Hello fans and newcomers to DBZ. I’d like to present to you a roleplay taking place in the Dragon Ball Z universe. This does not mean you will see all or any of the cast/main characters from the series or manga's. However you will see the resemblance of how this rp is Dragon Ball Z! (This also means you do not have to be highly knowledgeable of dragon ball z. You could have watched the show a few times, or have watched the whole series like myself and still take part in this rp.)
Future Warning:
I would like if people would, if they are Namek, Tuffle or Saiyan, to please start out on earth. If you really insist on starting on another planet PM me. However I am telling you now. I will discourage it and highly suggest possibly even tell you to make your character start out on Earth because this will make character interaction easier/help the story or plot.
Setting:
The world is currently at peace; it has been for a very long time. Despite the tranquility heroes still train so when dark times arise, they can put their lives on the line to protect their beloved home planet known as Earth. Many spacepods harboring Saiyan children and Tuffles have landed on earth over the past couple decades. What brings these unknown races to Earth? This is a question even the Saiyans inhabiting earth are unaware of. And the Tuffles are reluctant or afraid to tell...
The Tuffle home planet and temporary Saiyan home planet Vegeta temporarily embrace freedom. The Saiyan race finally overthrew the tyrannical ruling of Lord Shivah. (Shivah is the same race as Frieza.) However Shivah is now deceased due to his failed attempt to destroy planet Vegeta.
As the Saiyans celebrated the death of the being known as Shivah. King Vegeta would not be so easy to rejoice. Secretly the king sent several space-pods harboring Saiyan infant/children to planet earth knowing the planet would be an easy place for his Saiyan blood to take root. He then sent his son, Shadrok on several missions.
Shortly after Shadrok was sent off on his missions, Arctix the brother of Shivah, made a visit to planet Vegeta. Arctix not only destroyed the planet of Vegeta, but practically wiped out the whole Saiyan & Tuffle race.
Our story begins on planet Earth. It doesn't matter if you are an earthling who has known nothing other/more than your beloved home planet or a Saiyan, Tuffle or Namek calling Earth your new home. All that matters is we do whatever it takes to keep our home safe.
SAGAS:
This rp will have a SAGA system. Meaning on my first post on the OOC, a section will be dedicated to labeling the current SAGA taking place in the RP. There will be Peaceful SAGAS indicating times of tranquility and training (not to mention character development.) World Tournament SAGAS will also occur indicating when Earth will have their world martial arts tournaments. Also as villainous troublemakers put their plans into action the PEACEFUL SAGA or WORLD-TOURNAMENT SAGA'S will be replaced with the name of said villains. (Example: CELL SAGA, FRIEZA SAGA)
Alignment:
I also ask people create neutral, anti-hero or good aligned characters. Meaning I will handle making the tyrannical villains. (I may accept help as well. Though this will most likely be a rare thing.)
My Role as GM:
Since I will be playing as the villains or antagonists for the rp, I will also be playing the major npc's or smaller roles for the rp. These roles include King Yemma, Korin, Earth Guardian, Shenron (the dragon summoned by the dragonballs.). Since these roles will be minor or hardly seen in the major story, but will still need someone to rp as them. (Also I will add to this list as characters appear/are used.)
Power level system:
In Dragon Ball Z people tend to measure their strength by a system known as Power level. I have created a minor Power level system. This is so people can be more accurate when sensing other people’s power. It will either be low, medium or high. This system will make interactions between characters smoother. So someone doesn't sense someone else's power and give them too low or too high of a reading. This will also give you all a sort of vision of the power level of the villains in comparison to your characters.

Power level: (This will be either Low or Medium. The average power level for earth is low.)
Energy knowledge: Can your character perform techniques such as Flight or basic ki attacks.
Techniques/Abilities: (Includes any powerful ki attacks (Example: Kamehameha, Destructo Disk, special beam canon and much much more.) Can also include any named abilities physical or energy based.)
Bio: This is all about you. He/She's uprising to who they are today.
Equipment: (Do you wear a sword into battle? Carry dyno-caps to make traveling easier? Carry any special tech or gear?)
Other: Place here if you are involved with important companies like Capsule Corp. If you hang out around The lookout a lot. Or you can simply store information here that others should be aware of, if they are involved with the rp.
Personal notes: Saiyans do not have super Saiyan yet. It is currently a rumor/legend...
I have nurfed or weakened the storyline so characters don't need to be op or excessively powerful.
Also, Zenkai will not be nearly as potent as it is in the DragonBall Z series. Zenkai is the experienced gained from receiving injuries and healing from said injuries. Meaning people cannot exploit Zenkai to gain power faster then other characters. However this doesn't mean your character can't talk about it (In IC) like its present.
Rules: 0. No OOC in the IC 1. This is saiyanLegends RP, Not funamations/akira toriyama 2. Respect others and play nicely; those are people on the other side of the computer you're staring at. 3. Do not create over powered characters. If I have reason to believe you are being unfair or op you risk getting that character completely removed from the rp. 4. Please be for the greater good. This means do not make villainous characters; leave them to the gm's. 5. Ask SaiyanLegend about/for learning skills for an accepted character already in the RP. 6.No arguing, If two people can’t decide how a fight ends I will do it for them. If someone persists to show this problem I will remove them from the roleplay. 7. No instant transmission. 8. For plot reasons, no blasts powerful enough to destroy the Earth. 9.No ping-ponging- meaning don't bounce between interactions with characters until you get a response. Be patient and wait for responses. 10. Place on the top of your cs: Earth’s Special Forces. 11. I can add and remove rules to improve the roleplay at any time. Please read rules often. 12. Breaking any of the rules will result in a warning. If you continue to break rules or cause trouble you highly risk being removed from the roleplay entirely. 13. Pick from the Available/Playable races list when creating a character. 14. NO ONE LINERS. I put effort into this rp, put effort into your posts. 15. No killing other peoples characters without their approval. This goes for my npc's/characters as well.

I'm not asking that. I'd love to be in your roleplay. I love DBZ I'm just saying that "No Overpowered Characters" is a contradiction to "Saiyan." I just find it funny, is all.
Saiyan's are not over powered because they can still be defeated, they are just more powerful than the other characters yes but that doesn't mean they are over powered
if they were over powered they wouldn't be able to be deafeted

the point is not being Op, Saiyan's are not OP they are just more powerful then the others, still dosn't make them Op
you might as well call every character in everything else that is slightly stronger than the rest OP if you think this
