    His Return [xlillyx and HR]

    Jamison 'Jamie' Anderson
    Age: 25 Years

    He was home.

He'd arrived back in America a few months ago but had been unconscious and fighting for his life still. Nearly a year ago he'd been shot out in Afghanistan and had been on a long road to recovery. Since then he'd had several operations. One to remove the bullet lodged next to his spine and several to repair the damage done to his left leg and arm. He'd suffered serious burns from an explosion as a result of been shot down in combat.

    But now he was home.

For now he was wheelchair bound. Though Jamison hadn't been paralysed, the bullet had caught an area close to his spine that did catch the movement to his legs. Over the last couple of weeks he'd regained some movement to his legs but now it was a case relearning to walk. For this reason he'd moved back in with his father.

Jamie loved his father, he really did, but the man worried over every little thing. What was he thinking? What was he feeling? Was he happy? Was he depressed? Was he in pain? His father just wanted him to be okay, but his constant worrying left Jamie exhausted mentally.

But here he was, finally home. His father had put a big welcome home sign on the door. 'Welcome Home Jamison'. His father had told the whole town that Jamie was finally on his way home. He'd been stuck in the capital, DC, for the last several months. But now he was finally back in his home town, Aberline, Montana

Since he'd left he'd grown up a lot. He looked older, rugged. His short brown hair that had been obligatory for the army had grown a lot, shaggy around his ears and his blue eyes were darker - colder looking. The signs that the man had seen a lot of horrific things out in the field. And joining the army had refined the 6'4 male. He was now 210lbs of muscle. Not a man to be messed with. But under his clothes now showed a lot of wounds. War wounds. He'd been to hell and back.

His mother had died several years ago after fighting breast cancer for years. He'd left two years later for war. He'd left his best friend behind, and the love of his life. What will have happened now? Was he going to come back to find Julia and Harry with open arms welcoming him back, or were they going to hate him for deserting them without a word. He had no idea and that's what he dreaded.

Several hours of his father driving, and they were finally here. A familiar place with friends and family. And he was looking forward to seeing some people that he'd been close with before he joined the army. But the journey to recovery was far from over.

    This was just the beginning.

    Julia Lanley
    22

    Seven years.

    Seven very long years.

A small cream colored hand held a paint brush as it finished the final touches on a pair of bright blue eyes. The short dark hair woman dipped the brush into the cup of water, washed the blue out, and dipped it in some black paint. She touched up on the pupils before she finished the painting. The woman smiled gently as she leaned back and looked over her artwork. This was the fifth painting that Julia had painted, that involved her long-lost childhood friend.

    Jamie.

Of course, Jamie wasn't actually lost. He left her though, without even a word, without even a notice, and the next thing Julia knew; Jamie was gone. That was to much for fifteen-year-old Julia to take. The light blue eyed woman looked towards the clock, it was four o'clock, and in an hour would the welcome home party. Jamie's welcome home party. Julia closed her eyes, it was only last week when Jamie's father finally told her what had happen to Jamie.

    Military.

Jamie had joined the military. Julia opened her eyes once she heard the front door open, she already knew who it was. She wasn't in the mood for a fight but she knew that one would be coming very soon. Julia stood up from her sit, she started to leave her studio that was at the end of the hallway downstairs. Julia had a two-story house, well three, if you would include the basement. Julia and Reece had bought the house together, though he had hinted towards her it was more of an engagement present for her.

"Harry!" Julia smiled brightly as she welcomed her older brother into her arms.
"Hey, little sister." Harry smiled as he hugged her back. "I can see you were busy painting." He smirked.
Julia had some paint smears across her face, she was wearing her old overalls, and a red bandana on her head. "You can never stop an artist from her work." She giggled.
The two siblings, walked to the kitchen, Julia pulled out two glasses from the cupboard, and placed them on the island that stood in the middle of the room. She went to the fridge, grabbed the cartoon of orange juice, and went back to the island. Her brother was already sitting on one of the bar stools, she sat on the other side, across from him.

