Eh. I can understand it. I don't like wasting material in samples.
Yeah, but a sample lets you know you can write, and it shows everyone else that you can write, and you have a voice with the character, and that you also have the time and energy to actually write. If you want to be a bitch about it, just write your first post out as a sample.

Batman would have been around for a little over three years, at this point, so very little is still known about him. The mob was pretty much run out of town (to set up the rise of the "freaks" and such), save for the Falcones and the Maronis, whose numbers are dwindling by the day. Street crime and gangs are the most prevalent source of Gotham's misery, save for the activities of The Penguin. Wayne Enterprises is pretty much as it is in the comics - a well-known industrial giant with more than a few side divisions. Arkham Asylum is on an island similar to The Narrows from Batman Begins, minus the whole "everyone's broken out" part. Blackgate Island is on the other side. Harvey Dent's the current DA and I'll be bringing in a new police Commissioner as Gordon's superior within the first few posts. The Joker's really the only supervillain Bats has dealt with so far.
That's pretty much all I've got. Anything else, you're free to interpret as much as you want.
This.
I'm at the point where I'm having to stop games I'm GMing 'cause my free time is shrinking. But I totally have time for a sample post.

Sorry. <3 I'm just feeling the squeeze, so to speak.
I'm just also doing something on the epic scale, and because of that I may not have time for the sample post for a few days. Priorities kinda thing. The rest of the sheet I'll post tonight. I would now, but I'm being dragged out to dinner. Sorry again!

Oh, I'm perfectly aware of why we need samples and I don't disagree with it, I can just sympathise to not wanting to write one.
Much like I can understand the necessity behind the job interview process whilst simultaneously not liking to go for interviews.
That said, you're right with the first post thing, I just like to give something different.
And it's cool if our characters stay pretty much within their own sub-plots?

I've got some basic experience in roleplaying (God bless your heart Byrd Man), thanks to some members on this page. But I havent done a coop yet. I'm open to trying it with any of you, if you'll teach me the basics.
