefcase allowing a small amount of burlap to fall out.

A particularly vicious crow swooped down just then, and bit his nose before swooping back and biting his ear. He reached out with his heart pounding and tears in his eyes and grabbed at the burlap, before fiercely ripping it from the suit case and shoving it onto his head. With a gasp, he felt.. Power.
He stood up and broke free from the crows assault, yelling out with nearly a Inhuman vigor,
“I. AM. THE SCARECROW! AND I SHALL NOT FEAR YOU… ANYMORE!” He swiped a hand and hit two crow to the ground, before pointing at wall and yelling out “OBEY ME!”

Surprisingly enough, the crows still seemed as energized and enraged as before and very surprised at his fighting back against them. They seemed hesitant, but when the largest crow did as Scarcrow commanded, the rest quickly follow suit. He began to giggle like a child that has discovered something amazing, as he noticed wherever he pointed in the Church, the crows would fly to. He even had two pick up his briefcase and set it back on the Altar. The largest crow flew over and landed on the Altar next to him with a caw, and he looked at it with genuinely affectionate eyes behind his burlap mask of protection.. And insanity.
“You.. You saved me. My little friend from when I was in High School..
    You..Helped me end my..Nightmare.
    Yes… Nightmare..”
He smiled and petted the head of the bird, which it seemed to squawk happily.
“Come, Nightmare. We’re going to be needing a few things for what I have in store..”
With that, Scarecrow picked up his briefcase and casually walked into the darkness of the door in the back; into the back of the Church where his tormentors had once lurked. Yet now.. . He joined them. The crows followed their new master eagerly into the darkness.

Here's my first character, since the CS was done at the interest check. I know we have people interested in Daredevil as well as Spider-man, so both of you should expect PMs from me when that time comes.

    The Singular Universe
    Character Application

Character you wish to portray: Leonardo

Hero, villain, or walking the line?:
    Hero

Powers and physical attributes: Leonardo is (or will be) an anthropomorphic, mutant turtle. The X-Gene ooze that was spilled on him, his brothers, and his father granted them all with super human strength, agility, speed, dexterity, endurance, and a slight healing factor. On top of that, it made he and his brothers’ shells bullet proof.

The Turtles and Splinter also have an innate knowledge of ninjutsu and the martial arts.

Origin and backstory (as you see it): Our story begins, as most do, a long time ago. In Japan, during the 15th century, the time of the samurai, a new order of warrior began to emerge, known to the world as shinobi, but we commonly know them as ninja. Silent and deadly, these warriors struck from the darkness, performing deeds the more noble samurai deemed “unworthy”.
The centuries went on, and as they did, the ninja became more powerful in the Land of the Rising Sun. And among these ninja clans, one stood above all in power and ferocity.

    The Hand.

The Hand’s methods were so secretive, they were believed to be supernatural. Their missions always ended in success, and in their case, success meant a multitude of bodies that needed burying.

But little did their clients know, The Hand’s methods were supernatural. Long ago, the leaders of the clan made a deal with a Tengu, a demon, known only as The Beast, to give them power above all other warriors. Their wish was granted in return for spreading The Beast’s influence across the globe.

Their power grew up until the eighteenth century, when their connection to the evil Beast was discovered by two brothers, Hamato Yoshi and Hamato Oni. Yoshi and Oni were raised by the clan, and were ninjas themselves. But when they discovered the link to the ancient evil, as well as a plan to assassinate Japan’s shogun ruler and stage a coup, they decided to betray The Hand.

On the day of the planned coup d’état, Oni and Yoshi entered the palace with their fellow ninja, and led them directly into the shogun’s waiting troops. The brothers were pardoned and spared, though The Hand’s leadership escaped the massacre, swearing they would have their revenge.

A decade passed, and the brothers lived quiet lives from then on as farmers in the country side. That is until Oroku Saki, leader of The Hand, and his newly trained shinobi found them. Saki murder the men’s wives while they were at market with Oni’s one son. When the three men returned, Yoshi found his four sons bound at Saki’s feet. The ninja master taunted Saki be fore slaying his sons.
When Yoshi attacked, he was mortally wounded. But before dying, he called out to his brother and nephew, begging them to escape. And as Oroku Saki raised his blade for the killing stroke, Yoshi prayed for a chance to exact revenge, telling Saki they would meet again.

Now, in the present day, Doctor Curtis Connors works for Oscorp, attempting to develop a serum to heal infirmities using the abilities of the X-Gene, what gives mutants their powers. Along side of him are two interns from Midtown High’s science program: Gwen Stacy and April O’Neil, both of whom are in charge of Connors’s animal test subjects.

Why have you chosen this character?:
The TMNT are my absolute favorite, and the ability to tie them into the Marvel Universe with some pretty interesting applications is just too much to pass up.

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: An experienced, dedicated player.

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, three paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue:

This guy is fast. A lot faster than the news makes him out to be. Which is surprising. I’m a lot slower than he is, as are my brothers, but you don’t see us plastered all over the news and newspapers like he is. You’d figure he’d want to be a little more secretive about his…uh…activities.

But then again, he’s human. Or mostly human. Not a six foot, talking, walking turtle with swords strapped to his back. Maybe he doesn’t mind being seen.

He leaps over yet another building, and as I do the same, his head snaps around like he heard me. Impossible. I know I made absolutely no noise. I’ve been trained better than that.

None the less, I’m lassoed around the waist and swung into the roof of the building he’s on. I roll and put up my hands, “Whoa! Dude! Chill! I’m not here to fight you!