"So what made you want to come over here?" Julia asked as she poured the orange juice in their glasses.
"I wanted to make sure, you don't go to his party." Harry spat out.
Julia rolled her eyes, ever since she told Harry that Jamie left them to go to the military, he wanted Julia to have nothing to do with Jamie. Harry already hated Jamie's guts anyway.
"Never knew you were my parent." She hissed at him.
"Mom and dad wanted me to watch over you after they left." He snapped back.

It had been two years. Her parents were taking a road trip down south to visit some family members. One night though, a drunk driver hit them head on, no one survived the accident. Neither Julia or Harry even had a chance to tell them good-bye, her father had died from impact, and her mother died heading towards the hospital.

"The will never said you were able to control my life! I'm a twenty-year-old woman, who is engaged to a wonderful man. I am not fifteen!" Julia yelled at her brother.
"I don't care! He left us, Julia! He walked out of your life, without even a word!" Harry yelled right back.
"I forgave him, Harry! Why can't you?" She asked with anger.
Harry narrowed his eyes at his little sister, he reached out, grabbed one of her arms, and turned it over.
"Explain this!" Harry pointed to her scars with his free hand.
Julia looked down to her scars, they covered her wrist, and her other wrist looked just this one. She looked back at her brother.
"I was angry at him, sure. I did some immature things, but I got over it. I matured, and grew up." Julia stated.

Harry huffed in annoyance, he dropped her arm, and stood up.
"Fine! Stay blind, but don't come crawling back to me when he breaks your heart again." Harry yelled before he stomped out of the house.
Julia sat in the kitchen, staring at the spot where her brother was sitting. She finally took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She knew that Jamie wouldn't break her heart again, or she hoped not.

    -----

Julia walked out of the bathroom as she slipped in one of her diamond earrings into her left ear. She was finishing getting ready to go to the party, she knew Reece wouldn't be home in another hour, so he wasn't able to come with her. She was already dressed and ready. Julia went to the front door, grabbed her car keys, and left the house; locking the door. She hopped into her car and headed off towards Jamie's fathers house.

Once Julia got to the house, it was already packed with cars, she smirked. Jamie was always the popular one. She parked along the road, left her car, and went to the house. Her eyes went up to the banner that was hanging outside, she could feel her heart speed up. Julia walked inside, smiling, and greeting everyone with either a hello or hug. She knew it would only be in a few minutes before Jamie and his father would be here. Was she really ready to face, Jamie?

Seven years was a really long time.

Jamie had been sure he was ready to see everyone again but now that they were outside his place, a house that he hadn't been back to for seven years, he wasn't so sure. He was tired, in some pain again and had a headache. Maybe a welcome home party wasn't the best thing. Or maybe he was worried about the two people he'd been best friends with growing up - if they would show and what they'd say.

As a boy, Jamie had been a reckless troublemaker but the military had soon kicked that out of him. He hadn't realised at the time, but joining the military had been the best decision he'd ever made. But he had believed he'd be killed out there at one point or another - at least when he'd first joined up. He had figured it was best just to cut ties with the ones he loved to stop the heartbreak before he ended up dead. It had been a twisted view, but at the time it had made sense. Now though, he wondered if it had been a mistake. His career was over due to his injuries and now he was back home to recover and face the music.

    To face Harry and Julia.

"You okay, son?" His father, Tony Anderson asked.

"Yeah, I'm just tired that's all." Jamie replied.

"I'm sure seeing everyone will cheer you up. Everyone has been waiting for this, Jamie."

No, his father had been waiting for this. On the way back his father had spoken about how he had used the best table clothes, his mother's best china and dinner sets, he'd even gone all out and paid for some caterers. Jamie did appreciate all of it, though he felt like an ass right now because he didn't want it. His father got out the car and grabbed the wheelchair out of the boot of the car and came around to help Jamie out. He felt inadequate now. He noticed how his father had adapted a ramp so that they could get him into the house.

