    Rise of Mankind IC

Time: 8:00 AM, rise of a new sun.
    Date: February 2, 8512

Alexander had been sitting in the lonely underground den which belonged to him and the Der Lauter. This was their secret hideout, along with dozens of others scattered across Gaia's surface. Today was a special day and he had sent his falcon to deliver letters to all of the other Der Lauter to meet him at this specific hideout for a meeting. They were to discuss about the security of a nearby local human village that had been terrorized for ages. He sat down on his desk, his coat off and and his covering most of his face in the dimly lit room. He sat with his hands to his face, staring at the map of Gaia that had been sprawled on the table aside from a couple of pipes, daggers, or mugs for drinks, and a candle or two.

"Hm, let's see the letter said it'd be around here somewhere," she mumbled to herself staring down at the paper with her eyes of different color, one red and one a vivid blue. She received the letter from their leader, Alex as she calls him for short, asking to meet in a specific location. "This seems to be it," as she made her way to the underground. She searched her pockets for her lighter as she flicked it a couple times before it lit the flame, "should be this way," and moved her way through the underground. "I take a guess this is it," looking at the underground den that she had spotted, she gave the coordinates a quick look over and gave a nod that this was. "Alex," she started out as she made her way in, "it's Ray," as she liked to be called for short. She found him sitting at his desk and looking over a map of Gaia. "Don't strain yourself to much," she chuckled and pulled her jacket off as she hung it up, "looks like im the first here." She raised her arms over her head and let out a yawn, "damn I hate early mornings," she complained having one hand on his desk and leaning against it with her feet crossed and propping her up.

Grent sighed as he walked out of his cottage, making sure that all of his armor was on. After a long night's rest, he was finally ready to take on the challenge of life under the vampire's rules. Stretching his bulky muscles, the giant decided that a bit of hunting was in order. He needed the meat, after all. He walked to his tool shed, which was connected to the side of his quaint little house. Fumbling with the small, to him, keys, he finally opened the shed and started to root through the junk of iron scraps, molten tongs, and leather.

Grabbing his trusty war hammer, Grent ventured into the nearby forest, searching with keen eyes for any deer. Passing by a hidden cave, he decided to take a peek inside. Hopefully there would be bears.

That would make for a decent exercise.

He wasn't disappointed when he heard a massive roar. Turning around, he leapt back as a paw, as big as his head, came crashing into the ground, making a small crater.

"Ya a big one, aren't ya?" he asked in his guttural tongue, moving aside as the massive beast struck where his foot was a second ago. Deciding that it was his turn, he rushed up to it, swinging his left hand into a wild haymaker.

    *SMACK! CRUNCH!*

The beast roared and lurched backwards, its muzzle cracked beyond repair.

"Yah, ya' like that, ya big furry sack o' puss!" Grent yelled in triumph, swinging his right hand forward, his war hammer following in an arc.

    *CRUNCH!*

Grent slowly walked out of the cave, the massive bear's carcass hung over his shoulder, on the other side of his sheathed war hammer.

"You gon' make a big meal ta'night, fella'."

    the Silence of the Night...."

Peter needed food. He had been scouring the outskirts for days now.
He needed some meat, as he had lost a lot of food when he had to expectantly run away from a few vampires. Now he needed to hunt for game. He found a deer grazing on some grass. He shouldered his rifle. Bullet drop would not matter this close, and wind was almost non-existent. He slowly aimed the cross-hairs to the game. However...
    *SMACK! CRUNCH!*
He was startled and the deer ran away at the sudden sound. "Goddammit...." That was a pretty loud sound, so he decided to check who it was. He didn't have anything left to hunt, as he saw the woodland animals scamper.... He scanned around until he saw.... Whatever it was. It was like a huge ogre, and he had killed a bear. He stared through the scope for a few more seconds in amazement and then turned his safety off. He wouldn't take any chances- The vampires could of invented the freakin thing. He dialed the bastard in, and fired a round off. He heard a ping sound, and he saw the bullet ricochet off the... Thing's armor. "SHIT...."