He looks over his shoulder and then back at me, “In that case, question one: who are you. Question two: HOLY CRAP YOU’RE A GIANT TALKING TURTLE! That’s awesome.”

I’m Leonardo,” I say, putting out my hand. “And the second one wasn’t a question.

“I know. Sometimes I get too excited for my own good,” he says, accepting the hand shake. “You can call me Spider-man.”

(I will be coloring the Turtles' speech to each of their colors just to help distinguish them a little)

Of course. They're there for a reason. I don't see why not.

Henchmen, of course. Every bad guy needs his cannon fodder. As for something like Man-Bat, I'd run that by Master Bruce, as I know he'll be putting up one hell of a Batman CS.

Character you wish to portray: Daredevil

Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero

    Powers and physical attributes:
Although he is blind his body is in peak physical condition, especially his agility. All his senses are beyond the human limit aside from his vision. His most powerful sense is his hearing.

Origin and backstory (as you see it): Matt Murdock was born like any kid in a poor neighborhood. He was born in Hell's Kitchen. His father was a boxer named Jack Murdock, however he was known as Battlin' Jack Murdock. He was a boxer with skill and grace, huge muscles, but he was always broke.
When Matt saw his father shaking down a man for money, he ran away. His father chased him, but Matt crashed into a tank of chemicals when he looked away. The tank fell over and splashed in his eyes, it burned so bad he fell unconscious. His father rushed him to the hospital, but it was too late.
Matt was now blind, but his other senses sharpened. His hearing had gone from being able to hear people talk, to seeing them walk. He got something of an echolocation sense. His life didn't just go downhill. His father made a deal with them, they both try to be better. To be just, no lawbreaking, no cheating. Jack taught him to box and Matt learned as much as he could about everything.
Once Jack got some momentum going he was nigh unstoppable. But then he was told that he needed to take a fall by the Kingpin. On the night Jack was supposed to fall, he won by the skin of his teeth. After he was finished he went out to the parking lot where Jack was beaten to death, a single rose lay on his chest. Matt was still celebrating inside the arena.
When Matt came out he was greeted by his fathers dead body. No one reported the murder, no one offered him help, no one even put his body somewhere else.
Matt went to live in an orphanage. While he was in the orphanage he was bullied by kids with parents. And they beat him, Matt was offered teachings of self defense from a man named Stick. He was taught to sharpen his senses and feel the noise.
When the time came to face his bullies he did so with honor and grace, which is more than you can say about the other boys. They brought knives and bats but he disarmed them and beat them using a nearby trash can.
After High School Matt went to college to become a lawyer. After hearing rumors about sacrifices of virgins, Matt looked into it and found the ring. He decided that the only symbol they would fear was an angry devil.
He fashioned a costume out of halloween supplies and circus costumes and he chose the name, Daredevil. His only weapons were a pair of billy clubs strapped to his thighs.
After beating them senseless and dropping them off for the NYPD he followed up saving more innocents. He became a guardian devil. After finishing college he decided it was certain he'd dedicate his life to justice, one way or another.
So he returned to the most crime infested part of New York, The Devil's Kitchen. Where he would fight crime wholeheartedly.

Why have you chosen this character?: Daredevil is one of the greatest characters in the Marvel Universe.

What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: my writing skill

Provide a sample post as the character you wish to portray, three paragraphs or more and with at least one line of dialogue: At the center of Hell's Kitchen there is a church with a pastor named Franklin Arlen. He's served faithfully for years, and now he faces a battle of conscience.

"To find out that one of my flock is dressing up as a Devil, it is disgusting!" Cried the pastor.

"Father. I believe the greatest perversion of justice is to allow evil to thrive."

"So you masquerade as a devil!"

    "Father. I-" Matt started.

"Out. No member of my flock is a devil!"

After Matt walked out the door the pastor fell to his knees in front of the giant cross. "Lord Jesus. What am I to do?" He pleaded. Then a certain obese white man walked in. His presence was felt as he approached. It was time, ironically, to give the devil his due.

"Hello Pastor. Do you have my money."

Father Arlen shuddered,"Im afraid I cannot pay you in full today Mr. Fisk. I only have half the money."

"HAH AH HAH! You're just playing with me of course. You know what happens when conditions aren't met."

Arlen walked up to the donation box and pulled out his key, slipping it in as his fingers trembled. He twisted the key, opened the box, and offered it to Kingpin. Who snatched it and walked toward the door.

"Remember, you chose to live in my territory. This is basically rent," said The Kingpin as he walked out. But the entire time he was being watched by Matt Murdock, out of costume, just watching.

Matt walked back into the church and asked,"Is that the kind of evil you want to be on our streets. Not stopping him is a sin. We cannot allow him to simply tax us like a king."

Pastor Arlen bowed his head and said,"I agree. Perhaps we must prevent spread of his evil."

"You keep my secret, I keep this house of god safe." Matt said.

    Arlen said, defeatedly,"Deal."

Care for a superhero game with lots of action and politics at once?

I guess I'll just edit a sheet or two into this post.

Though, I have to ask: How much extraterestial stuff is going to be involved? Asgardians, Green Lanterns, etc?

James Bond being an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is tempting me to make Clint Barton into 006, hah.

I was planning on having all of them. New Gods, Avengers, Titans, etc.

When I came up with this game in my head, I always thought Bond, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Rick Flagg would be an insane special forces team. haha

Cool beans. Now somebody just needs to get Loki into the game.

I've got a few characters running through my head now, I have to go to work right now but I'll have something up tonight (in around 12 hours).

Maybe two. Depends on what characters are going and how things are shaping up.