And his father had gone all out. There were a lot of people inside the house and straight away they were applauding him like some kind of hero and Jamie dreaded finding out what kind of stories his father had told everyone. Probably something that made him look a hero. He wasn't a hero. His father thought he was though. He just hoped the stories weren't exaggerated too much.

His right arm had been severely burned in the attack that had almost taken his life, and Jamie, who had never been self conscious before, suddenly felt conscious and hid what he could under his jumper. "Jamie! It's so good to see you!" Someone grinned at him, Jamie recognised him as a family friend and smiled. He'd been here for all of five minutes and he now just wanted to go to bed and hide from the world for a bit.

That was until he saw her.

    Julia.

Seven years had changed a lot. She'd grown, and grown up. She'd become a beautiful and stunning woman and like seven years ago he felt his heart pounding in his chest, hiding his true feelings for her once again. He was surprised she'd come. But then again maybe she wanted answers. He couldn't see Harry.

"Julia." He spoke once he'd gotten to her. "It's good to see you again. You've grown." He felt like a schoolboy talking to his crush. This was Julia. They'd flirted ridiculously before he'd suddenly left. If he hadn't of left, who knew where things would have gone. Sighing, he looked at her, waiting to see what kind of welcome he'd receive from her.

Julia looked at all of the people inside the house. How many people did Tony tell? It seemed half the town was here. She hoped this wouldn't be to much for Jamie to take in. She glanced into the dining room and kitchen, Tony had gone full out for Jamie. A light smile spread across her face, she was glad that Jamie had his father to look after him.

Her fingers brushed her scars on both wrists. Neither of her wrists were covered, so everyone could see all of the scars. She wasn't showing them to rub them in Jamie's face, to show him how much pain she went through. No, she would never do that to Jamie. No matter where she went, Julia would wear her scars proudly, they were apart of her past, she had no shame in them.

From Jamie leaving with no goodbyes, and her parents dying before Julia even meant her wonderful fiance. It helped her mature a lot. She grew up a lot faster. She was still that little girl that was a half girly-girl, half tomboy at heart. The teenager that was 'cool' enough to ran around with her older brother and his friends. That some girl that spend hours flirting with.

    Jamie.

"Their here!" Someone called out from the front of the house.

Julia swallowed hard, it was time to finally face him. Her heart was pounding, she was having second guesses. Maybe she shouldn't have come here. No, that would be what Harry wanted. She was going to prove to Harry that there was a good reason to Jamie leaving. She watched as people went outside, or stood close to the door so they would be able to say their hello's to Jamie, and tell him how proud they were. Was Julia proud of him? Of course, she was. Even though she he left her, and she never knew that he went to the military, she was still proud.

'Life was never fair. It throws curve balls at you, takes you through challenges. All of them can make you stronger though, but only if you allow them too. Life can let you bloom into a beautiful rose or tear you down, until there is nothing left of you.' Julia thought as her breath stopped and her eyes landed on Jamie, sitting in the wheelchair. Hearing his voice again, made her light headed, she missed his voice. She missed seeing his face, staring into his eyes, and whispering to him during the nights they would sneak out of their houses, and lay in an empty field.

Julia walked up to Jamie, a smile spread across her face, she leaned down, and wrapped her arms around his neck in a hug. "It's good to see you too." She stood up straight. All of her emotions were on high, her skin felt like someone was poking her with millions of tiny needles. She wanted to ask him what happened, why he left, but he had just got here, and she would let him tell her on his own time. "It's good to see that you finally grew up and become a man." She smirked as she teased him. When he was still here, while they were young, and wild; she would always tell him that she was more mature, and smarter than him. She missed those days but she was hoping that they could make more and better memories now that he was back. But the future wasn't in her control.

Jamie was taken by surprise with the hug. He hadn't expected that and slowly his own hand came to wrap around her and it felt great. For a moment he felt on top of the world again before she pulled away and he came crashing back down to reality. He glanced down at the scars on her wrists and frowned, wondering what happened before looking back at her and listening to what she was saying. He wasn't stupid enough to draw attention to them in a crowded room. If people suddenly paid attention to his scarred arm, he'd be horrified and embarrassed. After all, Jamie was still coming to terms with his injuries.