Grent continued to drag the bear away, humming a sailor's tune under his breath. Suddenly, his bear got all itchy, and he hesitantly scratched it, wondering why he had a peculiar feeling....

    ~Ping~

He lurched forward half a step, wild eyes now looking around angrily. That could only come from a gun! A fucking sniper rifle! What were vampires doing in these parts of the forest....HIS part of the forest! Giving out a primal roar, he searched around the immediate area, his nose twitching for the specific scent of vampires.

    Ash.

For some reason, he didn't smell any. Ah well, they may have masked it. He could tell from the accuracy of the bullet that the vampire was most likely a hunter or hitman. They tended to mask their scent so that the prey wouldn't be able to sniff them out.

Swinging his head around angrily, he suddenly spotted a dot on top of a nearby hill. Closer observation showed it as a humanoid figure....a gun in his hands.

    A large, bulky gun.

"YA FUCKIN' VAMPIRE! I'LL CAVE IN YOUR SKULL!" Grent roared towards the figure, charging forward angrily. His momentum gave him an extra speed boost, and the small saplings easily crashed under the pressure of this behemoth. Arriving towards the small hill, he easily made the small leap, clearing the distance quickly. He started a charge towards the humanoid creature, bring out his war hammer for an over head swing.
He was easily taller than the 'Vampire', at least by a few feet. This didn't pause him, however.

    Vampire scum was vampire scum.

    "DIE VAMPIRE COWARD!"
    "Whispering....
    the Silence of the Night...."

Kota nodded, ignoring her comment about the straining. "I can take care of myself." He said, skimming the map over with his finger as he checked the distance from the closest Vampire city's and routes where vampires could take in order to invade the nearby Human Village. "Check the supplies for me, darling." He said, standing up and putting his coat back on and walked over to a wall, pressing a brick and walking inside to check up on the records of deaths of the village.

She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes, "yes sir and don't call me darling or you'll end up with a foot where you won't want it to be," she turned quickly having her long raven black hair move around her and sway slightly as she moved towards the supplies. "Swear it's like he cares about anyone but himself," she mumbled quietly to herself as she took inventory of there supplies and let out a soft sigh past her lips. Then again why should she suspect any good treatment from anyone she was pretty much a bitch herself, she was only nice when well someone didn't annoy her. She just shrugged her shoulders and focused back on the supplies, "looks like we got plenty," and turned back where she was before. Alex was gone off doing something as usual checking up on things and she just took a chair and kicked her feet up on his desk while leaning back on the chair and didn't say anything to bother him.

"What the..!!!" For a big beast, it was fast. He started to run back as the thing charged, shooting a round off here and there, but it's armor prevented it from taking any damage. At least he was much faster than the beast, it would only get remotely close when he paused to fire. This was going nowhere though. ....

The dark figure kept getting closer, and closer...Rosa ran and ran, dodging in and
Our of the trees watching the figure chase her "Stop it!I didn't mean to...I need to eat! Its not my fault."She yelled
to the object. Then everything went quiet...then the thing pounced and she screamed bloody murder.
Rose shot up out of her bed sweating. It was only a dream. She stood up slowly and made her way to her closet
and put on a silk black dress, she had recieved as a gift from her mother. Her blood red eyes glowed as
she brushed her silky hair, gazing out the window.

Grent stopped in annoyance, watching as the little humanoid kept running back, shooting his little gun at him. Growling, he slammed his war hammer against the ground, leaning against it. He wasn't tired, considering he had a shit load of stamina, but he was tired of this fucking game of bear and mouse

"You sure are a coward!" he yelled, his deep voice echoing.

"Come 'ere 'n fight like a man!" he screamed again, throwing down his hammer and taking off his brass knuckles.
    "Whispering....
    the Silence of the Night...."
