Well thank you, just trying to stay on par with all the quality being fronted by everyone else.

It seems I'm responsible for the confusion going around and I apologize, but in all honesty the predicament isn't as complicated as some of you may find it to be.

From the moment Hahne's aircraft docked at Omega, to the moment it departs--with her very much alive and it very much unknown by anyone else--a matter of maybe four hours has transpired. For all intents and purposes, let us all just assume that the mentioned broadcast was specific to Omega's airwaves; any instance in which someone attempted to replicate or redistribute it simply would result in it being scrambled. Beyond that, by the time someone on Omega had found the time, security, and logic in contacting the Citadel to report the rumor, they'd also be reporting the discovery that the rumors were indeed false; of course this wont become common knowledge to Omega's denizens until well after the series of battles have come to an end. What this basically means is that the gang-war that ensues has virtually nothing to do with Catherine Hahne so much as it simply being an event that gets everyone on Omega involved. This is an opportunity for you to write your characters and their organizations as being a few of the level-headed minds capable of profiting from this chaos. In general, much of the NPC, nameless gangs situated in Omega will "invest" too much of themselves in the war resulting in a political instability that not even Omega can right; some of them will simply disband, others will converge with more powerful gangs, and a few will come out in a position to make use of this crisis. Of course be reasonable, but beyond that be creative.

As far as how Hahne manages to stay on schedule to her visit to Illium; I figure we can all agree that Councillor Hahne is a woman with many resources and has the respect of enough people--or just the right ones--to effectively utilize those resources. Which resources? How about the trust and assistance of some of Naval Alliance's highest officers. It's extremely likely that she would've foreseen the possibility of her presence becoming known and as such taken measures to protect her reputation from being threatened by such an incident. How? She utilized her connections in the Naval Alliance to appropriate a cruiser for her travel to Illium, a cruiser which had a very public itinerary of her flight there. With that established she managed to escape Citadel space with a vessel that Commander Vega had allocated a day (or whatever) before the cruiser was meant to depart. After the incident on Omega and her departure, she manages to intercept the cruiser as planned, and continues to Illium as if nothing ever happened. No one's the wiser, and everything is able to proceed as it should.

Once again, sorry to throw anyone off.

Yup, can't see why that would have been confusing.

I got a picture up for my character sheet now.

“Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the Imperial Guard, and your doom is upon you. "

Hey all, sorry I've been bit absent these past few days, know a couple of people are waiting on me atm, work was getting hectic but that should be all be cleared up by this weekend so bear with me a little longer. Until then new character:

    Name: Nilo Farin
    Race: Lystheni Salarian
    Age: 15
Affilitation: Salarian Union, Citadel Council, Ex-Lystheni Revolutionary
Rank/Position: Personal Assistant/bodyguard to Councilor Toelin
    Appearance:

    Biography:

At the dawn of their space age the Salarians scattered to the stars founding a myriad of colonies and split cultures. One such was on the planet Lystheni, conditions of its atmosphere caused the Salarians that settled there to begin evolutionary diversion from mainstream Salarians. Darker skin and more elongated features than their mainstream cousins, the Lystheni became more naturally nocturnal as time went on. The colony became gradually more and more reclusive eventually forgoing any contact with the outside universe at all. It was almost 800 years before the Salarian union rediscovered the colony and attempted to establish contact, it did not go well

Official Salarian records say that upon attempting to reestablish contact with the planet that the inhabitants, believing themselves to be a superior race, killed or enslaved the diplomatic envoys. The Lystheni claim the Salarians who landed regarded them as a lesser mutated subspecies and were beginning plans to add Lystheni to the Union and reduce them to second class citizens on their own planet. they killed or captured the envoys only in the hopes of keeping Lystheni a secret. Regardless of which tale is true the results were the same, the Salarian Union dispatched a rescue mission which eventually broke out into a full scale war against the Lystheni who ended up hugely outmatched by their technologically superior cousins. Vastly reduced in number the Lystheni remained unrepentant and uncooperative leading the last remnants to be exiled from council space to the edges of the Terminous System where they remain to this day.

Nilo was raised upon the second variant of the war story and growing up he was fueled by his anger at the Salarians and the council. Early on like his father he became inducted into the Lystheni Revolutionaries, a terrorist group bent on race supremacy. Trained in stealth, espionage weapons Nilo took part in many of the groups military aspects becoming well respected by the leadership.

In the larger galaxy there were several movements looking to mend the wounds between Salarians and Lystheni Salarians, the apex of Nilo's career was to be the assassination of well known philanthropist and outspoken believer in Lystheni relations, Toelin Maras. The future Councilor was speaking at an assembly to address the issues where Nilo bypassed the security and set up to sniper the Salarian, luckily for the councilor Nilo wasn't able to find a good angle the shot fired merely grazed Toelin and security was then able to zone in on the assassin.

After the event and recovery, Toelin Maras sought to speak with Nilo in his incarceration, initially refusing, Nilo was eventually pressured into it when he discovered Maras wished to try and get him a pardon. Dialog between the two was difficult at first but over the next few months Nilo was confronted by questions going beyond mere nationalism and was touched my Toelin's genuine concern for him and the pacifistic nature went against everything he had been shown beforehand. Eventually Nilo denounced the revolutionaries and decided to take up a more meaningful life for himself. Offering to take up the position of Toelin's bodyguard as a means of atonement Toelin accepted and the two eventually became close friends with the Lystheni taking Toelin's message to heart. When Toelin became appointed councilor after the invasion Nilo continued to act as his chief bodyguard and also took on responsibilities as his personal assistant and is fiercely loyal to the Councilor.

    OOC Notes:

    - Originally I wasn't going to make a seperate profile for Nilo but given that Concilor Toelin will probobly be conducting all off-Citadel business through him I thought he could do with a bit more characterisation, saying that he still pretty much revolves around Toelin's character
    - I've expanded the canon a bit on Lystheni Salarians here, hopefully that's ok with people it looked like an interesting idea for a character concept, I can change details if we need to.