He smiled slightly. "Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a man." He told her, feeling like he should explain himself. But he wasn't going to do it in a room full of people. And he had no idea what to say. 'Yeah, I went there believing I would die so cut contact with everyone except my father'. That was a pathetic explanation. "I take it Harry's not here because he hates my guts, right?" He asked, taking a stab in the dark at why he hadn't seen his former friend. He didn't blame him either. Maybe at one point he'd be able to go to Harry and try and explain something, give him the explanation he needed and deserved.

Everyone in the house had gone back to talking amongst themselves and to Jamie's father again. They'd had most of their words with Jamie on the way in and he was glad that for now, the attention was off of him. Julia still meant something to him. Even after seven years of been away. He could hear his heart thumping away in his chest and taking over his whole body. He was in love with her. He had been in love with her since she was fifteen. He was still in love with her. And he was a complete coward.

"You're a hero, Jamie." Someone patted him on the shoulder and he turned to see Gareth Brown, another one of his father's friends.

"I'm no hero..." Jamie immediately replied.

"They all say that." Gareth grinned, "but we all know the truth."

He then walked away and Jamie brought his attention back to Julia. "I wish they'd all stop calling me a hero." He spoke as he wheeled himself over to the table where the food lay. "I'm not a hero." He added, grabbing a plate with his good hand and trying to use his scarred hand to grab food. He had most of his strength back inside of it, but every now and then he'd have a twitch, loss of sensation or something which would cause him to lose his grip.

"So, how's life with you going? Seven years is a lot of catching up to do." He told her.

    ---

    Reece Whitlock
    27 years old

He'd finished a long hard day in the office and managed to get himself home an hour early. It was unusual and unexpected, something that was rare, but he was glad for it. He'd managed, with the help of his secretary, Sandra, to tie up all the paperwork on his cases for next week and get everything rolling for court dates and meetings. Now he was looking forward to relaxing on the sofa with Julia and maybe pushing forward with some wedding plans. Plus, he had another suggestion, though he wasn't sure how she was going to take it.

He pulled up to the three storey house he'd bought her as an engagement present earlier in the year. She really was the most beautiful thing on the planet and he loved her. If he didn't he wouldn't have asked her to marry him. As a commercial lawyer though, he was earning a hell of a lot of money, and he came from a wealthy family to start with. Money wasn't a matter to worry about for him, and he didn't want Julia to worry about money either.

Grinning, he got out the car and moved into the house. "Jules! I'm back early." He called out putting his briefcase on the table and loosening his tie. "Jules!" He called out again when he got no answer.

He did find Harry though in the lounge, not looking too impressed and watching tv. "Any idea where Julia's got too or you guys had another fight?" He'd noticed the siblings had being fighting a lot lately, and just put it down to siblings, but he felt like something deeper was the matter, not that it was his business to pry. He thought he got on rather well with Harry though, so maybe they could talk.

"Is everything okay between you and Julia? Last couple of weeks things seemed to have being tense." He asked, treading with caution.

Julia wasn't blind, she could see that for a none known reason to her, it seemed Jamie was being hard on himself. Was it the guilt? She wondered if he didn't want to be around all of these people, she could understand. He just got home, it's been seven years, and all of sudden, he was thrown into his old town, having to face a large group of people, and all of them wanting to speak to him at the same time. Even though Julia wasn't the center of attention, she was getting a little annoyed, and closed in.

Her soft pink lips turned into a frown when he spoke. She didn't understand what he meant by that, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to explain with everyone around them. Her eyes rolled when Jamie asked about Harry, she had hoped he would ignore the fact that he wasn't here. How could he though? Harry was Jamie's best friend. Julia sighed lightly. "He isn't here is because he is a immature brat, who won't let go of the past." She explained with somewhat annoyance.

Julia was the person who was able to forgive and forget, it may take some time at first, but she would finally get around it, and let go of the past. Not all people were like that, for example her older brother. Harry used to be best friends with Jamie, she didn't know why he couldn't forget about Jamie leaving, and just let him explain his reason. She knew and believed that Jamie would have a good reason.

Her thoughts were cut off when someone walked up to Jamie, though she was a little shocked towards Jamie's reaction. Why was he being so hard on himself? She knew something was up, she would have him spill his guts later. She followed him towards the table of food, she shook her head as he said he wasn't a hero. "Jamie, hero has many different meanings behind it. So everyone has a different view of why you are a hero to them." She explained gently.

"I know I have a completely different reason to everyone, to why you are a hero to me." Julia stated before she leaned down and gave him a peck on the cheek. Once she was standing up straight again, she brushed her short hair behind her ear, and shrugged her shoulders. "I continued high school, graduated, went to college for art, and now I'm a substitute art teacher, and sell my art work to art galleries."

Julia could remember when she was younger, she would always be carrying a sketchpad, and a pencil. She would stop along the sidewalk and start to draw a scene that interested her. When she was fifteen, she drew Jamie a lot, because she was always spending her time with him. She got her art skills from her mother.

"My parents died in an car accident two years ago." She explained. She glanced down to her ring finger, even though Reece had a lot of money, he let Julia pick out her engagement ring. It was a simple gold band, with a single diamond in the middle. She didn't want a huge ring, she wasn't a person for flashy.

Julia was scared to tell Jamie, about her engagement. She was afraid that he wouldn't want to be around her anymore if she was already taken. She knew they only flirted before he left, but she had grew strong feelings for Jamie. She thinks that was caused the most pain for her when he left, she never got to tell him her feelings.

    "I'm engage now."

    ----

Harry had went home, threw a few things, and calmed himself down. He wasn't sure why Julia was able to forgave him so easily. Of course, he knew that she loved him, but he left her without even a goodbye. Jamie left without even saying something to him; they were best friends, pretty close to brothers. Jamie didn't even talk to him about any thoughts of leaving. He mostly hated Jamie for causing his little sister that whole year of pain, suffering, and self-injury towards herself.

He had decided to go back to the house, see if Julia left yet, and try to talk her out of going before she went. Luck wasn't on his side though, when he got to the house, it was completely empty. No sign of Julia or Reece. Not wanting to go back home just yet, he made himself home in the lounge. He had turned the tv on, even though he wasn't paying attention, his mind was to busy with thoughts.

It didn't take long afterwards, for him to hear a car door. He figured it was maybe Julia, he realized it was Reece when he come inside, and yelled out her name. He kept quiet though. His hands were knotted together, as if he was in pray, and his shoulders were slouched forward. His body language didn't read 'happy', because he wasn't. His little sister was dumb enough to go after Jamie.

"I know where she went even though we need of another fight." He shrugged his shoulders. "Julia is just getting on my nerves because she won't listen to me, and instead she went back to Jamie. She went to his welcome home party, that's where she is now." His jaw clenched as he continued to talk.

Harry knew that Reece knew who Jamie was. Reece also knew about the scars, what she went through, when she was fifteen, she had explained that Jamie, her best friend, left her. Harry sighed heavily as he hung his head down.

"I don't want her hurt again."

Jamie sighed when Julia mentioned that she also saw him as a hero. "I'm nobody's hero, Julia. Please don't start seeing me as one. Whatever the reason." He sighed.

Jamie listened quietly to Julia, nodding at her comment about her brother and then about how she'd gone through art school. He'd always known that she'd be successful with her art. It was something she'd loved doing and she'd been good at it as well. She was an amazing artist. He'd seen a few of her drawings once when snooping around while waiting for Harry to get ready before they'd gone out one evening. Julia had been at a friends house or something and Jamie had snooped.

When she said her parents had died two years ago his stomach dropped. That was one thing he'd never heard. Her parents had been like a second home to him and he suddenly felt great sadness. "I'm sorry. I didn't know." He told her quietly. He'd know about it if he hadn't have left or had decided to keep in contact. But he hadn't. He'd chosen to cut contact and this was the price he'd paid. Sighing he looked away, ashamed.

And then she mentioned something that made him feel like he'd been hit by a roadside bomb. Something he definitely hadn't expected. But what could he say? He'd been away for seven years. Would she just sit and wait for him when she had no idea if he'd return or not - when she had no idea to begin with of the reason why he'd left in the first place? Heck, he had no idea at first if he was going to return. That's why he'd cut contact in the first place.

"Engaged." He managed to choke out finally. "Wow. Congratulations. Never thought I'd hear that. Who's the lucky man?" He asked, looking at Julia again. She was completely stunning and now he knew the price he paid for his decision back then was her. It wasn't like he could announce his feelings now. She was engaged. Probably to a man who deserved her more than he did. He was a coward. Not a hero.

    ---

Reece frowned when Harry mentioned that Julia had gone to Jamie's party. He wasn't jealous and he trusted Julia, but he was worried that something more was between them - or at least the past would be dragged back up. Sighing, he shook his head and sat down next to Harry. "Julia's got a good head on her shoulders. She might be a little too forgiving, but she's a good person. If she wants to see Jamie and get things straight, let her."

When Harry said he didn't want her hurt again, he nodded. "You don't have to worry about her getting hurt again. I won't let her. She's marrying me. Jamie won't get that close again. I'm sure she'll guard her heart even from his friendship." Reece explained.

He'd also talk to her tonight, make sure that she knew not to get too close to Jamie again. Military men always ended up disappearing again. Yes, he'd heard that Jamie was hurt, badly. But he'd go away once healed if he was able to him. And that would only break Julia's heart again. "Plus, if it helps I might go pay this Jamie guy a visit and let him know that if he hurts Julia then I'll be hurting him." He explained.

Reece wasn't a tough military guy like Jamie was, but he could hold his own in a fight and where Julia was concerned, he would fight for her and win.

Julia rolled her eyes when Jamie spoke about not being a hero. She didn't make a comment but instead rub the back of his head, running her fingers through his hair like she used too before he left. It seemed like a simple gesture to anyone else, but whenever Julia ran her fingers through his hair, she was always trying to calm him down or try to spill his guts. Julia wasn't stupid, she watched people's movements, and behavior. She would figure out little things that would trigger an emotion with someone. She blames watching to many Criminal Minds.

She glanced away when Jamie apologized, she could easily say some bitchy comment about him being able to not know, she wasn't like that though. "It's alright." The day her parents died, she had wished she was able to speak to Jamie, to hear his voice to tell her everything would have been alright; but Jamie decided to leave without a goodbye, so she had no way of telling him.

Julia moved so she was facing towards the doorway, she leaned back against the table, and placed her hands on it for support. She looked towards everyone else as she listened to Jamie asking about who's the lucky guy. A lazy smile formed across her lips. "Thanks. He's name is Reece Whitlock. Not from here. He's from the city." She explained.

Why did she feel wrong, telling Jamie about her engagement? She felt like a little kid again, telling her mom she did something bad. As if she stolen a cookie from the cookie jar before supper. She was happy and glad that she had Reece in her life, she loved him. Julia knew she used to have a huge crush on Jamie when she was fifteen, when they used to flirt a lot. Ever since Jamie left, she had lost that spark towards him a long time ago. So why did she feel like this?

    ----

Harry glanced towards Reece when he sat beside him. He snorted when Reece spoke about getting things straight. He rubbed the back of his neck, as he continued to listen to Reece. "Guard her heart? If I know my sister, she's probably going to try, and get that friendship back. And that's what I'm worried about." He stated with a shake of his head.

Harry rubbed his face with a heavy sigh. "If you do go talk to Jamie, before careful, because if he decides to ignore Julia while he is here, all hell would break loose." He explained and shook his head. He didn't know what he was going to do with his little sister, he didn't understand why she was so forgiving towards Jamie.

"If I were you, I would let Julia be around Jamie for a little while, and once he explains everything to her, why he left. If she doesn't cut off the contact with him, than you should. Because there is no reason, she needs to be around him after she knows why he left." Harry explained.

Her hand always seemed to sooth his anger. Her hand running through his hair did wonders. But she shouldn't be doing it. She was engaged. He was pretty sure that he wouldn't want her running her hand through another man's hair like she was if he was getting married to her. But she wasn't getting married to him. He had royally fucked that right up. He sighed, finally eating some of the food he'd dumped on his plate.

He also knew that the hand through the hair movement was to try and get him to relax enough to talk. That wasn't happening. He wasn't going to talk about certain things. Especially the accident and how he wasn't a hero. Because he wasn't a hero. It was that simple. He would eventually explain why he left, when or if they were ever on their own. But not in a room full of people.

"Marrying a city slicker then? Take it he's some rich city kid then?" He had no idea how right he was. When he imagined marriage, he imagined him and Julia getting married. Her marrying some rich city slicker didn't sit right in him. It didn't feel right. But then again who was he to say what was right and wrong. As a coward and chickening out his feelings for her, he'd lost his chance and paid the price.

"I'm sure your fiance doesn't want you running your hand through my hair, plus, I'm not spilling my guts out here." He added, just to confirm things.

    ---

Reece sat there listening to Harry. "I don't want to be the controlling bad guy. That won't sit well with Julia. She doesn't like being told what to do." He sighed, he didn't like this Jamie guy already because of all the pain he'd caused Julia, but at the same time he didn't want to be the bad guy with Julia. He was sure that she'd hate him if he made her cut contact with him once and for all once she'd found out the reason for him leaving.

"I think I'll see how it goes. It's a hard one. I'll see what happens and make my move when the time comes. I'll talk to Jamie at one point and just give him the casual 'you break her heart again and I'll break your legs' talk." He told Harry.

He sighed. "Can't do much before then. I would go over there, but I don't know him and though I know Julia, I feel like I'd be intruding and unwelcome." He told them. He did want to be by his fiancee's side though, if only to protect her from Jamie.

Julia looked up and smirked when Jamie called Reece a city slicker, she shrugged her shoulders when he asked if he was a rich kid. "He's a lawyer, you can connect the dots." She smiled. She knew Jamie probably didn't like the idea of her marrying a rich city guy, but he left her with a word, so he couldn't have a word in this. Of course, if he would be comfortable about it, she wanted him to go to her wedding. He was her best friend, no matter what, she wanted him there; if it would be to awkward for him though, she would understand.

Her hand reached out and grabbed a couple of carrot sticks that was on the veggie plate. She looked back at Jamie though when he spoke about her actions and how he wasn't going to spill his guts. Julia smirked and shrugged her shoulders. "Good to see I can still have you in the palm of my hand." She laughed softly. "Reece is just my fiance. He doesn't own me." She said completely seriously and stared straight into Jamie's eyes. "Plus, it's good to know that you will spill your guts to me."

Julia looked away, she looked towards the crowd that was in the living room, she took a bite of the carrot even though she felt like she was going to throw up. She felt nervous, as if she was holding some big secret, and she couldn't tell Jamie. Julia knew though, she was afraid to hear the truth from Jamie, to why he left, why he cut off the contact with her.

She had so many questions though.

Of course Harry knew that his sister didn't like being told what to do, but sometimes you needed to put your foot down, and say enough. She may be angry for a few days but Harry thought that would be better than her being around Jamie and him breaking her heart again. Harry looked towards Reece and shrugged his shoulders. "Better hope Julia doesn't find out that you had that 'casual' chat with Jamie, you may be on the couch for a while."

Harry shrugged his shoulders. "Do whatever, but I'm heading out. I just wanted to see if Julia was still here or not." He stood up and stretched before heading to leave. "See ya another time." He waved towards Reece than left the room and soon out of the house.
